I rented an apartment with them from 2016 to 2017, and I have no complaints with the apartment or the management. When I rented with FHPM, the managers were John and Colleen Downham. I was on a tight schedule, but John went out of his way to meet me during the only window I had available and show me the three apartments that we discussed earlier that day. I got the keys to my apartment the following day, and had no issues with it the entire time I lived there. The only thing that happened during my rental period was that one of the common area washing machines didn't work, so I used a different machine and I left a message for FHPM that evening. I was told the machine was fixed the following day (I didn't verify this since I didn't need to do laundry again right away). When I moved out, Colleen quickly mailed me my full deposit back. This month, I am in need of a reference for another apartment rental in another state. Since I have lived in privately-owned housing ever since I moved way from MT, and for nearly two decades before renting in MT, FHPM was my only option I had to get a reference. I contacted FHPM, only to find out that John or Colleen were no longer there. Instead, Julie McHenry contacted me, and has been completely professional and understanding of my situation. She informed me that the previous management left very detailed records of my time with FHPM, and therefore she would gladly give me a reference. Julie even replied to an email I left her well after regular office hours one night. After such great service from Julie now, and John and Colleen then, I volunteered to give FHPM a review of my own. I strongly recommend giving FHPM a try if you are in need of an apartment in the greater Great Falls, MT area.

Jenna Macek has a bad attitude and says, "well, we didn't cause the washer to break" and "I'll call tomorrow" (2 days later). Wow, someone shouldn't be in customer service. We initially signed our contract with Krista, who seems great, but she is staying out of this latest fray and so is the dad, Mark. The receptionist, Miranda, had to tell Jenna right away when I was venting to her on the phone, which caused a call to me, at work, to tell me she, "didn't appreciate me bashing her!" I stopped her and told her to just do her job and hung up. This is exhausting and unprofessional. Too bad there's not someone who is willing to step up here. I really hate drama. Their properties are nice enough and the screening is extremely stringent, but the place we are renting has bullet holes in the back unit from a disgruntled former tenant and cannot be rented. We share a garage and the yard has to be accessed by both tenants to get to the garage so it will never be private. We had a terrible move-in condition report of small items that were nuisances like broken freezer door brackets, loose electrical switch plates, loose toilet brackets...things you don't notice when you move in right away. Slowly, slowly they send someone out...then they don't contact the landlord to get it approved for another week. This is the 2nd time around with the washing machine. The first time was 10 days while we had to use a coin-op laundry 3 miles away (nothing closer). Super annoying how I'm being ignored. I guess they figure they have all of the power. So I'm resorting to the internet to vent. If you like things to work in your house, don't rent from Macek.

I cant begin to express the level of knowledge, professionalism, patience, and determination that Kim possesses. I had a lot of extra challenges preparing the home for sale as it was acquired from my mother who had recently passed. There were many repairs needed for the home, so this took some time to accomplish. I would often get extremely overwhelmed and stressed during this process, having to find contractors, arraigning appointments. Kim jumped on board and gave awesome recommendations, all of whom turned out to be incredible. She was beyond encouraging and supportive! I can't express enough how she helped me stay calm, assured, and positive about this process. Even to this day, we were on time and ahead. She still chose to evict us, two people with disabilities, anyway . My wife is Blind, and I have severe mental health disabilities. But throwing us out into the street did not matter to her at all. The way that we are being forced out of this home is illegal according to Montana renters rights. I found this out when I called up the cascade county sheriffs department and I was told that the process that they are doing is completely wrong and illegal. We are supposed to get an eviction notice served by the sheriff department and that has never happened. With the moving process taking time to move everything out all I asked was for a few more days but instead of choosing to be understanding she decided to deduct money from our deposit. So if you happen to be new to the city, or even if you just haven't been able to do much research, let me be your warning since they decided to be dirty and hide every single bad review online! this place is a JOKE. do NOT MOVE HERE. I am paying over $1000 a month for an apartment that was advertised as "freshly renovated", but in reality was pure hell. we are currently trying to get out of this sh!thole ASAP and we've only been here for TWO MONTHS. I absolutely refuse to have my baby in this complex. these landlords do not give two sh!ts about your health or anything here. I am 6 months pregnant and they failed to inform me that: 1. the entire building is infested with German Cockroaches. I'm talking hiding all around my kitchen, living room and bathroom. (They are so small that they can hide inside of the trim of the walls.) 2. our apartment and the neighbors next to me were APPARENTLY the worst apartments regarding the infestation, and the best part is they considered the infestation as "controlled" since they painted the walls (and floor, trim, cabinets, counters, etc) to cover up the fact that cigarette smoke had stained literally everything to piss yellow. 3. the building ALWAYS stinks and is filthy outside AND inside. I'm talking trash and dog crap outside in the lawn 24/7, I've seen children's used underwear be left in the lawn for over a week with no concern. 4. all plumbing has some sort of issue. (toilet is hard to flush, bathtub barely drains, sinks leak when used, toilet valve leaks occasionally, etc.) 5. everything was filthy when we moved in, even though they claimed it was move in ready and "freshly renovated" (aka painted over every flaw, INCLUDING A BUG. YES THERE IS A ROACH PAINTED TO ONE OF MY WALLS. and cheap, fake wood floors.) 6. A MAJORITY of the neighbors are absolutely disgusting with the way they live and take care of their place/selves. They're also very inconsiderate of everyone around them. (upstairs neighbors are constantly stomping when they walk, and not at all lightly. basically every dog here barks ALL day long, and the owners do not care.) 7. neighbors also smoke cigarettes inside constantly, I had to complain because I literally was tasting the smoke in my kitchen and bathroom. They didn't do much about it, shocker. 8. they have "pest control" come in monthly, but in reality, it's just the maintenance man with some roach bait that you can buy at Walmart for $5. it doesn't do sh!t and they're well aware of it. (literally had him tell us "yeah just make sure to keep all your food in airtight containers and whatnot! these guys suck!" after saying "wow this place isn't that bad!" even though we had just shown him our pest trap that was entirely filled with German Cockroaches. all of that told me that they KNOW these stupid bugs aren't going ANYWHERE and that they just accepted that. (No. I cannot do anything about this legally, they hid all of the pest information in the lease under sections you'd never consider them to be at.) 9. The dumpsters here fill up within two days after being emptied. There is always some sort of couch or mattress being thrown out which also concerns me and makes me question if it's possibly bedbugs? I sure as hell hope not! 10. THEY NEVER GAVE US THE SHEET TO NAME OFF ANY FLAWS AND/OR DAMAGES THAT WERE HERE ALREADY WHEN WE MOVED IN. Therefore, we already KNOW we ain't getting the deposit back neither, even though i have made sure to take pictures of every single thing I noticed. 11. They also failed to inform us that there is "a possibility of LEAD PAINT being used for any modifications" which is dangerous in itself. 12. my immediate next door neighbors apartment was filled with trash all the way to the ceiling. And I'm not exaggerating. they have a dog that I've NEVER once seen go outside to use the bathroom. Must be why our floor smells like sh!t 24/7. 13. THEY HAVE HIDDEN EVERY SINGLE BAD REVIEW AND DELETED THEIR ACTUAL SITE SO YOU CANNOT LEAVE REVIEWS ANYMORE. EVEN THEIR FACEBOOK HAS BEEN ABANDONED. YELP IS THE ONLY PLACE I WAS ABLE TO FIND REVIEWS THAT SHOWED THE TRUE HELL THIS PLACE IS. There's so much more I could add, but god, please do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. These people are sneaky, filthy and selfish. They do not care about anything but making money off of this building that should truthfully be burnt down at this point.
