I went in to Costco Warehouse to make an appointment for purchasing hearing aids at the Costco on…read moreS. Havana St, Aurora, CO. I was told first step is to make an appointment for hearing test. (Even though online it indicates Costco does take test from other sources, which I had done, this Costco does not and repeats the hearing test). I did that and it was for a week later. Scheduler couldn't have been nicer. An appointment was made for the actual hearing test, a week later. I arrived 30 minutes early and had to wait a considerable time. During my test the associate took 2 other customers, interrupting my test twice. I was asked to wait outside the testing booth. I did so trying to accommodate the scheduling they had obviously made with no care about their customers. At the end of the test the associate placed the hearing aids in my ears...one did not work, the other made a loud steady noise in my ear. She removed the hearing aids, fumbled with them a bit and then went to the door, opened it and indicated I was to leave...my appointment was ended. I received no demo of the hearing aids to know whether they were appropriate for me; her demo hearing aids did not work. (Customers need to do their research first of the brands of hearing aids Costco sells because there is no information provided or tested as to which hearing aid would be more appropriate for the customer) I expected a demonstration of the hearing aids I was to purchase and made the trip in to Costco again to ask for one. The scheduler look at the notes of my test and said the testing associate said she didn't believe I would use the hearing aids. Really? That's why I've made all these appointments, trips to Costco (one scheduled at noon on Sat...you know how that is) There was a back and forth with another associate and finally I got an appointment for a demo. I did go in and the same associate had a pair of hearing aids that did work and it was a successful experience. I did mention that I wondered why my chart indicated I wouldn't wear them and that it was so difficult to convince the scheduler that I wanted an appointment. It was all very civilized. I gave the go ahead to order them. Another appointment was made for a consultation for 11 days later to get my new hearing aids and have them programmed and instructions on care and how to use. This appointment went well and I walked out with the feeling this was going to work well to improve my lifestyle. Another appointment was made for a month later to check if they were working well for me and make any adjustments. It was a different Costco associate. During that time problems with charging the hearing aids did occurred. The hearing aids wouldn't would stay charged for only about 6 hours. I was told they should be charged for around 15 hours of use. There were other problems but we didn't discuss those. During this appointment she said my appointment was not at the time I arrived. I Knew I had not made a mistake. She was extremely rude. Telling me "how short they were on associates" (I don't wonder working with associates like that) and it was all my fault. It was quite an explosive lecture directed entirely at me with no acceptance they could be wrong in their schedule which has been not the best several times in this experience to buy hearing aids at Costco. The appointment was very short, but when I did not argue or be disrespectful in any way I thought maybe she was new and didn't understand customer service. Another appointment was made for me to return the hearing aids to the manufacturer a week later. I was prepared to go. My appointment was for 10:30. I received a voicemail at 9:53 that they had to reschedule my appointment and I should call them. I tried 4 times to return the call and it went to their voicemail. No one called me back. I went in to the Costco and arrived at the time of my original appointment. The SAME ASSOCIATE who had been so rude before was there. Sugar dripped. She was so sorry that an associate had to go home and no one there who could see me. There were TWO associates behind the counter. Her tone was so saccharine, nothing like the rude appointment before. Batting her eyes with a "have a nice day". I mentioned I hoped she had a nice day too. I questioned why it takes so long to return the hearing aids to her department so they can return to manufacturer...well sooo much paperwork and they have to walk to the front of the store to do something, etc., etc. Apparently there was a vindictiveness at play as a result of the previous appointment confusion. The blond associate (well today it was more brown hair) needs a review of customer service. Since there has been so much difficulty with the associates at this Costco and their obvious attitude I would never recommend this store. I have no experience with other warehouses but when I said I NO LONGER WANTED THE HEARING AIDS. It was of no concern to her...well...ok. Another appt made to cancel HAs.

And, the price of my hearing aids are almost HALF of what the independents charged! Picked up my hearing aids today and the fitting and explanation were thoroughly professional. I would recommend you skip going to the highly advertised places you see in the newspaper and go directly to Costco to have your hearing checked. You will be glad you did.

You, Brendan O'Toole, so-called hearing associate, obviously know nothing about how different people process information. My daughter has severe OCD, and processes information, depending on many factors. I tried to explain this to this "person", and he brushed me off by saying her cognition test score had nothing to do with her condition! Of course it does! "He" then proceeded to say that her cognition has significantly declined and my daughter should immediately see a neurologist regarding Alzheimer's. (She's 37 and is very concerned about diseases and illnesses). Her father died from Parkinson's. "He" said this in front of both of us! My daughter left the room crying and exclaimed she would never go back there and see him. I said neither would I! Such blatant lack of consideration for our feelings, along with his lack of knowledge should be reported to the Director of Audiology. As an aside, my daughter got her degree in classics and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.

