I'm not an expert on freight, but Grok states $465 is higher than what they calculate for that same shipment. This is just an FYI and may not be accurate. $465 just seems like a lot. There could be other factors I did not consider. Just be aware. Here is what Grok estimates it should cost. Step 4: Final Estimate Considering Terryville Auto Parts' experience with shipping auto parts and the likelihood of LTL freight: Freight (LTL): Base cost: $100-$150 (minimum charge or CWT-based). Fuel surcharge: $20-$40. Residential/liftgate: $50-$100. Total: $170-$290. Parcel (UPS/FedEx): Base cost: $50-$100. Oversize/residential fees: $5-$20. Total: $55-$120 (less likely due to size). Given Terryville's operations and customer feedback about shipping (e.g., $15 for a small part, suggesting cost-conscious shipping), LTL is more realistic for a hood. A reasonable estimate, balancing freight and parcel possibilities, is: Estimated Freight Charges: $150-$250

*DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND $10K IN REPAIRS*…read moreMy wife and I were going to the store when our 18' Toyota Tacoma stopped working, so we called AAA to tow our vehicle to the nearest shop which was unfortunately, South Green Automotive. They told us our alternator was dead, so they replaced it. Charged us a good amount of money which we thought was a little bit on the expensive side but they gave us a warranty so we had that to fall back on. At least that's what we thought... Not even six months later, and our alternator failed again which led us to think that maybe they had a defective alternator so we called back to see if we can get into the warranty that they promised us, and basically had to beg them to honor their warranty, which seemed very sketchy and just unprofessional for me. They charged us the parts plus the labor cost when a lot of shops waive the labor because of the warranty and only have the customer pay the parts. Unfortunately, this was not one of the shops. Not even three months later, and the car failed again so I decided to take matters into my own hands and change the alternator and the battery so that way they wouldn't be any failure of the charging system with both parts being brand new. That only lasted for about 2 to 3 weeks, so after being fed up with this issue, I decided to take it to the Toyota dealership which told me that the alternator connector was severed, the pins were damaged and misaligned which caused the alternator to fail. Two years, Four alternators, three batteries and $10,000 later I am now hoping that my car will be fixed tomorrow so I can finally drive it. It is a shame that AAA allows for these kind of shops to continue providing service without any sort of checks or balances, because something as simple as a connector could've been inspected and repaired. Then again, Toyota mentioned that they have only seen BAD MECHANICS sever connectors and wires. There's a reason this place less than 50 reviews.
