I had to find a new provider and visited several companies and their approach was basically this is what's available, take it. Many vendors only had support for Apple cell!! Dr Miller actually called a couple manufacturers and found one that had an aid that met my requirements. Highly recommend Kaplin Hearing, who now operate under HearUSA.

Shame was I really wanted it because it supported 4 programs and multiple Bluetooth channels. Started visiting area Audiologists for my new hearing aids I've worn aids for over 20 years and know what I want and what to expect to pay. Shopping was so frustrating. Seemed most just wanted to sell you something and send you away. One had 4 brands that met my minimal requirements, but charged the exact same price for any of them! Finally stopped in Kaplan Hearing Center (now DBA HearUSA). The Audiologist Ms Miller listened to what I wanted and asked the right questions. I had my current hearing graph so no testing was required. She could see what I needed. She went down the list of brands they carried and unfortunately the only one that met my requirements was the same brand I has just returned. She really wanted to help me, so asked if I would reveal where I got the ones that failed. I told her and she said "let me check something". She called the support line and discussed with a tech for quit a while and found the warehouse I got the bad ones from are a lesser quality with less features, and were an older model. With her very professional treatment and I would have 6 months to try it, I decided to try it again. She placed the order and in a week I went back for the fitting. The aids had 3 program functions setup by the Audiologist and unlimited programs I could create myself. She set the 3 programs as I requested and showed me how to use all the functions from my Cell. It was a very satisfactory experience and I'd highly recommend them. A year later and I still love the aid. It pairs with my cell, laptop and car radio. OH! And I get free batteries for life. Their pricing is unbeatable (mine cost $2500 a pair) and is generally half of what others charge for the same or similar hearing aids-that's a lot of money. Additionally, their trial period after payment is twice as long as government mandated a full refund returned before 6 months. There is even greater savings if one can benefit from Cotsco's Kirkland brand hearing aid which is kept in stock and manufactured by a well-known respected national brand. Ordering if necessary is super quick 2-3 days. Colleen, with more than 30 years experience in providing hearing assertive devices, has state-of-the art knowledge to insure each of her customers receives her undivided attention, care and recommendations as to which of the many devices will achieve satisfactory results. Jon, a very capable professional is also impressive. Rounding out the team is Henry who runs business side, assists in explaining accessories (even pairing) and serves as a welcoming presence. No wonder it takes weeks to get the initial appointment (although just next day for an adjustment appointment). This is a great team, great service all at a great price.

I saw Dr. Bragg passing by the front desk and we greeted with each other briefly. We were then waiting in the lobby for about 15 minutes. Dr. Bragg did not have any patient at that time. She was only on the phone. My mom did not feel well and she can't endure such long wait. When we were finally admitted to her office, it was already 3:50 - twenty minutes later than the appointment time. Dr. Bragg should have better understanding in serving rather old senior patients in their late 80s. They are fragile. My mom was sent to ER on 4/16/23 due to weak heart and passed away in the rehab on 4/27/2023. Another incident: On 2/8/2023, we went to the clinic for hearing aid check. We were put to wait in the office for about 20 minutes by another doctor. All she did was changing the domes to smaller size. We appreciated her effort but it made the situation worse. One hearing aid slipped off her ear the next day and we didn't find it unit the 2nd day. It was pretty chaotic. At home, I found larger sized domes in the bag. I changed them within 5 minutes. My mom had complained about her hearing aids being too easy to fall off, but we were never advised the solution of custom made earmolds until the visit on 3/31/2023. Dr. Bragg made the molds and sent to the manufacture to custom make it. My mom was never able to use the customed earmolds..... The new earmolds are still sitting on my late mom's table. I respect Dr. Bragg and the other doctors and I also appreciate their care and patience in treating the senior patient. However, I hope they can serve the seniors patients better and truly put them first.

