I been waiting to write this review until I got my truck back but I might aswell write it now , hands down the best shop I ever been to. The communication with them is great. I needed a new engine , and was dealing with a warranty company that was not so great. And they took care of the whole process, step by step they kept me in the loop with pictures and processes. With the frustration any one would had said forget it we don't want the head ache but not them. When anything seemed off they went to extra mile to get it fix the right way, there job is to never see me again for the same issue . In a good way and you can tell they are doing that. Every one is super friendly and they gave a loaner knowing it was my only way to get back and forth from work. I drive an Audi and even the Audi dealership wasn't this good. I can't wait to get my baby back but at least I know it is in great hands . read more

I needed an oil change and inspection sticker. They asked if I'd like my tires rotated and I agreed. Next thing I'm told is I need rear brake pads so they won't give me an inspection sticker. I also need headlight bulb replaced. I was charged nearly $200 more than the garage down the road for brake pads one year ago. I was charged $50 to have headlight bulb changed And another $50 to have fog light bulb charged....I often get this done for free by local automotive stores!!!!! DROVE MY CAR FOR 30 MINS 80+ MPH FOR A TIRE SWAP! I Brought my 455 HP 2021 Chevy Camaro with 5k miles on it into a performance shop on 4/8/22 for a tire swap, alignment, and oil change. Initially I asked if I could wait at the shop with the car but was told that it would be a long wait so they'd set me up with a loaner car. I don't like leaving my car but I trusted this shop and thought it would be okay. Called the shop the day before to let them know my husband would be dropping the new tires off that afternoon; I asked about waiting again which they couldn't accommodate and when I asked about a loaner car they didn't have one set aside for me. I was pleasant, though disappointed. I'd have my husband drop me off and pick me up; a minor last-minute inconvenience. Upon arriving that morning at 8:15 am the two guys at the desk seemed pretty busy. I explained that I'd have to pick up the car before 3pm as I wouldn't have a ride to pick up my car afterwards. They didn't seem 100% confident that they could get it finished by then but I left with the vague impression it'd be finished in time. I took a photo of my odometer before leaving just to make myself feel better about leaving the car for the day. An hour after I dropped off the car I got a text alert from OnStar alerting me that there was no tire pressure in all four tires. I didn't know OnStar does text alerts so I was pleasantly surprised they were working on the car so quickly and then I decided to explore the app a bit. I could see on the Chevy Smart Driver section that the tech had driven it 7 miles prior to changing the tires. I was a bit annoyed because I've never had a mechanic test drive a car before he serviced it unless I brought a car in because of a specific problem. I don't see why a simple tire swap would lend itself to a test drive on a brand new vehicle seven miles. I also could tell from the app that he was doing harsh accelerations and hard braking. I then compared my 20-minute trip to drop the car at the shop and found that I had zero harsh accelerations and zero hard braking. Later I received more text alerts that the car was reaching speeds over 80 mph! When I checked the app the tech had driven my car for 22 mins (11 miles) after swapping the tires. And again, more harsh accelerations and braking. There was no alignment performed as I asked them to; they said since the car is so new it was already aligned properly. So why the 22 min 80+ mph joy ride? I worked hard to purchase this vehicle, it wasn't inexpensive and it's something I will be keeping for a long time. It's a fun and flashy V8 that sits in my heated garage all winter, it's not something I beat on or take to the track. I did not give this shop permission to speed in my vehicle, nor did I expect 18 extra miles on the car for a tire swap job. When we confronted the service manager at the desk and explained how upset and disappointed we were, instead of apologizing he attempted to justify the mechanic's behavior. He said it was standard practice on cars like mine to speed and make sure the alignment and tires are ok. I'm sorry but an alignment was never performed and I don't think it takes a 22 minute ride going over 80mph for two minutes (over 80mph 6 percent of the time) to tell if the alignment is off. Not to mention he was breaking the law going at least 15 miles over the posted speed limit; and who knows how fast he was actually going with a car capable of 176 miles per hour. They never got permission to drive the car in this manner more importantly, this is criminal; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. If you don't care that much about your car then I understand how this might sound trivial but I find this place of business to be grossly unprofessional and untrustworthy. The fact they defended the way the car was treated is a symptom of their unprofessional culture as a whole. If you do care about your car, you're best advised to steer clear of this shop. read more

