Obviously we were alarmed and want to get the procedure done as quickly as possible. Additionally, we have a high deductible insurance plan so we were essentially self-pay. I called the office of Preferred Imaging at 1pm on a Friday. The representative was very polite and gave me a cash price for the MRA which I thought was quite reasonable. They got him in an hour later and told us we would have the results in the morning. Well sure enough, at 8:45am the next day - a Saturday - they emailed us the results. The results were negative which was a huge relief, but Preferred Imaging made ALL of this happen - test and results - with one hour's notice and had our test results 18 hours later. This is on a Friday-Saturday! I salute Preferred Imaging - Amarillo on outstanding service. They made things happen for the customer, without a bunch of delays, lines, and drama, and at a very reasonable price! Great Job!

The girl that did the MRI made me feel comfortable. I told her I was claustrophobic but if I close my eyes in entering the machine I will be fine. She said if you would like a wash cloth I can put it over your eyes. I said sure that will help. It went well We are all different. There are good days and no so good. My experience was a good one.

She takes her time and actually EXPLAINS what is going on with me. I was so impressed when I first met her (in the ER). Changed my care to her immediately and haven't looked back since. Being new to Amarillo its a great comfort when I see a positive outlook on someone who's caring for my personal well being. (I wish I remembered her name.) The Tech who did the mammogram wasn't as friendly, but she was very quick, so I'm okay with her being pretty abrupt. I was able to see my results quickly. So now I am good to just do monthly self exams until next year.
