Extremely poor referral handling and communication…read more My son was referred to this office twice, and both times the process was handled terribly. The first referral was essentially ignored, and I never received any follow-up. About a year later, my doctor sent another referral. I spoke with Carla and was told to allow 2-3 weeks for the referral to be processed, even though my doctor's office had already sent everything over. She then asked me to confirm our insurance information, which I did on August 18. Today is September 23, and after hearing absolutely nothing for over a month, I called them myself. Only then was I told that they do not accept our insurance. Even more frustrating, I was told that they apparently do not contact parents to let them know when insurance is not accepted. So had I not followed up myself, my child could have simply remained in limbo indefinitely. I then said I was willing to pay cash, only to be told they do not see children under 8 years old something that also could have been communicated from the beginning. This was not one small communication error. It was two separate referrals, repeated lack of follow-up, weeks of unnecessary waiting, and information that should have been provided immediately. When a child is being referred for hearing care, families should not have to repeatedly chase an office just to find out whether their child can even be seen. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that parents confirm everything themselves and think twice before relying on this office to manage a pediatric referral appropriately. Unfortunately, this experience also felt very typical of the level of care and communication I've grown to expect from healthcare in Las Vegas, and that is incredibly disappointing when it involves a child's hearing.

I purchased one of the top tier hearing aids and their selling point was that it is under warranty and if anything should happen they would send it out and provide me with loners until they are fixed. I am a single black mom, with a child who relies on my income. This was the main purpose I purchased from them as they believed in standing behind their product and supported me in not having any disruptions to provide for my child. This morning one of my units stopped working. They had me come in and said they would send it out to repair and to come back in an hour for a loner set. Once I left, they called me to say I was misinformed and that they no longer offer this service. Confirmed they never made patients aware but that the corporation HEARING LIFE purchased them and is enforcing this no matter the harm done to its patients. Is this the company you really want to get your hearing aids from? Someone who won't care what is currently happening in your life and what precious moment you could miss? They are business through and through and only care for your money. There are plenty of audiologist. I suggest going with one whom cares about your well being, not one that lies to get your hard earned money.

Tracy Diehm and her associate Kim quickly determined the right ear was severely plugged with ear wax (yuk!). So Tracy is very experienced with this problem, and quickly assured me she could get it out. It took persistance because it was really lodged in there tight. But she and Kim went through irrigating and syringing my ear until it finally came out. I immediately felt great relief as the pressure was gone from my ear. We were actually laughing together through this process as I am a jokester and they have a great sense of humor too! We then did a hearing check and Tracy informed me that I did not need a hearing aid, and advised me to come back yearly for a free check, just like I do with my optometrist. I am 63 years old, btw. After all this was done, she didn't even charge me! I insisted on paying for that rather long procedure. It was only $35.00 to restore my hearing. I HIGHLY recommend them, as they are honest, helpful and fun!
