It was time to replace my headlights and Autozone - Union City was the closest location. As I want…read moreto spend as little time in the store as possible, I opted to make my purchase online and do an in-store pickup. The online process was simple. I updated my car, made my selections, added it to my cart and proceeded to make payment. Once payment was made, I received an email confirming my purchase as well as order status with the store... When my order was ready I was alerted via email and text message and began to make my way to the store. Autozone - Union City was easy to find as it sits directly on Roosevelt Highway. I pulled in, parked, and proceeded inside. The store was clean and had the Autozone car care smell that all the stores have. LoL!!! It smells like inventory and mechanics. Haha! I walked to the counter, provided the clerk with my barcode that was in my email. She advised that the barcodes never work but she would give it a try. Her thoughts were correct as the barcode yielded nothing. However, she was able to retrieve my order via my last name. She located my bag and I was on my way. The entire in-store experience was all of maybe 3 minutes. Just like I love it. In and out. This is what online ordering and in store pick up is all about. Though my interaction was minimal, the clerk smiled, was pleasant, and wished me a good day. So the service was good in my opinion. Furthermore, the lady was very engaging as a whole.

So went to the counter, where three people were working. A woman cashier was handling a transaction while two other employees were at another cash register talking. One of them had his hat with the bill on the side of his head and was complaining about his dad or something, and the two of them just kept talking as if I wasn't even there. They didn't acknowledge me at all - I was maybe 7 feet away for about 30 seconds. I left, and they didn't even care - still were chit-chatting.

I'm pretty sure that management is trying to fill in so they can get a break at this location. His reason for pulling me over was because my license plate light was out. NOT THE brake, tail, etc lights. You could still see the license plate. I was let off with a warning. I was exhausted after church services back to back so I tried to rest and it was still bothering me about my plate light. I got up and found the closest place with my car's make and model light was Autozone on Lanier Street. I called and spoke with Marjorie. She was so kind and said I'll be here and we'll try to help you change the light. She's that lady with "girl power magic" go getting attitude. She tried and even went on YouTube to see how to change the bulb, because couldn't figure it out but tried very hard. The Asst. Store Mgr. Caleb stepped in and he too went over and above to help me. He seemed familiar and was able to change the light bulbs for me. I was grateful the Lord put two kind spirited people at that store to help me, because I was very bothered by that stop by the officer. If I ever need any other auto supplies for my car I'd definitely go back to this store, because they were kind, had stellar customer service, and pro active. All done with a smile. God bless you both Caleb and Marjorie.

I had two concerns: the transmission and the oil leak. Meineke partially addressed one concern--…read morethe transmission. Meineke performed a diagnostic and presented me with 2 codes. I was told I would have to go to the dealer for the repair. The oil leak was not addressed. The diagnostic was supposed to be provided within one hour because I am a AAA member. It was not provided within that timeframe. The technician said that Meineke was not required to diagnose my car within an hour, just first come first come. Clearly, the technician did not know the AAA policy. According to AAA, I was also supposed to receive a multipoint inspection. I did not receive that either. Ultimately, I had to take my car to the dealer. I provided the dealer the codes I had received from Meineke. There were many more codes for the transmission than the ones Meineke provided. This trip to Meineke was definitely not worth the money nor the time and effort.

I tried to explain to the manager(Richard) and he wouldn't look at what Autozone had given me but instead said that they had to do their own diagnostic. When I returned to pick up the car, Richard said I had a filthy filter and that was causing my engine light to come on. After paying $100 for a diagnostics and $100 for a filter, the tire light came back on the next day. Took it back and was told the problem was not covered by my warranty and it would cost me another $1000 to fix. I had another issue with my brakes and after waiting 1 hr and 40 mins, he said I wasn't covered again even though my warranty company said I was. I called Corporate to complain and asked for my $200 to be returned. However, since this store isn't Corporate, Richard would not refund it. Needless to say, I will never give my business to this company ever again!
