If you are not comfortable in enclosed, tight spaces, get an open MRI. Machine is very noisy, even with headphones on. Very tight space and you cannot move for 15 minutes at a time. MRI's are uncomfortable but these machines need to be upgraded.

Probably just talking points on what to say if anyone complained!! But......what was really interesting was when my husband and I both complained at the front desk. We were told how the facility needed all new machines from a staff member. They knew exactly what we were talking about! I've had several MRI's in the past and this was the absolute worst!! When we arrived the waiting room looked nice, clean and modern. We never imagined the MRI Machine would be so crappy!!

I used ear plugs and headphones they provided, squeeze ball for my right hand while I held the alert button in my left and she placed a cloth over my eyes so I would not see the flashing lights. I got through it and wanted to thank Ashley from the bottom of my heart. She says she usually works out of the Riverview location, but I was really glad she was here for me yesterday. The most unorganized, poorly run, unprofessional facility I've ever been to. Why do I need to wait…read more30+ minutes to make an appointment for a scan? I waited almost my entire lunch hour just to set an appointment for another day. When I couldn't wait any longer, I went to one of the booths to ask for my script back, explaining that I needed to leave. The lady sitting at the desk doing nothing but scrolling on her phone gave me the worst attitude, all because of a simple task of retrieving my paperwork. This place has lazy, miserable workers. I'm sure there are some good people working here but the bad definitely outweigh the good. This will be my last time using this location. Definitely not recommended.

The…read morefront desk clerk, Sarah, refused to schedule the ultrasound my doctor specifically prescribed, insisting instead that I should get a mammogram. Even after explaining that my doctor had instructed me to continue with ultrasound imaging, she dismissed my statement and made unsolicited comments about what I "should" be doing. I was already in pain and under time pressure, and her behavior was invasive, dismissive, and unprofessional. I ended up having to insist that she at least process my X-rays. Staff handling patient intake should respect physician orders and treat patients professionally -- this experience fell far short. The waiting room like all the tgh offices/hospital are so cold and spartan, must be like what prison is. Just beige, no plants, no comfy chairs, just basic and pathetic. TGH is so cheap when it comes to amenities. There are none. A tv on the wall is not an amenity. At least they did have free wifi but it sucked too. The only saving grace was the lovely x-ray tech, sadly I forgot her name. She was amazing, kind, attentive and oh so helpful since I do not get around quickly. She waited and went above and beyond and opened every door for me all the way out to the parking lot.

They asked if I had the order from the doctor and I said NO because THEY had the order at their location when I called to make the appointment. Woman told me, no order, no appointment and she would check and call me back with the information. They did not call back so when I show up tomorrow I do not know if I will be turned away or not. Could not call my doctor to find out because they were having problems with their phones and I could not get through to them. Customer service has gone to heck in a handbasket!!

I was impressed with the quick response and feedback! The Imaging staff was so pleasant and understanding of my needs. We discussed the options available to avoid the delay in reading the X-rays for next time. I have been using the BayCare Health Hub in Valrico for a number of years. I moved to Lake Wales several years ago but even though my drive is almost 2 hours, I will continue to go there. The staff is pleasant and efficient and the facility is clean. I have had to call Baycare Imaging in Valrico on 2 separate occasions to request the results of my X-rays. I went to Imaging in enough time to have the results back before my scheduled PCP appointment! These were not complicated X-rays. This happening again is unacceptable. I go to Baycare Heath Hub in Valrico because I trust this business but that trust is quickly fading. Also I called prior to closing hours and the message was they were unable to take my call!

When I call my doctor's office while standing in the the Brandon Open MRI waiting room, I am told a different story about what Cigna said and who would be responsible for the authorization. Now, I get misunderstandings can happen, but why would Brandon Open MRI wait until the day of my appt to attempt to call me about a problem with an authorization which takes days to get done. Now I have to wait another week before I can be seen and have to stay on top of them to make sure the authorization gets done. I should not have to do their work for them just to get medical attention. I am highly disappointed that they don't care about their patients and even more so that I will have to endure another week in pain because of their incompetence.