I believe Dr. Link is a very good doctor and she cares about her patients but she…read more doesn't take insurance (but you can submit claims yourself which my mom's new doctor said as many times not as effective) and I feel like my mom's hearing aids and care were possibly around $2000 or even a somewhat more than they needed to be. We paid about $6000 up front for high-quality hearing aids which included hearing tests and follow up visits and insurance for the hearing aids but I believe even Dr. Link's office visits are on the high side. I believe we paid 150.00 even for a very short and simple office visit to clean ear wax from a hearing aid. My advice would be to call around because a lot of doctors take insurance and submit for you and the ins could pay for even a portion of the hearing aids plus a good portion of hearing tests. I found a great doctor in the Denver tech center less than 10 minutes away from the audiology method. my mom's hearing test according to her new doctor will probably only be about $18 after insurance is billed. Their hearing aid themselves will be about $2000 and that includes insurance for the hearing aids. Office visits will be about half the cost that Dr. Link was charging. I was able to find a Doctor Who takes insurance after only one phone call. If you don't mind the cost, the office staff is fantastic and I believe Dr. Link would take great care of anyone's hearing needs.

My tinnitus is terrible and it finally got so bad, that I needed help. I went here and got a hearing evaluation. I was then told I needed a 1K MRI to determine whether or not there was a benign tumor putting pressure on the inside of my ear. I could not afford it so I didn't do it. 6 months later, I can't stand it so I go back and get another evaluation. This time I am told there is another, very inexpensive test that can be done in the office and it would determine if I really need a MRI or not. I went for the test and I had a migraine brewing all day so it wasn't a good day to begin with. I told the PA that I just wanted to have the test done and leave. She did the test , then put me in a room with bright flourescent lights. My migraine went into hyper drive. After 10 minutes of not being acknowledged, I stormed out. So far this doesn't sound like it could be a 5 star review but here's where it gets good. Dr. Pingree called me after I paid the bill and enclosed a note voicing my displeasure. He asked me to tell him in detail what happened and what led to my negative experience. Has anybody EVER had this happen before? I haven't. I was happy to relate to him the details and he was very happy to tell me that this experience will be used as a way to train staff to be more respsonsive to patients and their needs. The point is that Dr. Pingree took time to listen to me and I could sense that he was deeply concerned about his customer care. I will defenitely give them another opportunity to help me in the near future.

The most negative experience I had was with my treatment I decided on after trying another medication two different times and not being able to tolerate it. I had one treatment and the office did not file the insurance correctly. In the span of six weeks, they were not able to figure out what they had done wrong. They never called my insurance company to find out how to rectify the situation (I confirmed). Luckily, I worked with the insurance to get them to do a one-time appeal. I missed my second and third treatment because of their negligence. The office manager is dishonest and flippant. I finally decided to leave the office, and two separate oncology offices were able to give me more information about my insurance and treatment in 1-2 phone calls that this office was ever able to give me. I have since left the office. My advice is to know everything about your treatment and insurance because this office will not take care of it. Also, if you wait in the room for more than 30 minutes, leave and demand back your copay. What a waste of two years at this place.

I do not have one complaint about this office. It's on the 4th floor of a nice building on the Rose campus and has plenty of parking: garage, lot, and valet. I've done all three without incident, but would not recommend the garage if you drive a large truck (think F250 extended cab). Everyone here is friendly and competent. The nurses who take your blood never have a hard time and require repeat stabbings. They have a great staff of genetic counselors to help you map out any family health issues. Finally, the doctors are excellent. My oncologist is my homeboy. I owe my life to him--literally.

Our baby was born small at 4lb 11oz and required triple feeding in the early days. We were exhausted and Wendy was so unbelievably helpful. Incredibly professional, caring, thoughtful and taught us SO MUCH. Even though it was our 3rd baby we learned about baby sleep from Wendy and honestly changed our whole lives because we were able to put our baby to sleep on her own and have our own sleep and time back in the evenings. Wendy did such an amazing job cleaning all the bottles and pump supplies too. Very thorough with her notetaking and never overstepped. She'd always offer advice but in that helpful kind non judgemental way that made me feel supported. We even hired Wendy ad hoc a few times after our initial night nanny stint to help with all 3 children primarily because we trusted her so much and knew our kids were in excellent hands.
