We had a lantern and a set of sliding doors installed at our property in Henley in April this year…read more The job itself was quite good, all completed in a week, with good communication. However, upon completion of the work we realised the installers had damaged our natural oak floor during installation. We raised this with WindowWorx who sent their General Manager to take a look. He verbally accepted liability and followed this up with an email, again, accepting liability. WindowWorx went ahead and got a quote for the repair work which was £2,500. Following this, the owner of the business asked to come and have a look himself, so we welcomed him in. He immediately started talking about getting the insurance companies involved to figure out whose liability it was, which was odd, as we'd already established this. Needless to say their insurance company sided with their client. They fabricated a story about us damaging the floor ourselves, with no evidence whatsoever. They carried out zero due diligence, they didn't even visit the property, they just palmed us off. We have evidence by way of photographs that the floor was undamaged before they carried out the work, and damaged once completed. We took legal action against WindowWorx (this is their trading name, the limited company is actually First Direct (Kingston) Ltd) at significant cost to us, but again, we were palmed off with the same letter we'd received weeks prior from the insurance company. It was simply too expensive to continue perusing the matter in the courts, so we just had to walk away with a massive loss and a damaged floor. These people are not kind, they're not honest - they are deceitful and they lie. I would avoid them at all cost.

I am delighted with the windows provided and fitted by WindowWorx. There was no hard sell - rather…read morea team of people who listened to what I wanted, and gave clear and sensible advice. The cost was extremely reasonable compared to others, and there were no hidden extras. The finished product is excellent and I have received positive comments from neighbours and visitors alike.

The finished product never disappoints. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, and indeed often do to friends and family. I don't normally write reviews for these websites but on this occasion I made an exception to correct the impression given by the other reviews. One of which appears to be very old and the other appears to relate to a different company.

This shop is part glass and mirror shop and part framing service. I've had some weird interactions…read morewith both sides of the business, but I persevere because they're just down the road. When I needed glass replacing in a window, I went in here for a quote and the guy exploded at me in anger for not coming in earlier in the day. I've never been told off before for being late as a customer! Anyone would think he was employing me, rather than the other way round! I used them anyway and they sent another guy round who replaced the window glass very quickly, so I don't know what all the fuss was about. (I suspect it had something to do with an afternoon football match.) I have also used the framing service and got a print reframed here for £20-£25, which I was pleased with. But when I went in recently for a quote, the guy handling the framing side didn't seem to know how to deal with more than one customer at once and just ignored me, even though the couple in front were busy browsing and he could easily have attended to me while they were making up their minds. I gave up waiting in the end and went home. A word of warning: beware asking the glass guy about frames or vice versa. I once made that mistake and got told in no uncertain terms that they are not responsible for the other half's business (a tad confusing as they share the shop, so how would you know?!). So watch out for shopkeepers with anger management issues! A handy shop to have on your high street, nonetheless.
