The appointment was scheduled for 5:40pm, we arrived at 5:37. We were greeted and checked in immediately, copayment was taken and by 5:48 my family member was taken in for imaging. No wait was necessary and it was fast. The front desk staff were very friendly. The radiologist was very helpful and informative, the care quality was great. I'm not sure how long walk in/no appointments wait time is. But as far as appointments, it was very easy, fast and straightforward.

Then as l'm being called in, lady comes back to window and she said you have to sign this form first, before we do your scan. Its basically is a wavier for them to charge you if insurance is denied... l said why didn't you get a pre approval for this test. We don't do that. How stupid is that. So l'll be charged if they don't code it right etc. She then said you'll be like a self pay and it's like $100.00 you can pay that now if you'd like. I said, can you write that down on this form you're wanting me to sign. NO l can't do that. Well then l can't believe what you're saying then, it says $532.00 on this form your wanting me to sign. Ahhhh I'm pissed at this point, my blood pressure is increasing and now I've got a headache from this BS. Not only is this place unprofessional they left someone's cell # for me to call if l had any questions, on the reminder call left on my cell phone. He was able to answer all my questions and ease anxiety. The front desk team was equally impressive and efficient. Check in was a breeze. Upon arrival, show ID, provide insurance information, fill out intake paperwork, and wait for your name. Pretty standard. Inside was clean and welcoming with a big screen tv for those who are accompanying the patients. One thing to note is that if patients want to grab a cd there is a $10 charge per cd. Just fill out appropriate papers, sign some Hippa releases and the CD with imaging will be printed and the report printed for you separately after the radiologist has seen the images and made the report. Reports usually take about a week to be ready. My advice: wait out the report, come back and pay the $10 to have everything done and printed at the same time. Hot tip 2: parking is free, easy, and super accessible. The location of CVI is first floor and depending on where you park, right smack in the front of the building if parking from Los Altos/Plaza side.

When I arrived, I began removing my jacket, watch, and jewelry simply to be cooperative. Derrick immediately became confrontational and started raising his voice, saying, "I already told you that you don't need to take off your watch and ring." This was not someone being direct or having a bad day. His tone, body language, and overall demeanor were aggressive enough that the interaction felt genuinely and completely inappropriate for a healthcare setting. I walked in calm, respectful, and friendly as I always do and was treated with open hostility from the start. Patients should never be spoken to or treated this way. Professionalism and basic respect cost nothing. Update: Upon the unbelievable interaction with the tech on Friday, I spoke with Shari the patient coordinator at Crown Valley Imaging and ask for a copy of my report once it became available and it arrived today Monday. Our NP got on the phone and set up an appointment with WaveImaging, which has practitioners in our town but had no nearby appointments. Ack! So, with the clock firmly against us, we hauled butt to San Clemente in order for family member to make it. Yes, the office is a bit dated looking but I didn't care about that; the front desk staff is friendly, the techs are friendly, and the waiting rooms are set up in a way where you don't need to hang out with thirty other nervous people. Family member said a lot of their anxiety about the test was alleviated by their professionalism. One star removed for not having the most up-to-date equipment; the next medical facility told us if their machine couldn't read the test results, family member would need to have the test performed a second time. We lucked out this time, but the anxiety came back upon initial announcement. I'd go again to this location if absolutely necessary (since we live a decent distance from them). Oh, if you're someone who is concerned about the state of barhrooms, theirs are great.

They were confused about the order so only did the soft tissue US until They could clarify the order with his doctor. My husband was told it was straightened out and went 2 more times to complete the test but each time they refused to do it. He was told the soft tissue US was normal, no hernia. He went to another imaging center and had both tests done and the soft tissue US DID reveal a hernia.

We thought we wouldn't be done until afternoon, but they were on point, they got the MRI done, then wheeled her out to another facility to do Xray, and the staff did all of it, put her on the wheel chair, came with her, then hauled her right back, so much caring and dedication they put in.
