Nice modern and fairly new Advance Auto Parts store in the Governor Francis Shopping center in Warwick. I went in because my car had some issues starting, so in the spirit of research and finding out costs, I went to see how much a new battery would cost. They had a great selection of them, including Die Hard, which used to be sold only at Sears...many...many years ago... That brand has since been sold to Advance Auto Parts (in 2019-2020). I can't believe how expensive these batteries cost, but again, this is the "heart" of your car, so better get one that starts all the time. Upsold me on something I didn't need. Spent $300 instead of $50. I confirmed I could return it when I bought it. I come back in to return it and I'm told it can't be returned because it's an electronic. Worst customer experience. read more

Wow. Really displeased with a few things about this location compared to others I've been to. First off, the AC canister I needed wasn't available in the aisles. What's the purpose behind this? It took me quite a while to figure out where they were, and since no one was around the aisles to ask, I finally went up to the cash registers, where I saw it behind the counter. If something is behind the counter, it's much more difficult for me to compare products. I want to be able to grab exactly what I need without having to ask for it so I can make a quick trip and be on my way. Also making the quick trip difficult was the fact that no one seemed available to help, customers or no. At no point, as I stood by the cash register, did anyone ask me if I needed help. I finally had to ask a man who came out of the office, who then referred me to the cashiers who hadn't taken the time to ask me what I needed. The cashiers were at no point friendly or enthusiastic. I'm normally a fan of Advance Auto Parts, but this crew needs to step it up, starting with getting a larger selection out on the floor and honing in on customer service. read more

Awful customer service. 3 people in the back, one at register. Waiting and waiting and waiting on my lunchbreak. I finally ask the lady atheling a customer in front of me if she could get someone in the back to ring me out. She states, go to the commercial counter in back and WAYNE will help you. The guys rolls his eyes at me when I go back there. Tells me to hold and proceeds to take three phone calls before a customer standing live in person right in front of him. No more, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Needed a battery, so I called and went in and was helped immediately. From the moment I pulled up and left with a new battery installed it couldn't have been more than 15-20 minutes (Including battery testing, payment, and installation). The people that helped me were friendly and knowledgeable, will absolutely use this store for all my Auto needs! read more

I went into the warwick location and purchased a wiper blade which I paid about $23 for! I went back to return it a few days later and had a major issue with the employee first he tried to refund me only $4 saying the blade is now on sale! Which wouldn't matter because I was in the return timeframe and I paid $23! After showing him what I paid and him going back and fourth with me he started the return refunding me only $21 i was just so frustrated I just left! Come to find out the blade was never on sale for $4 the associate tried scamming me and instead of ringing in the scan on the blade he scanned some kind of fluid I never purchased which was where the $4 came from! I have a funny feeling this kid does this to a lot of people and is stealing from customers and the store! I have reported it advance auto customer service and they were able to confirm what he did from the transactions and canceled sales so that helped! I am waiting to hear from the store manager hopefully I receive a call so they'll look into this and see how many customers HES tried stealing from! do not go try to return anything at this store!! read more

I went to the Advance Auto Parts store on Warwick Ave. several months ago for a fuse replacement for an Infiniti I30. The male employee, who said he normally works at a Massachusetts location, found the part and replaced it in the parking lot. Job well done. Yesterday, I bought a couple wiper blades online with a promo code and the female came out in the rain and put them on. Another job well done. What more can you ask. Fantastic service on a Sunday morning! Needed battery tested and replaced due to the cold snap. I came in within the first hour they were open. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and very helpful. I felt bad making one of them change out my battery, especially since mine is double the size of a normal one and in my trunk. She was nothing but pleasant the entire time. I was in and out within 30 minutes. read more
