I was not asking them to replace my battery or perform any major work. During the battery testing process, part of my battery/connection was damaged. When I brought the issue to their attention, the staff and manager did not want to take responsibility or even acknowledge that they may have caused the damage. Even worse, the manager directly accused me of lying about the situation and what had happened to my vehicle. I found that extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Instead of trying to inspect the problem and help resolve it, I was essentially told to stay out of the store and contact corporate. What started as a simple request to test my battery turned into a much bigger problem. My vehicle ended up with absolutely no power -- no lights, no electronics, and I couldn't even lock the car. I did exactly what I was told and contacted corporate, but unfortunately they were not much help either. I was basically told that they could address the one cable that was damaged, but that the rest of the problem was my responsibility. That is extremely frustrating considering I came into the store for a simple battery test and left with a much bigger issue. I understand that mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a business handles them. Instead of taking the situation seriously, investigating what happened, and working with me toward a solution, I was accused of lying, told to stay out of the store, and then sent to corporate. Corporate ultimately did not provide a solution for the full problem either. Very poor customer service from both the store and corporate. I came in for a simple battery test and ended up dealing with a damaged connection, a vehicle with no power, being accused of lying, and being left responsible for the rest of the problem. This was an extremely frustrating experience.

They could have very easily pulled a fast one on me since I was sure of the problem, but didnt. Great shop. Thank you (also shame to the two people that posted the same bad review for a small business- I went to the woman's profile and Shes Yelp friends with the man who also posted a bad review about their phone experience and not the quality of work. When they called to let us know it was ready he had told us about an issue they had found. We were referred to another place as they were to busy to take on our job. We had went to the ring and pinion shop and spoke to the owner there. We told him we were recommended by the other place. He took his time with us explained what needs to be done. These guys said they where all full of bull, they put on an after market without removing the old saving me $700. Another time the owner came to my home to listen to the engine noise as I was afraid to drive it. Now, the owner has been in business longer then many of his customers have been alive and to be fair can be a bit grumpy. Get past his outer layer and he has a deep traditional care for his customers and a passion for vehicles, especially classics. A+++++ -Gerry
