I went to Advance Auto on Belmont Avenue (before the store opened) and the General Manager Rob Rudolph was able to replace my battery (a difficult path to replace the battery) within 10-15 minutes. He even gave me the best price the store had. I'll send all my car business to Advance - - their general manager Rob rocks.

I was happy with the Lid until I discovered it was leaking at the front of the Lid where the front gasket is attached to the Lid. I called them and they said for me to bring it in which I did. I explained to them that the water was coming in between the seal and the lid. I left the truck and they called me 2-1/2 hours later and said the truck was done. They told me everything was good to go. After I looked at the lid when I got home I couldn't see anything that they had done but I took them at their word. Well the next big rain We had I saw that the leak was still there. I then took a video of the leak. I called them again and explained again about the leak and told them I had a video of the leak. I talked to Tom the installer. He told me "great that would help tremendously. I made an appointment to get the leak fixed AGAIN. When I went back I talked to the owner and showed him the video. He started telling me there was nothing he could do but to send the entire lid back to Leer which I found unacceptable. He told me about the only thing they could do was to put some silicone caulking across the seal. When Tom the installer brought the truck around I looked where they were supposed to put the caulking and the only placed they caulked was the pop rivet heads. I asked Tom why he didn't caulk all the way across the seal, he said "there's tape behind the seal". I said I know that's exactly where it's leaking at. He said I don't know then. I said Never mind, I'll fix it myself. MY ADVISE TO ANYONE READING THIS REVIEW IS TO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM VALLEY TRUCK OUTFITTERS! THEY WOULD'NT TAKE CARE OF A WARRANTED PRODUCT THAT THEY SELL UNLESS THEY SEND IT BACK TO THE FACTORY WHERE IT CAME FROM WHICH THE OWNER SAID WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME. SO AFTER FOUR TRIPS FROM NILES TO POLAND I STILL HAVE A LEAK.

And they'd even scheduled my repairs within a week of my initial visit to have them look it over. I seriously dreaded the repair bill because of the special fabrication work involved; however, their fee was surprisingly reasonable (especially in light of all that extra labor). You can't ask for much more than that. As auto repairs go, this was actually a pleasant experience. I won't hesitate to call them again when I need additional work done.

He quoted a very reasonable price to ship the item, and promised to pull and ship the part the next day, as it was very close to the end of the day. This clarity as to what they would do, and when they would do it, followed the whole transaction. I called again to make sure that the pull went well. As every time I called, they gave me the full story in about one minute's time. I called again after they had shipped, and they promptly reported the UPS tracking number. They pulled the part Monday.