Have gone to Advanced Automotive twice now and both experiences were good ones. Staff were very friendly and got back to me in a timely manner. One occasion was a result of mice eating my wiring harnesses. This was an expensive job due to the diagnostic work required and the extent of the damage but I feel they were very open about the work that was needed and supplied photos which was appreciated. The engine was obviously not doing well on its second trip in and I suspected it was serious and not worth fixing. They attempted to see what warranties may exist and quickly let me know what the issue was and didn't try to persuade me to do any expensive work which has been my experience with other garages in the past. The car wasn't worth the cost of repair and while they were kind enough not to say that, they didn't try to persuade me to fix it either and that was very much appreciated. I will go again and refer friends. read more

For the last year and a half I have done everything with Advanced Automotive Performance including a total break replacement done today. We had a very odd and very bad experience here. They seemed nice at first. We took the car in for an oil change. They informed us of several problems with the vehicle. Problems X, Y, and Z, could be fixed for a set price, and there was an oil leak that would need to eventually be fixed and would cost big bucks. We said, fix X, Y, and Z for the agreed price, we will deal with the oil leak later. In the mean time, they sent us a coupon in the mail for a certain amount off work done here, so I of course brought the coupon when I went to pick the car up from the repairs on X, Y, and Z. When the coupon was presented they gave me a problem saying they usually don't accept it for what I was having done. This was not noted on their coupon that they had sent me. Eventually they decided to accept their own coupon and acted like they were being super nice by doing so. I get the car home, my wife looked at the bill, and it turns out that even though they charged us the agreed upon price for fixing X, Y, and Z, they had only fixed X, & Y, and not Z. My wife called and left an angry message for them. They called back with excuses and apologies. We decided to give them another chance For the oil leak, we were told we should wait until we needed an oil change, and then call them about. This is what we did. When my wife called, whoever she spoke to was mad, thought she hadn't waited long enough, and was rude and yelled at her about it. She even asked the guy why he was yelling and being rude about us trying to give them a job that was potentially worth over a thousand dollars according to them. They guy ignored the question and kept yelling. My wife hung up. She was upset, and latter called back and left a message about it. Someone called back to "apologize" but whoever it was stated point blank to my wife, "No one here yelled at you." My wife hung up and called the better business bureau. We will never go here again, we will tell everyone we know not to go here. read more

This place was great. The guys went above and beyond for my situation. They were patient, thorough, and friendly. I had a little trouble with them later. They keep sending me emails to bring my car back for upkeep issues they listed for me. So, when I finally had some time and money, I tried replying to one of those emails and setting up the appointment through the prompts. I had some questions because it didn't work. I called the office, they couldn't get it together and figure out what I was talking about to even make an appointment. So I never went back. I also emailed recently for a quote and try to make contact, and figure out when to get work done, but heard nothing back. So I'm not going to bother with them anymore. read more

I have been going to Advanced Automotive for 4 years now. They always take good care of me anytime I'm in. Recently, my commercial vehicle which delivers goods to stores had a flat tire. If the truck is not running I don't make any money. They had an over packed schedule but took me right in I was in and out in under three hours. Most of the time was getting the tires. I've had my truck here a couple of times and I'll keep going back to them. Both times I've gone I've had Luke look at my truck and he always backs up my addressed issues and problems he finds with excellent pictures. Travis will always be inviting whether you call-in or walk-in. As for Paul, he is among one of the few service guys I've talked to who is incredibly honest and extremely helpful. You won't get the respect that Paul gives you anywhere else. I don't write reviews, but all of these guys have helped me so much they deserve all the credibility. Called and got a voicemail that doesn't have the correct Saturday hours. Because of the high reviews though I decided to try a drive by to see if they were open anyway. Turns out they were so I went in and no one was at the desk. Ended up waiting 15 minutes for someone to show up at the desk only to find out they don't take walk-in appointments on Saturdays. First off, let me say that I am a car guy and actually worked as a technician back in the 90's so I know all the tricks, the up-selling and often unsavory practices the are exercised day in and day out in this industry. Do yourself a favor and go see Paul at AAP. Paul is the real deal. He tells you what needs immediate attention and what can wait. I took my F550 to AAP on a referral from Fuller Auto in Auburn due to its size and complex Diesel engine. I had a serious coolant leak and Luke did a thorough evaluation of the entire truck and wrote up a very informative report with pictures to back all his observations. They fixed everything that I authorized and a few things complimentary. After picking up the truck there was a new problem, and they towed it back to their shop free of charge ($500 tow because of the size). It turned out to be completely unrelated, and they worked with my budget to correct the problem. There is a reason these guys are busy and it's because of their unique blend of technical ability, customer service, and honest business practices. They have earned a customer for life.