Both my husband and I have come here out of convenience to see an orthopedoc doctor for sports…read moreinjuries relating to running - the office is closest to our house and only one of a few Ortho docs in the area. ** We've had bad experiences every time we've come here ** 1) Each time we've both waited almost an hour and a half or more just to be seen - I understand waiting at the doctor's office, but going on lunch break or before or after work it's not feasible to get in at the time appointments are made 2) While waiting, we just hear the staff is right outside of our door chatting about. There's no one checking in on you, they bring you into a room, tell you to wait and you're in there..for a while. While you hear them outside just talking about their weekends and other nonsense. 3) The Doctors we've seen aren't geniune or friendly. They're very straight forward and want to see you repeatedly to eat up your insurance. Even when there's no need, they recommend PT at their partner office instead of working through self care. 4) The front staff is clueless about insurance benefits and I've seen them use a 'cheat sheet' for reference - they go back and forth asking others questions instead of knowing how to process payment 5) Surgery is always encouraged here. I've been for a cyst on my food where surgery was my 'only option' for relief, when I ended up having it go away on its own eventually and with self care. My husband had 1 surgery, no proper care or follow up afterwards, and ended up needing a second surgery to get him to running again. It took almost 2 years total. I am definitely going to another to orthopedic doc going forward. I'm currently marathon training and will need care ongoing - but want to find a trustworthy doctor. I'd would rather drive farther to see a better doctor.

Usually I go to…read morethe Bloomingdale location, but they were booked up since I was late in requesting an appointment. Shame on me for waiting too long. I arrived super early since this was my first visit to St. Joseph's Hospital - South. I'm more familiar with the St. Joe's Women's Hospital in Tampa. Fortunately, it was easy to find on Big Bend. There's plenty of parking since the outpatient facility is a building that is separate from the hospital. I walked in and noticed that the labs are to the left while imaging is to the right. I was greeted immediately, signed in, and then took a seat in the waiting area. They called my name and I stepped up to the registration area. It was all very simple. I gave them the script from the doctor. They asked me a couple of questions and then I was taken to a separate waiting area for mammography. The waiting area is comfortable and clean. I didn't have to wait too long for the technician to come out. She gave me a warm cape to change into, and then showed me how to use the dressing room lockers to lock up my personal items. Every single staff member was friendly and professional. It's one of the staff qualities I've seen in all BayCare facilities. They all seem to be happy and friendly. It's almost as if it's a requirement for employment. I love that! Anyway, it was all very efficient. My technician was so awesome! I wish I could remember her name. She was so thorough, and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. Well, as comfortable as a mammogram can be. LOL! She made me laugh, and made me feel so at ease. I would totally request her again if I could. I wouldn't hesitate to schedule another appointment here in the future. The entire process was flawless.

It was quiet thank goodness, I was received cheerfully and admitted right away, I asked each caretaker their name but have forgotten some, The admitting nurse was amazing and kind, I remember she had dark hair and nice lashes and a cool script tat on her left arm. My attending nurse, Judith, (same name as my mom's, irony) was fantastic, calm, kind, nurturing. She took fantastic care of me and did not treat me like I was a hindrance. I want to say, Emily?, she took me to xray and was great and we had a nice chat about water shoes, Ecuador and earthing, there was another who did the administrative (long black hair and pretty eyes, she was cool too. I remember she had cool flower tats on her arm. Even the security guard at the entrance was super cool. The attending dr, was nice, kind and had a great bedside manner, not something I am used to from er drs. Ooh there was also a nice nurse who did my ekg. Overall despite being there under scary-ish circumstances w/super hi bp from crazy hip/back pain and stress, they made me feel welcome and cared for. The whole facility was nice, clean and modern. Every care worker in the halls, while i was being moved around was kind. It was a nice calming energy for a place that see lots of trauma and stress. So yes this is the first time I am giving 5 stars not only to TGH but an er. I am grateful for how kind and respectful the entire staff was to me yesterday, New Year's eve, when everyone should be allowed to rest w/fam & friends and bring in the new year with joy. Thank you.
