This place is so hard to get hold of when calling them! I had a very bad experience with the receptionist. Getting a care for this place is terrible. I didn't want to use my insurance and was supposed to pay $39.99 (special) for my initial visit and told her not to use my insurance because I wasn't planning on going back for my dental needs as I wasn't happy with their service. Then they charged my insurance with so much and they they were even sending me a bill that was even so much more if I have to pay out of my pocket without using my insurance. This place in Fort Apache is terrible and so hard to reach them on the phone and I've gone there to settle my account but they are closed and to tell them not to use my insurance, but they charged it anyway and they collected so much money from my insurance! I will NOT RECOMMEND this place at all! Go somewhere else and avoid them totally! read more

Cancelled my membership! Horrible outfit and service! They canceled my appointments 5 times during the holidays. If i could give them a ZERO rating I would! read more

I've been going here for years and love it. This is a larger practice but they have great hygienists and a great process. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get into my appointment and the cleanings are always quick and painless. I haven't had any surgical procedures just my regular cleanings and a cavity but have really enjoyed. The quality of care you get here is better than other dentists I had gone to which is why this is my forever dentist. Smaller dentists often don't have the technology or money to invest in new equipment and this place is very up to date! read more

Best Dental Practice in the area. Dr. Vernon, Monica, Venice and Monique are all so sweetie and caring. I would highly recommend this dental practice. Top quality care and highly educated about the treatment needed. read more

This was first time visiting the Absolute dental. AND, I found really great dental team!!!!!!!! I was so impressed. Especially, Ms. Venice and Ms. Monique are the rockstars. I asked them so many questions and they responded kindly with details and patience. Ms. Venice ensured me that everything is okay when taking the X ray and during the treatment. Also, Dr. Jorhe was amazing. He was so gentle and careful, especially took enough time to clean and get the filling done. I was well taken care of. Lastly, all of them listened to me to make life easier. Thank you so so much, Ms. Venice, Ms. Monique, and Dr. Jorje. I will be the regular. read more

Fairly terrible experience at Absolute Dental. Bottom line up front I lost my tooth because of a crown that was set wrong and the tooth got reinfected. They might get you in fast but the work on your teeth may or may not be done right and you might have billing issues several months later. I would highly recommend finding a different dentist if it at all possible. They were able to get me in fast, but the concerning part was there was a ton of open dentistry booths open when they take you into the back. After my tooth got reinfected due to not setting the crown on properly a provider at Absolute Dental to me to get my tooth removed by another dentist and to not trust anyone within the Absolute Dental network. Speaks to the trust they have amongst their own network... Afterwards, I was called by the regional director and was offered a refund because of the botched work. This was over 4 months ago and still no refund after several calls. My experience has been awful from the start with insurance billing issues (they are still "waiting to see if the insurance will pay them" after 5 months and nothing has moved along. Keep in mind the place that removed my tooth was able to charge both of my insurances right away. Absolute Dental tried to charge me more after I had paid, after I questioned, they said never mind. It has been a constant headache with this company. Save yourself some time go somewhere else!! read more

Unfortunately Dr. Steve Lazar has retired as of March 2023. Today was my first visit with the new staff and Dr. Truong. When I first walked in, I was disappointed to see that Lorena was no longer there. I had been a long term customer for many years and felt that everyone treated me like family. I did not get the same treatment nor warm fuzzy feeling I would get walking in. Now they even lock the door as you go into the back :( Pros: Dr. Truong was very sweet and caring. He listened to my few concerns and gave me great recommendations when I asked for new dental floss and toothbrush options. He also did my cleaning which made me feel that I was getting exclusive treatment :) The TV's are still available with new & engaging content. From trivia questions, to fun facts, to movie & news clips, it kept me wanting to keep watching! Cons: The Dental Hygienist. I believe her name is Simona. She wasn't very nice nor friendly. She was cold and felt a little standoffish, and made some rude comments in the end. When she took my X-ray photos she also walked away (after she said we were done) but left me with the big x-ray machine in front of my face and the heavy vest on (I had to remove them myself). As she was polishing my teeth, she asked if I grind my teeth (even though I had shared the night guard with them) and when I showed it to her again, she told me it was cheaply made and needed to get a lab one made (which I had done with Dr. Lazar less than a year ago, it took 7-10 days to arrive) so it felt like they were just trying to upsell me. When she was done, I had to ask whether we were done or not because she didn't say anything further and left me just standing there w/the night guard on my hand. It made me miss previous dental hygienist, Roxanne, who was the sweetest and made you feel like you were best friends. The entire experience left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm also disappointed that there was no type of communication in the change of ownership. You show up thinking you're going to see Dr. Lazar and the rest of the staff you loved only to find out everything has changed. On a final note, as I checked out I told them I wanted to cancel my next cleaning (in 6 months) but conveniently enough for them, the date is "grayed" out in their system and they couldn't cancel it. She advised me to call a month before the appointment. Sigh. read more