Dr. Jastreboff gave me my life back…read more After years of living around neighbors with no respect for noise ordinances or quiet hours, I developed a little known affliction called misophonia, which is best described as an acute hypersensitivity to certain sounds. You can learn more about it below: https://www.cnn.com/2017/02/06/health/misophonia-sounds-brain-study/index.html https://www.thedailybeast.com/for-people-who-hate-loud-noises-theres-a-new-therapy http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-5355283/Hatred-sound-leave-patients-physically-ill.html Mine was a relatively abnormal case as I developed symptoms later in life (most symptoms develop during childhood), and were triggered by low-toned sounds (e.g. heavy footfalls, loud bass, slamming of cabinets and drawers in other rooms/units), as opposed to the more common trigger noises such as such as crunching, chewing, slurping, pen clicking, or 'mouth breathing'. My symptoms were comparable to having a (invisible) panic attack- headaches, nausea, racing heartbeat, extreme anxiety- and I felt that almost consistently while at home. Imagine going through your day and, at random intervals, someone sneaks up behind you and pops a balloon. Now imagine that happening 30-50 times a day. Every day. For years. Imagine dreading leaving work every evening, and doing everything you can think of to be away from home (and the noise) as long and as often as possible. Imagine not having a peaceful night's sleep for years, due to either the noise, or the anxiety and fear of encountering it. Imagine sleeping with earplugs or earphones shoved deep into your ears, blaring white noise at dangerously high volumes, just to drown out the chaos around you. Imagine not being able to visit friends that live in apartments, for fear of hearing those same triggering sounds at their homes. Imagine avoiding visits with loved ones who have kids (and the running, jumping, and loud noises that come with them) for fear of having an attack. This was my life. After months of research, I realized that this was more than chronic irritation with inconsiderate neighbors. During my research, I repeatedly encountered quotes, citations, and research studies from Dr. Pawel Jastreboff, who is the preeminent researcher on this condition. In fact, he coined the term "misophonia", appropriately naming, characterizing, and legitimizing this mysterious condition that has baffled many doctors and therapists for quite some time. And, as luck would have it, his office was about an hour's drive from my home. After corresponding with his office to determine cost and treatment options (misophonia is not recognized as a 'real' condition by the medical community and, as such, treatments are not covered by insurance) I scheduled an appointment. Dr. Jastreboff gave me an overview of his practice, his research, and shared the experiences of some of his patients. He told me that his treatment protocols had a success rate of about 83%, which gave me more hope than I'd had in a long time. Afterwards, he explained to me the science behind misophonia and how it was affecting me. Essentially, my brain was not processing my "trigger sounds" correctly, and because of the stress of my living environment, it had been wired to process these otherwise benign sounds as an indication of a severe threat, triggering a perpetual 'fight-or-flight' response. The goal of the audiotherapy was to layer positive sounds and retrain my brain to hear and interpret sound correctly. After having my hearing tested by his in-house audiologist, he outlined the details of the treatment plan (which I was to perform at home using little more than a few Sound Oasis sound machines, and high quality speakers with which to play music.). He said the success of the treatment depended on my consistency in adhering to the daily protocols, as well as checking with him via email every two weeks so that he could monitor my progress and provide additional information and instructions, as needed. Admittedly, I was skeptical, as the treatment seemed too easy a remedy for something that had been so debilitating for me. However, little by little, I started to see and feel the results. One year later, I am 90-95% symptom free. Although my new home is not nearly as noisy or disruptive as my prior residences, it definitely has its own share of those same triggering neighbor noises (slamming doors/cabinets, heavy footsteps from neighbors,). Although I'm still acutely aware of the sounds, my reaction to them has reduced dramatically. More often that not, I have no visceral reaction to them at all. I haven't had an anxiety attack in months, and on the rare occasion that I am triggered by noise, the intensity is exponentially less severe and short-lived. My quality of life has greatly improved, and I can't thank Dr. Jastreboff and his team enough for, quite literally, giving me back my life.

I'm here to drop off my results on a CD because it's an imaging result and they're closed. It's still regular work hours and they're not here. I had to take time off work to come here and they're closed at a time their own phone message says they are open. I'm supposed to see the doctor next week. Dr. Duggle entered the exam room and did not speak to me as if I was invisible. He only listened to his assistant, who spoke to me about what I was there for. I said I fear having my ears cleaned because I'd heard it could cause tinnitus. He said, " I'm the doctor!" He proceeded to talk to me abruptly with arrogance. The more I tried to speak, the more he became biligerant. I apologized for wasting his time, I got up to leave, and I began to cry. He told me to stay for a hearing test.
