This last time had an done oil change only bc I needed it done quick for an put of state trip. Long story short, the my car was unusually running through oil. Wal-Mart did not place the O ring to the filter's casing. And they stripped out my drain bolt. This was a full synthetic oil change with a performance filter. Over $80. Because the lube guy was inexperienced I had to redo my $80 oil change and replace the bolt. Thanks for stealing my money.

I had a slow tire leak that the repair shop could not find the day before Thanksgiving. It was…read moreholding then, but was flat the next day. I researched it, and found it was probably a tire core. Well, all the repair shops were closed, but O'Reilly's was open. I pumped up the tire, drove and got the parts and tool. I was able to change out the core and make it to Thanksgiving dinner in Columbus. Kudos to being open. This is my favorite auto parts store every day of the year.

Our daughter, who was familiar with the Athens area (she graduated from Ohio U.) told me about Sundown Garage. We quickly got a hotel room ( it was Father's Day' so not much was open). I called and left a message (they didn't open until 9M on Monday) and I called again the next morning. I was able to get the car down to them and spoke with Danny and Will. Will drive me back to our hotel, stopping at a grocery store on the way back to our hotel so we would have some food. The next day he picked me up and drove me down to Athens to pick up my car. This is the kind of service you hope for in our country, but is so rare. I thought the cost of the repairs was more than reasonable. I have always liked Athens (I grew up in Youngstown, but moved 8 times with my jobs) and if I was beginning retirement I might consider moving here, but I am almost 78. Do not buy a vehicle from this dealer unless you buy it with a warranty. My son spent $19,000 on a…read moretruck and when he got it home it was pouring oil from the oil pan. The dealer told him to take it to a mechanic (dealers nephew) where it would not shift into gear and eventually would not start. The truck was then towed to C&C where they found the wiring harness was cut up and taped back together with electrical tape along with axle problems. The dealer said "too bad" you bought it as is.
