I got a…read morephone call in the first week of September trying to get me to book an appointment with Dr. Goodman since he was the doctor who saw me. I was out of town so I said I would call back. Called back today and was told right off they don't take market place insurance (Obamacare.) I don't have that kind of insurance. Even after telling the girl that answered the phone what kind of insurance I had she had to place me on hold several times to talk with the office manager. She came back on the line and told me they don't accept my insurance. So I called my provider. Sure enough this office is in my network. So my provider called them and conferenced me in after explaining to the new person that answered the phone that they did accept my insurance. Then they tried to say that the Dr. Goodman wasn't accepting new patients. That was a lie because a) He was the doctor at the event trying to get new business and b) the first girl I spoke to said he was booked until the middle of October but he was available after that.

I trust him with the serious stuff (including multiple biopsies) and equally with the decidedly less serious stuff. Despite my best efforts to convince him otherwise, he takes a conservative, natural approach to cosmetic treatments, which is exactly why I trust him completely with Botox, filler, and peels. He knows when to say yes, when to say no, and when to remind me that I do not, in fact, need more. Most recently, I brought my young daughter in for a minor skin issue. Dr. Hafeez's office is on the second floor. As I entered I was greeted by a sweet, smiling receptionist. Our wait in the reception area was short, but enjoyable. There was a comfortable program on the television (and it wasn't too loud). My FAVORITE part of the reception area is the peaceful fireplace - it looks as if fire is coming out of ice!!! I was welcomed by a sweet girl who took me to a clean and comfortable waiting room. I explained my problem and was treated respectfully. The music and peacefulness of the exam room made me quite comfortable as I waited for the doctor. When Dr. Hafeez entered he also was respectful and willing to listen as I explained my problem. After a thorough examination he advised me of the results and how to treat it. He was just as kind and helpful as his staff. A nurse practitioner came in, looked at it, told me it was benign and asked if I wanted it removed. I declined. Total time in the office, 20 minutes. Total time being seen, 5 minutes. Total bill, over $200!! No testing, no labs, no anything. She looked at it, and I left. YIKES!!! I won't be back. That is a bit ridiculous. I think any explanation would be comically entertaining.

When I arrived for my appointment I arrived 15 minutes early because I hadn't filled out my paperwork. I was able to do that on their iPad and then I was quickly taken back even before the time of my appointment. I then saw the doctor very quickly. She did her exam, diagnosed what she needed to. Gave me some information and that was it! Easy, very efficient and worth my time. Doctor is competent and the staff is great. Clinic seems to run very well. Side note I didn't have any major skin problems. I see other reviews on here that are negative and maybe if you're dealing with something difficult the experience is different but mine was good. The PA did an all over skin check and found a couple areas of concern. He saw Cindy Nguyen Hoang and I really liked her so I will be scheduling my next appointment with her. Her assistant was great too and I wish I knew her name, although she did tell it to us. I did like the sign in the lobby that states, "If you've been waiting 20 minutes to let us know". On both calls, she was rude, dismissive, and had an unnecessarily unpleasant attitude. There was no reason for the tone or lack of professionalism I experienced. Patient interactions should be handled with courtesy and respect, and that was completely missing in these conversations. One bad interaction can be overlooked, but having the same experience twice points to a larger customer service issue. Management should address this, because no patient should be made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome when calling the office.

We drove out of our way to bring her to her appointment, only to be told they wouldn't see her because my mom (her guardian) wasn't physically present -- We left, wasted more time driving to get the form signed in person, only to return and be told they still wouldn't accept it because they "couldn't confirm she actually signed it." Seriously? She signed the physical form -- what more proof do they need? No flexibility, no empathy, and absolutely no respect for their patients' time. For a practice we've trusted for years, this was incredibly frustrating and disheartening. It felt like they were looking for reasons not to help us. No compassion, no common sense, and clearly no care for their patients. If this is how they treat long-time families, I can't imagine how they treat new ones. Save yourself the headache and find a place that actually knows how to treat people like humans.
