However, last month I requested an oil change and a full check up, mentioning that the steering felt a little weird. I spoke to the mechanic on the phone, and they said it was all in my head and everything was fine. When I picked up my car they hadn't done an oil change, but I felt so dumb about the earlier conversation that I just paid for the check up and left. I went somewhere else to get an oil change and requested a trip check, not mentioning any issues, and they called me back saying the control arm and suspension had major issues. Neat-o!
