My daughter is almost 5, and my son is almost 3. We have been going to Advanced pediatric dentistry since my daughter's very first checkup! From the receptionist, to the assistants to the doctors, everyone is super friendly and professional! They make myself and my husband and kids feel relaxed and welcomed! So much so, that my kids are excited when we tell them that they have a dentist appointment! Lol, I hope that never changes as they get older. The front office staff was very short and rude. All medical forms had to be filled out and electronically signed on a tablet which was very frustrating, especially when you're filling in the same information (such as name, address and phone number) multiple times. The room where your child's exam is done is one large, open room with about six dental chairs in them. Personally, I do not see a benefit to this as there is no patient privacy and it's difficult to hear when (in my experience) another family's child is being unruly and loud. Lastly, when I tried to ask probing questions regarding a procedure recommended for my child, I was not given the respect of a real answer with details but rather "because that's procedure." Thankfully, I was able to do my own research and find the answers I was looking for but I will not be taking my child back to this dentist. read more

I've been coming to this office with my children for the last couple of years now... They have recently switched over to electronic paperwork and today was my 1 yr old first time there. Getting the paperwork filled out on the tablet was extremely difficult, the tablet kept freezing over and over. It took me 15 minutes to get through page 3 of 13! I asked the manager if they had a hard paper copies and she told me no, that everything had to be filled out on the tablet. She was very rude and not helpful at all! I've gone to this dental care for a long time now and there were nice but today there was a very rude assistant and was asking if I put underwear on and was very creepy and rude to me they should fire her and arrest her for sexual harassment and was screaming at me in front of other patients. read more

This is my family's favorite dentist office in the Tri-Cities. The staff is extremely experienced and great with kids. I can take all four of my kids to an appointment at the same time! I have 2 under two so that is no small feat! The confidence and professionalism that the staff exhibit is well above par and they gentleness they show all of my kids is unmatched. I will never go anywhere else! My kids actually look forward to going to the dentist and I don't get complaints about going-EVER! read more

I bring both of my children to Advanced Pediatric Dentistry. The office is in a very convenient location. The front office staff is friendly, helpful and willing to work with you to schedule appointments. The dental hygienists are good at keeping the children relaxed. I was also impressed with the dentist and how friendly she was while explaining my kids oral health. Most dentists are in a rush but she answered all my questions without making me feel like I was a bother. I would highly recommend Advanced Pediatric Dentistry. read more

My girls have been coming here since they were babies and they love it! They feel so welcomed and calm here with everyone! It's hard to get them up for school but when I say there is a dentist appointment that day, they are up within seconds and excited!! Very clean and organized and professional! If there was a ZERO I would give it. I had just switched insurances and had been referred here as our new dentist does not work on kids. We had all the information on what needed to be done, referral was sent, and then APD tells me we have to do two visits, one for a consultation on what they are going to do and the other is to do the work. I told them we already know what they need to do, can't they just look at the paperwork and get things done in one visit? Nope...oh well. So we get to the office...kids LOVED the lobby...games, play house, movie...I had to fill out paperwork on a tablet, most I left blank because the questions were unclear or I had already answered the question on a previous page. We had the work figured out, and I got the quote. Two days later, i take my daughter in for the work and I go to sign the quote as course of action was undecided until insurance could be called, and they had added another procedure to the list. Without discussing it with me, and it was just a preventative procedure, but they tried to make me feel bad for not agreeing, she has already had it done and it had failed, so no point to pay the extra $. Then it was time...my daughter had to get a crown. She had been given gas and a shot. About halfway through the procedure she starts to twitch and scream a little. I grabbed her leg and hand and asked if that hurt, with a few tears rolling down her cheek, she tried to say yes. I told them to give her another shot as she was in pain, "That's just pressure." The rest of the procedure went like this. "Oh that's just pressure." Was all I got. I had to let them finish because there was too much happening I couldn't leave her tooth like that. But I kept telling them she had work done before and this is NOT just pressure. After about 45 mins of her going through this, they turn the gas off, and she is in full tears..."mommy why did they hurt me? Why did you let them?" Again, "this is normal and just pressure. She needs to not be so dramatic." I told them I know my kid and this IS NOT normal. The Dr said it was and left to work on another patient. (As he had done multiple times during our appointment. He was constantly interrupted to go see another patient or talk about another patient) Now my daughter is 7...she knows the difference between pain and pressure. I am her mother and know when she's in pain. I spoke to TWO different dentists about this and they both told me that he must have missed the nerve, should have given her more nova cane and at the end should have prescribed something stronger than kids ibuprofen that I can get in the store. Needless to say I will NOT be taking my kids there ever again. I'll pay the out of pocket costs to ensure my kids have good dentists and are taken care of. This man I wish I got his name (believe he is Indian...not Native) should NEVER be allowed to work with kids. After 3 days of her being in pain, we have finally gotten it under control. Please if you are referred to them, please ask for a different referral. Most likely, there are more than one place to take your kids. read more

My sons experience was good. Dentist was very nice so was his assistant. I had a bad experience with getting the change I was owed back. I had to pay $58 dollars for my son to get laughing gas and I gave the receptionist $100 dollars. She gave me $22 dollars back. She shorted me $20 dollars. Upon calling them the receptionist insisted she gave me all my change and I had told her I wouldn't call to scam you, you really did short me money. I then had to talk to the general manager and she also told me that she basically couldn't help me. I told her that someone made off with my extra money then and thanks for nothing. I will never go back to that place! Very infuriating! read more
