The car was riding less than desirable, so I went back to exchange them for the correct size. They tried to charge me for installation AGAIN, and instead of prorating the extended warranty I already purchased, they tried to charge me for a second one. I finally got the correct size tires, but they were shaking worse than the first set! I took it back the next day for them to rebalance. The salesman asked if I went to get them balanced somewhere else after I left last night. That question was so idiotic that it took me a minute to register. He said there were two different sets of weights on the rim and one set wasn't theirs; he basically admitted that this was the first time they balanced my tires, even though they were supposed to be balanced at the time of purchase. Their corporate team reached out to me after I left a Google review, stating that someone would contact me within two business days. It has been four days, and I still have heard nothing. Response to comment. That's fascinating, because I didn't have any missed calls from that location. Maybe that's the philosophy of that location? Claiming work that wasn't performed? Cody's offered to refund the difference when I reached out to ask for the GM yesterday. I suggested that he have someone come to the Ford dealership to pick up the tires for a full refund; I no longer have faith in your company's work and would rather get new tires from a more reputable business. The fact that the newly purchased tires weren't balanced at all--not just once, but twice--is more than a little unsettling. Whether it was oversight or cutting corners, it put my safety at risk while driving.

I searched for the closest shop and found Virginia Automotive Service--and I'm so grateful I did. AAA towed my car there, and when I called, they were upfront that they weren't sure if they could fit me in. Despite that, they made it happen and took care of my car the same day. That alone meant the world to me. I was a little embarrassed because my car was a mess--I had breakfast, snacks, and things scattered everywhere--but not once did they make me feel uncomfortable about it. They were kind, professional, and completely understanding. What really stood out was their communication. They kept me updated throughout the entire day, explaining everything they found and even sending pictures so I could clearly see what was going on. That level of transparency and care is rare. The service was truly outstanding, and they turned a really overwhelming, emotional day into something manageable. I would absolutely go out of my way to return to them for future car service. I was pleasantly surprised and I have to say my favorite part was the email we got with every service they believed would be required with pictures evidence etc. Pictures of the tire that need an alignment. Air filter, normal maintenance that was coming up. The rear windshield wiper need to be replaced because my future wife has stickers on the back window. All in all I liked the transparency. Although. Price of the oil change and the type of oil was never asked. All I was asked was for the key and where is was parked. I did find a coupon on there web site. 60 bucks full synthetic oil change,filter and some get ready for summer stuff. This car was guaranteed to be up to date on oil changes and services and had supposedly been thoroughly checked before purchase. I ended up having to keep bringing it back, with each time the issue being claimed to have been fixed. The fourth time it appeared to actually finally be. I consistently have to add oil to my car like every two weeks and there's no leak according to the dealership. I took my car back to the dealership a few days ago for an oil change, a state inspection, and one of my tires what almost flat. Had to leave overnight and the lady at the desk very rudely told me to fill out the drop box paper. I asked where the drop box was and she simply gestured and said "that way" with no clear instruction. I repeated "where?" And again just "that way". Okay so now I drive around the building and fill out the little form explaining what I need done the next day and drop it off. The next day comes and the guy, Chad, doesn't even act like he read the sheet. He was like "I didn't see anything about tires" and I had written out what was going on. I even wondered if they were mixing up my car with someone else's. I went in when it was done and the lady at the cash register was really rude and acted like she hated her job. On top of that they tried to sell me work that I had just gotten done so it was obvious they hadn't even checked those things and we're just trying to get over $400 out of me on a $23 part that I had just gotten replaced. I don't know what's going on in this place, but I wouldn't recommend going here or getting any kind of service done.

After dropping off my vehicle, I received a call from the service advisor the next day. He told me the recall-related system update had been completed and that the SOS error was resolved as a result of the update--implying that no further work was needed. Great, or so I thought. When I picked up my vehicle, I was shocked to see a $250 charge on my bill for an "SOS system diagnostic." I questioned this, especially since the advisor had explicitly told me over the phone that the issue had been resolved by the recall update. His story changed immediately. He now claimed they did the diagnostic before performing the update--something he absolutely did not mention on the phone. Then he backtracked again, saying they had to be cautious and do the diagnostic first in case the update caused further issues. That's not only contradictory--it makes no sense. I told him again: the update fixed the issue, you said no additional action was needed, and I was never told about any charge. His final excuse? "Well, the tech has to be paid for his time." That's not how recall work operates. By federal law, recall repairs must be provided free of charge on cars up to 15 years old. My car is only 8. I was never informed there would be a charge, never given a chance to approve or decline it, and the issue resolved itself with the recall update. Charging $250 for something that didn't need diagnosing--after telling me it was already fixed--is dishonest and unacceptable. This experience was incredibly disappointing. The lack of transparency and shifting explanations from the service advisor made it clear that customer trust and fair pricing are not priorities here. I expected better from Jaguar. I won't be returning to this service center again, and I urge others to get everything in writing before agreeing to anything here.

Let me start by saying I love my Range Rover, but I'll never take it to Land Rover Richmond…read more(Midlothian) again. Recently, I brought my truck in because the horn stopped working. Very important to fix... but I felt bad bringing it in for something so small, so I asked them to change the spark plugs at the same time so they could make a few bucks. $500 to change the spark plugs. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with the horn and charged me to replace the horns with new OEMs. Still didn't work, so they gave up. WHAT?!? They mentioned "because your car is more than 10 years old, we can't warrantee any of the work we do". WTF?!? So a place that's supposed to be filled with Range Rover experts doesn't have any Range Rover experts on site? Story gets worse. They called me and said they spotted a coolant leak. Mind you, I saw ZERO evidence of a coolant leak where we park. Never a single leak in years. But, I paid them $1500 anyway to change a coolant line (highway robbery) as a precaution. A few days later, my 16-yo daughter got stranded due to overheating! In essence, I paid Land Rover $1500 to give me a dangerous problem I didn't already have. I never should have let these ppl touch my car. I got the repairs needed elsewhere at a reputable shop with real mechanics and had to laugh at how unskilled the mechanics at Land Rover must be these days. What a shame. In my experience, Land Rover Richmond is filled with "worky tickets" who pad your bill with unnecessary work while causing problems you didn't have so they can maximize profit. Guess it doesn't matter to Land Rover Richmond if they endanger their drivers. Shame on them.
