She also acquired an infection due to untimely care/neglect, lack of knowledge and /or lack of training of equipment for her needs, lack of communication from the top people on down. Went to ER, then back to ICU for weeks until she passed. She suffered immense excruciating pain from the infection, daily. But for this infection, which was 100% avoidable, she would be with us today. My family followed up every day w/ her, and this place, to an unfortunate outcome for my family. They cannot just chalk this up to being short staffed or a mistake. I'm sad, and angry. Nothing changes until something changes. Please, just beware, and make your own choice, but know that the SYSTEM is broken and needs to be fixed.

That trainer just so happened to have have worked at a different location of BRG, and this trainer left that field because "They have like 10 or 12 back exercises and pretend to make you a custom program of 5 or 6 of 'em but really they're randomly picking them." If that was enough to cause a whole career change, I am a bit disappointed with the 'custom' program that had been developed for me. With that being said: Jodi was still awesome and while the physical therapy couldn't reverse something that needed surgery I guess I'd still recommend them.

Her office is very small so it doesn't have any equipment that requires large areas. And yet she does her best. She has limited hours, so she tries to be efficient. She is not a money grabber, i.e., not wanting you to have many sessions with her so that she can earn money, OT sessions are expensive! Instead, she works on a model of being consulting, giving you strategies that you can do with a parent/guardian, to save money. She also believes in the word "occupational." If a deficit doesn't affect your life, why do you need therapy? As an example, if you are not physically coordinated to play a certain sport, do you need therapy if you don't need or want to play that sport? Her assessment is reasonably thorough for a one-hour assessment. There are so many areas of OT that it can't be all assessed in one hour! There is no free WiFi. The place is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom, but it is not wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and a parking lot. Review 2023-278

I walked in to. find staff with clipboards walking all over the place like waitstaff at a busy restaurant . Then I saw the signs saying CHECK IN and also Check Out . A bit like the check-in desks at a busy airport. I was checked in quickly and directed to take a seat in the waiting area . It was like a scene I experienced in crowded doctor's office in India many years ago. There had to be 40 people in the waiting area , all holding their clip boards and paperwork . Staff , with the obligatory clip board , walking in calling the first name of the next patient . I thought , this will be my last visit to this place. I waited 45 minutes to see my provider , not unusual these days . Staff led me to the examining room and I was amazed to see TWENTY examining rooms , I got room 9 . Eventually the Physiatrist came in, no long wait . Introduced himself , failed to introduce the presumed scribe that came in with him. I got the sense I was being rushed and in a conveyor belt experience. The doc did seem to be skilled and I will return and see what visit two is like . At check-out I was taken care of by someone whose name tag said "Director of Operations". He was very pleasant and quick . Good to see he was on the front lines working with the grunts .

I had to repeatedly ask her to clarify what she was telling me. I did not receive any printed information on preparing for this procedure or what to expect or even if I could drive home on my own. In addition, she chastised me when I told her my pain level. Why ask that question if you don't take patients seriously. So I did what healthcare professionals tell us NOT to do, I had to look the information up on the internet. turns out that I do need a driver and a day off work which I did not prepare for. Sad when AI is your only hope. I have been with Excelsior for years and years. The changes that have been made in procedure and healthcare "professionals" are not an improvement for patients. I guess we all have to live with progress now that excelsior is a huge conglomerate and not patient centered. PS c Cori is not the only PA at excelsior who could take lessons from the frontline staff who are kind and respectful. Needless to say I am verry concerned about going through with the procedure.

The receptionists at the desk are friendly and helpful. Make sure you come 30 minutes early for your first visit to fill in paperwork. All the PTs here seem to know what they're doing and are very pleasant. Mike's helped us out a lot and is extremely knowledgable and patient. Definitely recommend!
