I was already working with Scott at Michigan Sandblasting and planned to have my Jeep's underbody sandblasted there. Rashid told me they could apply POR-15 afterward, so based on that I paid to have the Jeep towed down there. After it arrived, everything changed. Rashid started questioning the project and for over a week I was given the runaround. Multiple times Rashid told me he would "talk to Scott figure out a solution and call me back," but the call back never happened. Every time I followed up I got the same vague response and nothing actually moved forward. Rashid knew all of the details prior to me towing it down there. If this wasn't a job they wanted to take on, that should have been communicated from the beginning instead of telling me to bring the vehicle down and spend money towing it there. It's extremely frustrating to be told something can be done, only to have the shop avoid giving a straight answer after the vehicle is already there. Very disappointing and unprofessional way to handle a customer. I wasted time and money because they couldn't simply be upfront about whether they were willing to do the work.

I took the car to another shop the next morning, and they told me the issue was simply a worn ball joint. They fixed it within a few hours that same day for $465. The car is now driving perfectly. That's a significant difference in both scope and cost. Adam, the personable and highly competent manager, and his team know EXACTLY what they are doing with Europen exotic cars, and they do it with knowledge and care. Adam takes you under your car when on the lift and goes over and shows you all suggested repairs on your vehicle and why the work needs to be done and then gives you the exact price of what it will cost you prior to their starting the job. Owning both my Mercedes and Jag has proven to me that in general the only competent mechanics in my New York State area are at the dealerships where you pay HORRIBLY exhorbitant prices as compared to EUROPEN CAR CARE. Smaller independent repair locations usually just make your problems worse due to their lack of equipment and knowledge. I have also found that EUROPEAN CAR CARE completes your service or repair in a friendlier more honest way than most dealership shops for substantially less cost.
