They also overcharge for medication. For example instead of putting 60 pills for one of my prescriptions in one bottle to equal one copay, they separate it, so they charge you twice. When I questioned this business process, the pharmacist got extremely angry and unstable. I moved my medicine to a different pharmacy that day because I didn't feel comfortable someone like that handling my medication. Its a shame because I prefer to support local businesses but not at this cost. Also the store always looks disheveled and really needs to be cleaned and organized. Parking isn't great either. ***Just to add to this review. The pharmacy is also holding my prescriptions hostage and refusing to send them to my new pharmacy. Really inappropriate and dangerous considering one of the medications I take is for my heart condition. Please do not use them. Horrible Service. My family and I have been long term clients of Dale (3 patients, many years). We…read morecould always deal with the wait times but after I was discharged from the hospital, I needed my medications as soon as possible. I had a family member go as soon as it was open to get the medication to make sure we could get medication before I got worse again. We explained that we really need the medication as quick as possible as I was getting very sick again and asked very nicely (begged) to plllllease fill the script as quickly as possible. They said less than thirty minutes. And hour later they are saying they need another 20 minutes and that other people were in front of me, the pharmacist then goes to the back and starts joking around with the other one. Because of how long it took, I got sick again to the point where I couldnt tolerate my much needed medication and had to be hospitalized again. NEVER going back, dont give them your business. Horrible people with no compassion. They dont care about you, all they see are dollar bills. Side note, I called a local walgreens to fill a diff script that I needed, was a call in order by the doctor because I needed more medications... called them and they filled the script before we could reach their door. There is no reason for medications, especially ones that are very much needed in an emergency, should take so long to fill. The people working for the 'big bad corp' cared more then the mom and pop pharmacy. Now giving that walgreens (on yellowstone and queens blvd) my business instead and so is the rest of my family! They also once gave the OPPOSITE instructions to my mother for her medication. They told her to make sure she drank a glass of milk with her medication when the medication notes available by the manufacturer clearly state to NOT drink ANY MILK while taking the medication. Although there was a wait before someone helped me once they did they were very helpful. They opened the plastic holding the shoe to get the right size and to show me the options. Plus if they were not open on Saturday afternoon I would have had to wait till Monday. They had a large selection of items.
