I want to be fair and make clear that Dr. Rand McClain and Nurse Rita were excellent. In my…read moreexperience, both genuinely care about their patients and went above and beyond to help me. Unfortunately, my experiences with other members of the office staff were very different. On one occasion, I needed therapeutic phlebotomy based on my physician's recommendation. The locations initially provided by the front office were not practical for me, and I explained that I needed medical direction because this was therapeutic phlebotomy, not simply donating blood. After I expressed my frustration about not receiving adequate assistance, I received a call from a physician who responded to me with, "What is your problem? Do you want us to do everything for you?" I found that response extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. Months later, I was driving roughly 50 miles to the office for a procedure I had coordinated with Nurse Rita. Because traffic had made me about 10 minutes late, I called the office while I was on my way. The front office told me I wasn't on the schedule and would not allow me to speak with Rita, even though she had coordinated the procedure. The final issue occurred when I missed an appointment because I was called away to respond to an emergency as a member of a SWAT team. I immediately contacted the office and apologized. I was told I would be charged for the missed appointment before management would even review the circumstances. When I asked whether management would speak with me before charging me, I was told no the charge would come first. At that point, I canceled my future appointments and decided I could no longer entrust my care to the practice. What makes this especially disappointing is that Dr. McClain and Rita are the exact opposite of these experiences. They have always treated me with professionalism and compassion. My issue is with the way I was treated by other members of the office and the apparent lack of consideration for the circumstances surrounding these situations. I am posting this review because I believe patients should know that the quality of the patient experience can depend greatly on who they are dealing with. I sincerely hope Dr. McClain becomes aware of these concerns, because the treatment I received from some members of the office did not reflect the level of care I received directly from him and Rita.

Hi Dr Cavaiola It's…read morereally upsetting to write this review. I'm still in the middle of my battle against breast cancer. I have worked with many naturopathic and functional Medicine doctors throughout Los Angeles for many years. In all of those years I have never been treated as poorly as I was by you and your office. In my time of most need and when I booked several hyperbaric chamber appointments with you to prepare for a bilateral mastectomy - you treated me with such a lack of care and consideration. You cancelled on me just days before Our many scheduled sessions. Mind you this cancellation was at the last minute - after explaining clearly my situation, after completing your extensive paperwork, after sending my hospital and imaging records to you, and after your taking a full deposit for each of the scheduled hyperbaric chamber sessions. Both my assistant and I spoke to you several times about my situation. Weeks went by and then all of a sudden I have another stressor to deal with. Your last minute cancellation was done by email stating that the chemo I received weeks prior to my first scheduled hyperbaric appointment would leak into your machine. I checked with my oncologist who said this was simply ridiculous. I also spoke with several doctors at Olympia Wound Center as well as 90210 Hyperbaric who all stated they work with post chemo patients all of the time to receive hyperbaric oxygen treatments. They too said this was completely untrue. Luckily, I was able to work with Olympia and re-schedule the multiple sessions I had originally scheduled with you. They all said it was completely lack of medical knowledge that your organization would believe I would leak chemo - given my last chemo session was on 8/5 and I was not scheduled with your office until 8/24. I can't help but wonder if you were canceling on me for personal reasons. Did I say or do something wrong? Do you really lack the knowledge of how long chemotherapy stays in the body? The worst part of the experience is that I didn't receive a phone call explaining the reason - conscious human to conscious human, an opportunity to talk to you by phone nor did I receive instructions on when I could come back to meet with you again to continue working on other healing modalities. I tried on multiple occasions to schedule a call to discuss a plan for my care with Conscious Human post surgery - omitting the hyperbaric chamber of course but still working together on IV therapy, infrared sauna, nutrition, many of the other services you offer that I was eager to begin with you. We tried several times to reach you. You would not give me the dignity of a call. As you can Imagine it's hard to understand how a company so integrative and caring about health could leave me stranded the way you did at my most vulnerable time. Thankfully I am heading towards good health and getting infrared sauna, IV therapy, naturopathic health and nutritional support from companies who care enough to take the time to communicate with their prospective patients and follow up with them, return calls and treat them as "conscious humans" might.

Here's my experience: Our initial meeting went pleasantly, leading us to believe this would be a good choice. However, during following visits, I started seeing their behavior change from being polite to a little bit rude. Afterwards, Cavaiola accidentally charged my card on file instead of my father's, and when I asked if he could reverse it and put it on the correct card instead, he responded with no and instead said something along the lines of "you guys are father and son, work it out, just get the cash from him". No apologies, no nothing, and this was the last exchange I had with the clinic. Here is the worst though; I found out later that they made false, hurtful accusations towards my father out of nowhere, after he showed nothing but love and respect throughout all the visits. I'm very glad our family decided to wait on following my fathers urges to make appointments here. I've never seen this behavior before especially coming from doctors. It's almost a joke, this place should be called Unconscious Inhuman Medicine. These are people I could never trust.

If you're looking for a doctor who will run an extensive list of tests but won't take the time to…read morethoroughly go over the results or if you're okay with minimal face-to-face time and very high out-of-pocket costs then Dr. Green's office might be a fit for you! After two separate consultations, each about two hours long, I was stunned when the doctor began our third visit by asking, "What brings you in today?" as if we hadn't already spent hours discussing my concerns. Instead of using that time to review the test results he'd ordered, he spent another 30 minutes at a cost of $350, offering little clarity. It left me with the impression that the practice is more focused on billing than on actually helping patients. I've since spoken to others who had similar experiences, so this doesn't appear to be an isolated case. I had hoped the office would have addressed this pattern by now, but unfortunately, it seems ongoing. Sharing this in hopes it helps others make a more informed decision.

HBOT therapy in a pressurized chamber was recommended to help support my recovery after major…read moresurgery so I choose this facility because of its location. Pros: The therapy seemed to help with healing and recovery. Technicians Bobby and Maddie were friendly and attentive. The chambers have overhead TVs for entertainment, since phones and other electronics are not allowed inside the chamber. Cons: The facility feels very bare-bones and looks like a converted storage space. There is no proper waiting room, changing area, or lockers for personal belongings, only a very small file cabinet. Patients wait directly in front of the chambers, and personal items like shoes and jackets are left on chairs or the floor. There's no privacy when entering or exiting the chamber, so surgery-related swelling, bruising, and inflammation will be seen by other patients waiting for their turn. The price felt high based on the very basic setup and overall experience. I would recommend HBOT therapy for recovery and healing, but this location may not meet expectations for patients looking for a more private, comfortable and upscale experience.
