From setting the appointment to the post-procedure checkup phone call, my experience as a patient at Advanced Endodontic Care was exceptional. Within minutes of making the root canal appointment, Jayme called to let me know the estimated out of pocket expense. Additionally, on the day of treatment, Carly gave me a courtesy call to let me know the doctor was running a little behind schedule. Much appreciated--every doctor's office should take this initiative. The communication skills of the front desk employees were superb. Both dental assistants, Kristin and Adriel, were a pleasure. They possessed the training and social skills to care for me both as a patient and person. Both assistants were kind and intelligent individuals who easily anticipated the doctor's needs. Dr. Hawkins is clearly a technically skilled and thorough professional. Yet, he is an approachable individual with an inviting personality. His "chair-side manner" is reassuring, and Dr. Hawkins is, without question, adept at listening. When composure and competence intertwines naturally with gentle humor, a patient is quickly put at ease. Dr. Hawkins quickly made a positive impression. After the procedure is completed, the staff smartly takes the time to show the patient the before and after pictures of the tooth in question. Understanding and visually "seeing" what had just been accomplished during the root canal immediately made me feel like I had taken a gigantic step forward in improving my overall oral health. If family members or friends ever needed a root canal, I would urge them to not waste time fretting. I would encourage them to make an appointment with Dr. Hawkins, and let the courteous staff at Advanced Endodontic Care guide them through the process. I had to have two root canals during Covid-19. All the dentists in Moses Lake, WA were shut down to the public for regular dentistry issues. I had to have the root canals before I lost both teeth. So, my dentist suggested Tri-Cities root canal experts located in Richland on Columbia Park Trail. After some long debate on leaving our isolated existence, I agreed to go. I made the appointment with Dr. Hanson. I steeled myself to get ready for two painful procedures. I've had several root canals in the past that were long and painful, to say the least. However, Dr. Hanson and his staff were very, very competent and I was floored by my experience! From start to finish, I experienced no pain whatsoever!! In fact, Dr. Hanson was gentle and extremely thorough in every way possible. This was the first root canal I've had where it only took about an hour for two teeth and two crowns. I thought I'd be in pain when the novocaine were off, but I did not have any pain or discomfort ever! The staff was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable in root canals. The entire practice specializes in root canals, so they are very good at their jobs. Like I said, I've had root canals in the past. All made me feel like I was hit by a truck, run over, and hit again. Dr. Hanson is a consummate virtuoso in dentistry, and I've told everyone I know to go see the good doctors at Advanced Endodontic Care if they ever need a root canal. I cannot say enough good things about the Advanced Endodontic Care team. Reading some of the other reviews, my experience was the same. From the time I walked in to their beautiful office, to the time I left, 5 stars for everyone. Everyone was professional, personable, and incredibly nice. I think they are used to people coming in for root canals with terrified looks on their faces from all the horror stories they have heard over the years of the dreaded root canal. Me included. It couldn't have gone better. There is not a single aspect of the experience that was unpleasant or even slightly uncomfortable. And I'm a huge wimp when it comes to work on my mouth. Dr. Hansen and Kristen, who was assisting him, were kind, gentle, calming, empathetic, constantly explaining what they were doing when they saw a look of worry, and reassuring that I was doing great. I had a visit with Dr. Rolf to do a root canal. The office staff were very kind and Dr. Rolf was patient, kind, and took very good care of me. I was VERY nervous and felt super panicky. He answered any concerns I had before and after my procedure. I have to say, from the very beginning, this whole process was great. Not only did I not feel not one thing, not even a pinch from the numbing, but he was done before I knew it. They had headphones for listening to music and I just cranked those bad boys up. Guys, I kid you not, I almost fell asleep. I was that relaxed. And, no, I did not have any gas or medication to relax me. I was very comfortable and felt like I was in great hands. I was having tooth pain for a couple of days. I went to my Dentist only to learn my tooth was either dying or had died. And I was referred to Advanced Endodontic Care. I was advised that often their office is booked full and I may have to drive to Tri-Cities. When I called the receptionist was very helpful and after I gave her my information she called me back and asked if I could come right now 2/4/21!! I was so excited to have this taken care of and not have to prolong treatment! Dr Wuerch, DDS was great in keeping me informed as to what they're doing. I was in and out in ONE HOUR!! I highly recommend Advanced Endodontic Care in Richland. Dr. Hanson and his dental assistants are the best I've ever met. They made me feel safe and comfortable. They were very patient with me when I freaked out and had a panic attack as they were propping open my mouth. I don't know why I freaked out but they were calm and soothing. Excellent staff!!!! I hate root canals but when your dentist tells you the bad news, you scramble to make sure they send you somewhere good. I checked these guys out on their website and I was glad I did because it paid off. The staff was wonderful and the doctor who did my root canal was the new guy and he was excellent. I think his name is Dr. Hawkins. He knew his stuff and I was out in one hour and a half. My last root canal took over two hours with my last dentist in Wisconsin. It was pain free as well. I have had to have not one, but TWO root canals over the past few months. Dr. Hansen did the first one and Dr. Wuerch did the second. These two experiences convinced me that root canals have gotten a rum rap. Both procedures were done well, with little pain (either during or after), and in less time than I was expecting. The doctors and their assistants were great. I'd still rather be out sailing on the river than looking at it from their chair, but if I have to have another root canal, I'd gladly go back to AEC. Today, I came in the office to get help for some very serious pain I was having because of the previous dental work I got. I was in so much pain I cried for 6 days straight! i have never had such a wonderful experience from a Doctor or his staff! It was literally pain free! I am undone at their expertise and care and kindness. The location in Richland is BEAUTIFUL - while they are working on you - you get to gaze at the Mighty Columbia River and watch the people walk their dogs on the footpath. Best dentist experience of my life! I have never felt so taken care of, they gave me headphones with pandora, and little balls to squeeze. My anxiety was very manageable, which is rare for me. Staff is incredibly kind, professional and friendly. Dr. Hawkins performed my root canal retreatment quickly, gently and without any pain.
