I unfortunately broke my wrist recently (again) and decided to come back to Dr. Guidera (I have…read morebeen here for two surgeries and haven't had any issues until now). To say the least, that was a mistake. They left me with a $230 bill for a 15 minute visit, X-rays, and a splint that I could've bought at Walgreens for $10. Not to mention, I already had an identical splint on when I walked in. To be fair, I asked for the new splint hoping it'd be better than what I had. It was worse, and came with a price tag of over $100. Guidera and his PA told me the X-rays they JUST took weren't good enough and recommended that I get a CT scan done. He made a surprised/disgusted face when I sighed and looked down when he said I may need surgery. Sorry, I don't want to spend thousands more on my wrist if I don't absolutely have to... Anyways, after Guidera reviewed the CAT scan, his office informed me that I 'definitely' needed surgery and referred me to another hand surgeon since Guidera was unable to operate on anyone for 4 weeks due to his own surgery/injury. Well, that doctor said I did not need surgery and put me in a cast. Bottom line: Stay away from this office. They will nickle and dime you.

He was right on. The physical therapy has been working well. He spent quite a bit of time with explanations and actually listened to what I had learned with my own research. His staff was great and his nurse gave me her e-maill address as I left. A few days later I got a very nice follow up letter from him with his CELL PHONE NUMBER! When have you ever seen that? I was very impressed.

Classic scammy chiropractor techniques, I guess I was just surprised to see it still in 2019. On our way out we noticed they were renting people "The Truth About Vaccines" while they got Cold Laser Therapy done. Also, in the hour it took for the visit, they had not looked to see how much our co-pay was, leaving them to tell us it's usually $50. We let them know we saw it was $20 online and then they groaned and said okay it will be $20. Don't go here if you support vaccination.

After being a patient for over 2 years I am changing my review to one star for different reasons…read more Every time I need assistance and called the office, it went straight to the answering machine, and they returned the calls the next business day or never. Also, I was being overcharged by this office. I was being charged a full consultation, $180 every 3 months, plus all the high priced cholesterol pills and other supplements she tries to sell after every consultation. I found out later that as returning patient, I should be paying 30 minutes instead to 1 full hour. Also, dr Paula Lima made a mistake on my blood work and I had to do the blood work twice! and I was charged twice! Her mistake was because she said that is not necessary to be fasting before a Testosterone Blood Draw, she draw the blood and my result was sky high altered over 4000 and she wanted to diminish my medication! I told her the exam was altered and I asked for a new blood exam, she finally agreed to redo the blood draw a second time. I fasted before the exam, and the results come back normal. She never apologized for her mistake, just asked the secretary to call me saying the results were normal. Also, I was being prescribed Oral Testosterone by dr Paula Lima. I found out by different doctors that Oral Testosterone is dangerous because it is processed by the liver, and this medication should not be prescribed orally. I felt that I was just a font of revenue for them.

Dr Purcell did amazing work on my shoulder, and his staff has gone way beyond what is required of them. I had problems with other places, imaging, labs, things like that, and they were so quick to get on the phone and fix all those problems even though it wasn't their fault, just to make sure i was taken care of. They even delivered to my house, a pneumatic cryo shoulder brace, because they thought it would help with my pain and recovery. To my house, they personally brought it to my house and showed me how to use it!
