Called SVM after learning this and got an appt for replacement today (Thurs). Nikitia called prior to appt & said he could come sooner and I said great. Not only was he here sooner he got the job done quickly. Our washer & dryer were side by side w/the dryer hose passing behind the washer to where it exited--when the old washer became unbalanced it had banged into hose causing the hole that were unknown to us till it was exposed when new washer was installed. As a side note, when replacing a washer or dryer do not let the installer run a dryer hose behind a washer as if it becomes unbalanced it will damage the hose creating a fire risk.

A couple of years ago I noticed the amount of energy we were supposed to be getting with our solar panels had severely decreased as our SMUD bill increased. Someone recommended getting the panels cleaned. I saw a sign for Sierra Maintenance leaving our neighborhood and decided to give them a call. After they cleaned the panels, I noticed a lower SMUD bill the next month and in the subsequent months and even to this day. They also send before and after pictures which show just how filthy the panels can get. They also cleaned our gutters this time which I didn't realize had a ton of gunk in them. Our home is two-story ~ 4k sq foot. We have about 12 panels and it was ~$200 to clean them plus another $360 to clean the gutters. Excellent company, which I will refer to others as well as use again next year.

Our dryer vent was clogged, but not JUST clogged. The home builder had installed a faulty vent pipe that had two 90 degree turns! Herb attempted numerous times to clear the pipe from both the roof and ground level to no avail. Herb suggested installing a new solid straight pipe, but had to return the next day. He was up in our hot attic/crawlspace, seating profusely. Herb completed the job in a very timely manner, and never once complained about anything. Between 3 trips to a hot roof, and a sweltering attic, the guy was absolutely professional. I have been really skeptical of all HVAC companies in the past 5 years. I have been burned by so many HVAC techs and wasted so much money. 4 different companies went through with different shadiness levels giving me different answers for the same HVAC issue. Every company kept telling me my freon was low and i most likely had a leak. One company even told me to just replace my brand new system cause "it was from China" The Jaguar tech (Jeff) definitely gave me some disappointed head shakes at previous work but was the only one to truly put his head down, work, and diagnose the root cause of the issue. He checked every part of the system before he gave me an answer on what he believed was wrong. After the diagnosis he detailed every part of the HVAC unit (and attic unit) and explained to me what he was looking for, what he found, and what he believed was the answer. I never felt like he was up-selling me. It wasn't even a freon issue to begin with and the filter drier needed to be replaced. After another visit and a 4 hour procedure my HVAC unit has been running smoothly all Summer 2026. I will seriously only call this company from now on.

It had been a hot day and we noticed the A/C fan in their house was blowing loudly but it was sweltering inside. Took a peek at their thermostat, which read 77 but felt more like a 87 in our house. Temp was set for 72, but was not cooling. We commented that their A/C didn't seem to be working. Father-in-law said he would call one of the companies that sent an ad in the mail for "$49 A/C Tune-Up." We told him it'd definitely cost more than $49 to fix the issue, and that was just a ploy to get customers to call them and upcharge. I told them we'd contact the company that has helped my parents in the past. So I quickly logged on to Yelp to find the company. They were pretty quick to respond in the past, so I figured they would call the next day and set up an appt. I sent a message to them and was very surprised when I got a message back from them in minutes! Gave them a call and Vince told me he actually had a guy finishing up a project in our area. I was shocked because it was almost 8pm! He said they had two shifts for their company, since people are having A/C issues around the clock. Long story short, Brian showed up around 10-15 minutes after I got off the phone with Vince. I was kinda in disbelief about how fast everything had happened. We definitely didn't think we'd find a company who could make it out to their house while we were still there! Brian diagnosed the problem as the unit lacking refrigerant. Added 2 lbs of R22 and pretty soon we could feel cool air circulating through the house. Throughout the night, Vince kept in constant communication with us and had a fantastic sense of humor. When I told him the A/C was working now, he sent a Carlton dance gif, lol. After Brian left, Vince sent me an invoice. When I saw it, I thought, "Oh interesting, they changed their logo." A few minutes later, I realized I had actually messaged a different company on Yelp than I had intended. The companies' names are practically identical, except the other one had the word "plumbing" in it, lol. I told Vince of the mistake and we kinda laughed about it. He said, "We were meant to be!!!!" :) I was able to pay via Venmo and Vince was able to give my in-laws a senior discount. It was not cheap, but based on how quickly they were able to fix the issue, the convenience was worth it. Highly recommend this company and they will be our go-to in the future for HVAC repairs. From the moment I called and made an appointment I had a feeling it was going to be a really good experience. The woman who answered the phone was so friendly as well as professional and set me up for an appointment a few days later. I asked her if the service workers could install a new cover screen I had purchased for the outside vent exhaust and she thought it wouldn't be any problem. As promised, the service guys called when they were on their way and gave me an ETA, which was right on time for our scheduled appointment. They were friendly, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. As it turns out, they couldn't install the dryer vent cover that I had purchased because of the paint and stucco surrounding the opening, but fortunately, they had one in their truck that worked just fine. It was such a relief to find a company in which I have such confidence which means I won't procrastinate like I usually do in scheduling the next cleaning. I first learned about them from our local community Facebook group and I can see why so many neighbors recommended them. I thought their pricing was quite reasonable and competitive and certainly worth preventing a possible dryer fire.
