The temporary spare didn't allow more than about 70-ish miles on it per trip, so we found the nearest big city (Texarkana) and nearest Discount Tire, which was handily on the highway! I booked an appointment for first thing next morning to replace the busted tire, and also inspect the rest since we noticed a nail in the tread of another while rotating the wheels to put the spare on the back. They knew we had to get on our way due to the note I left plus chatting with us, and were mindful of our timeframe and got us out in 30 minutes! (Pro Tip: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, no matter what.) I can't say enough about using Discount Tire for your tire needs: they specialize in this and know what they're doing! We had bought the "certificates" on these tires last time, not really knowing it would be used, but drove away paying only $49 to certify the new tire (saving over $200) with the other nail repair, inspection, mounting and balancing for free. I can't imagine using anyone else!

Later that day I get a call saying "We only have 3 of those wheels in the warehouse and cannot get any more. Would you like to pick another?" I said no. Just cancel the order. The next day I tried to order wheels somewhere else but couldn't because Discount still hasn't cancelled the order and issued me a refund. I called customer service and got no where with them either. Don't go to one of these places if you expect anything that resembles service.

We had been experiencing a recurring issue with the spark plugs in our old 2003 Mazda, and this was the third mechanic we'd been to with the problem. The nice gentlemen at Wilsons realized that an earlier mechanic had somehow left out a washer when putting in the spark plugs, solving our problem quickly, easily, and cheaply. The whole thing took 2 hours, and they recommended we grab a few extra plugs at AutoZone in case we needed to change the plugs again on the way home. I was really, really impressed with their service and I would strongly recommend this place.

I stated "I needed my tires rotated as requested when I scheduled service in the app." I was told to call next time before scheduling service in the app because the dealership is not equipped to rotate tires on a Dually. I asked if they sold these types of trucks here. He said "yes we have one right now." I said "if you sell them you should be able to provide the GMC recommended service." He then went into telling me how tires are rotated on a dually. I said "I am aware how tires are rotated on a dually. I have owned four of them." He then proceeded to let me know he could not do the service most people go to a heavy duty tire shop place to have it done. If you can't perform recommended service on a certain GMC vehicle model you should not be able to sell and make commission off that type of vehicle!

Without any real knowledge of the area or where to get the car repaired we ended up at Shelby's Service Center. This is around 3pm and they figured out that the ac compressor was causing the engine to shake uncontrollably till it felt like it was about to stall. They told me they could stop the shaking but we'd be without A/c the rest of the trip. I they gave a quote for the repair and and said they would get us back on the roads. The first 2 compressors they installed didn't work properly so the owner drove and Personally picked up the last compressor for our car they knew of in the city. Long story short we had a rough afternoon but somehow we landed at a place that valued our business and were very friendly. They stayed 2 hours after hours just to get us back on the road and if I had more ways to thank them I would. This was the best experience I've ever had with any auto shop and if you live in Texarkana or are passing through you should 100% make this your trusted service shop.