Went to this location for an examination. When I did the exam and X-rays they told me there's no charge. I get a bill in the mail months later for $84, which is my responsibility after my insurance paid them over $60. Meanwhile they advertise that you can have a full exam and X-rays for $39. So if my insurance paid over $60, why are they asking for $84 more when they charge other people $39 total? This type of business practice made me decide not to do any treatment with them because I can't trust their billing processes. read more

I broke a tooth out of the blue. This left me with a hole & a lot of sensitivity on it. Honestly my main concerned was to not get an infection. My friend recommended me this Dentistry and now I see why. They were able to accommodate me same day (honestly within minutes of me calling in!) Lorena was so nice at front desk . The hygienist I don't recall her name now but was also very kind & patience towards me. Now let's get to Dr. Lazar . He said I needed a root canal & a crown which couldn't be done right on the spot BUT he manage to reforme my tooth with filling & medicine so the discomfort would go away. So appreciated!! Receptionist was so kind, assistants were awesome, and the dentist made me feel comfortable and welcome. I'm glad I found a new dentist close to my home that I don't get a panic attack going to. Wonderful reception and staff. You're in good hands at this location. Great experience. Nice office. Thank you.

They bought out Dr lazar...I had bad experience with them years ago. My friend got an $8,000 estimate..I told myself I'd never go to this dentist.. I consider myself the most down to earth individual. I don't get bothered by petty things and I realize people are human. Humans make mistakes, so as I sit here typing this review, I'm 100% sure I won't regret it. I had an appointment with my three children and arrived promptly. My mother also tagged along, because she was also looking for a new dentist. When I got to the front desk, I was greeted with a friendly smile. I absolutely love the staff that has taken care of me and the kids in the past. I let her know that I believed my middle child had a cavity. She proceeded to question what was done last time (6 months ago), because she could clearly see my daughter had cavities but didn't see a treatment plan. I had no idea my middle child had Any cavities whatsoever. So it was news to me, but not something to get upset over. She also let me know that it was an oversight and the Dentist would how we would proceed. Hey, no big deal right?? Well that's what I thought. All the children were put in chairs and their check ups/cleaning began. I was also seated with dental hygienist, who is awesome and an amazing individual. Ten minutes into my cleaning, the Dentist walks in and tells the hygienist that he needs to speak to me. With a horrible attitude, he proceeds to tell me that my middle child now has twice as many cavities compared to the last visit. He also tells me that she needed to see a specialist and if I refuse, then he will CALL CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES. He told me the treatment plans were explained to me and I didn't follow through! I ....was shocked that he would assume that I was a negligent parent. I don't think it really sunk in, because I found myself trying to excuse what happened and it wasn't even my fault. After I explained to him that it was an oversight and also stated that the secretary apologized, his whole demeanor changed and stated that it must have been a miscommunication. I am so angry and offended, that he didn't even take the time or energy to ask me what happened or if I was given a treatment plan for my child. He didn't bother to dig a little deeper and didn't bother asking the secretary about what happened. My children are my world and have seen a dentist every 6-8 months since before their first birthday. I pulled my three children from their dentist, just so they can come with me here. I even brought my fiancé and my mother, only to be shamed and spoken to with such disrespect. They will be losing 6 patients and I hope that in the future, he measures his words wisely. Instead of telling me it was a "miscommunication"??? An apology would have traveled miles with me. I would have forgiven and moved forward, but not like this. Not today and not ever. ***Update- Dr. Lazar did call to apologize. While I appreciate the apology, the damage has been done. Our family will be looking for another family dentist. ***** read more

After 60 years going to various dentist for everything from simple cleaning to root canals and crowns I can finally say that I found a "real" professional dentist. If only I had Steve Lazar as my dentist 40 years ago I would not be facing major dental work. Not only is he the first dentist who cared more about my dental health and financial concerns vs. just fixing a cavity and out the door you go, he spent more time with me than all the dentist I have been to in the past 5 years combined. What I learned is valuable information and a course of action that will restore my teeth for many years to come. I highly recommend him and his friendly, caring staff. read more

