They informed me the vehicle I wanted was at this location but did not want to help me get it so I drove 81 miles from Cleveland to get what I wanted. Missy was beyond helpful and was not a pushy salesperson. She was amazing. We called ahead saying we were coming and she had it out front waiting. After I got there, as soon as I said let's do this, she had it in the back getting gases up and detailed. She went over and above taking pictures of my programmed radio channels and even took a picture of me with my new car. I also enjoyed our conversation while going through the process. Travis in financial was also a great help. I never saw someone go process everything so quickly. She was very pleasant and helped me through the process We also had great conversations. Before I left they set up my phone and showed me all the features of the car. This is not your typical dealership. They treat you like great friends that they've known for years. This was the best experience I could ask for. I only wish this location wasn't so far because I feel I could trust them to work on my car and not have to worry. First let me start with this...I have had several vehicles over the past 15 years--most of which…read morehave been "used" and it is reasonable to expect that wear and tear happens. 10 year old cars are going to have issues. With this in mind, I have tried to be trusting and loyal to a particular, major auto repair shop in the area. I come from a small town--you know who to trust and who will do right by you. Youngstown isn't a "small town," at least not where I come from. It is difficult to know who to trust here. When you own an old vehicle, are on a budget and still realize that there is a need to leave room for car repairs--it means a lot to be able to trust people with your car. When you go to a large, commercial shop hoping that loyalty might mean something and excuse you from being taken advantage of, especially as a female--you hope that you can rely on these men to be straight with you. Not jerk you around because they can and because you have a balance on the charge card you felt blessed to have to cover extraordinary charges that come along with owning an old vehicle. FYI, ladies: Don't trust everywhere you go. These guys at Pep Boys have been kind, understanding, accommodating and empathetic. They haven't neglected to help me and shoot me straight. For that, I am grateful to these guys. I'm done with Midas seriously don't even care about any "warranties" on work I have had there. They have done me wrong too many times and I'm not spending another minute in that disgusting waiting room. Thanks to Adam, Eric and any others at Pep Boys for helping me when I've needed it most. I am still in shock! A couple weeks ago I purchased about…read more$350 in parts from our local Boardman Ohio AUTO ZONE store when our '07 Ford Edge had an engine error code that indicated that the #1 cylinders ignition coil has failed. I purchased all 6 new coils and plugs, as recommended by the sales rep, but once installed I noticed the car was still having the same issue as before. After some research on the internet, I found that our year Ford Edge is notorious for having the coils failing which in turn, also, fry's the PCM. I went back to Auto Zone for a re-built PCM at that point, but they were unable to contact their vendor that re-builds the Ford brain's, and had to steer me elsewhere. Here is where the problem comes in, the companies that do re-build PCM's on our year Ford, will only give a warranty on them if you purchase the coils and plugs from them as well. This left me with the $350 in "Electronic" parts that I could not use. I told my wife, we can try to return them, but usually part store will not refund money on electrical part. Now, here is why I am still in SHOCK... When I went in to Auto Zone and explained the situation to the sales clerk and then asked if I could return the coils and plugs...he did! ...he refunded my credit card with no questions asked. That was AWESOME customer service! I was fully expecting to have to eat the $350, and vowel to never shop there again, but because they were so understanding and helpful, I actually found a new lifetime parts supplier! All 3 of our vehicles have over 100k miles, so even though this transaction may not be ideal for them today....I'll be back for sure! My thanks go to Auto Zone for doing the right thing in this situation. During the course of this not-so-pleasant Ford adventure, I dealt with 5 different Auto Zone sales guys including a manager. The Chevy dealership recommended them bc they didnt work on foreign diesel cars. So this shop took us right in and started investigating how to fix my problem quickly. They located a part for me which was a problem all in itself, got it ordered and installed. They offered me a loaner car so I wasn't stuck at the shop all day and gave me a recommendation of where we could go to relax for a while. Just great service! Only one down side was that in the rush to get a stranded mom out of there (I begged to get this done asap) something happened to my oil level sensor. They had thought that it was possibly wet and it would stop giving me a problem but unfortunately while I was at my final destination it just completely stopped reading my levels. They had told me that I had an oil leak so that caused a concern for me to drive the vehicle bk home with no sensor to read the oil. They offered for me to stop on the way back but I would have been passing through after they closed on a Sat. So I had to have it fixed at a location where I was. Armando's hourly rate was quite high but I really didn't have much of a choice and I was assured I was in good hands so that made it sting a bit less. But when I had to get that sensor fixed because the clip got messed up during the alternator fix it was definitely frustrating. I do wish they would have looked at it better before I left but they had done so much for me already and it was past closing time he said. All in all I would go to them again. They were extremely kind, knowledgeable and empathetic. I'm sure if I wasn't stranded and they had more time I wouldn't have had a problem with the oil sensor. Just sucked having to pay to get that fixed also. I'm sure you will be happy with their service if you needed.