Dentist is an absolute condescending, egotistical, stuck-up, asshole. Absolutely shocked that he still has all of his teeth, I say this because I'm surprised someone hasn't forcefully removed them from his mouth with a solid right hook. Let me start off by saying I generally hate the dentist. I had a lot of bad experiences with them in the past and when I was a kid and it made me very wary ever since. Everyone at Dr. Lazar's office was amazing. The receptionist Sarah makes you feel at right at home, she is amazing at figuring out insurance issues. The assistants Sunshine and Steven are great at answering questions. And Dr. Lazar himself is extremely nice, very professional, and with a fantastic "chairside" manner. He is very good a translating from dentist speak into English so you'll know what's going on. In short- Amazing staff. But my favorite thing about Advanced Dentistry- the stations! Every chair station has it's own flat screen TV (I'd say around 20") mounted on the same type of moveable mount as the light. So when you are laying down having work done the TV is still right in front of you. I watched Friends during my cleaning, and How I Met Your Mother when I got my fillings. This is such a great touch because it allows you to not only block out the noise, NO DRILLING (they use air abrasion!), but to have a visual focus as well. This place has gotten me over my fear of the dentist with their excellent service and welcoming environment. And as strange as it sounds, I look forward to my next appointment. read more

This establishment billed my insurance before I had the procedure done to my tooth. Then harassed me like a bill collector to pay the remaining balance. I called my insurance company and found out they were harassing me because they should have never billed my insurance until the work was completed. The front desk here is great! Lorena is sweet and very personable. The dental assistants and the dental hygienist, are also great. Dr. Lazar, not so much. He is rude and condescending. He also made a reference to bulimia. I was in disbelief . read more

Dr. Lazar is seriously AS GOOD AS IT GETS. Not only is he a very professional dental master, he also has an upbeat, funny, magnetic personality. Makes going to the dentist much less horrifying. I just went to this dentist and it was an eye opening experience. Yes he is condescending and rude, but he is so entertaining. I was laughing at him on the inside, because, I did not want to rude (two rudes don't make it right). I've meet a lot of people in my life and I know they all don't have perfect teeth, I'm in that boat. After talking with Dentist Lazar; He told me that every dentist I had before him **cked my mouth up, and I didn't take care of my teeth. He is quite delusional; not about the teeth, but his sales pitch. He did the opposite for me. I felt relieved when I left his office--knowing the fact that I will never walk back into it again for dentistry. After about an hour of berating me, my previous dentist and the very fact that I walked into his office, I asked? Can you fix it, and here's the rub. He wants to redo all the horrible work that the other dentist have done. So, I suggested dentures. He said no if nothing hurts you don't need dentures. He wants to redo the path( fillings, crowns, and bridges) work done by other doctors. I smiled and walked out-best 39$ I've ever spent. We are not all ignorant, or poor. P.S. I paid cash, so they could not get a hold of my insurance-that could have b been it. read more

i am someone who was terrified of going to the dentist. until i finally couldnt put it off any longer since my wisdom teeth were starting to bother me more frequently. I went in prepared to be tortured but I came out a new believer and now an advocate of going to the dentist!! Dr. Lazar and his team have given me a complete new outlook on how dentistry is done. {skip to the end for a summary}* I also appreciated how the doctor didn't make me feel bad, (which was another huge reason I avoided going to the dentist) because I was quite embarrassed of the state that my teeth were in on my first visit. He and my hygienist, Yvonne, didnt once make me feel bad; just reassured me my teeth were fixable and not to worry. So I had periodontal cleaning, some fillings, as well as wisdom teeth extraction done. Yvonne made sure that I was completely comfortable and numb for the deep cleaning. I was a big chicken so even at the slightest sensation I would raise my hand so she can numb me some more. So they won't let you suffer because they think its enough numbing medication they'll let you tell them. Dr. Lazar did my fillings and he too wanted to make sure that at any signs of discomfort I would tell him. But my fillings were a breeze since i only had small cavities. Finally, after my mouth was finally cleaned out it was time to take out my wisdom teeth. I told them how scared I was and kept repeating it just in case they couldnt tell, but they said not to worry. I was prescribed some xanax, and on the day of the extraction I took one more pill plus laughing gas. Then Dr. Lazar got to work. Honestly I cant really recall the surgery at all but I remember responding to "open wider" and telling myself to breathe deep. The next thing i knew my ride was there to take me home. I was given post extraction instructions and told to call if i had any questions. Dr. lazar even personally called to check up the next day. *tl;dr: great, caring doctors here who know the dentist can scare the crap out of some people so they make your comfort their top priority! No pain just gains here at advanced dentistry read more
