No pressure to do any extra work, and when I asked to replace some hoses and thermostat, it was no problem at all on top of an already labor-intensive job. Personable, knowledgeable, and a friendly place to take your vehicle. A rare thing to find these days. If you're worried about a mechanic ripping you off, don't. They'll give it to you straight. A great place to have work done. Will be taking future work there, no questions asked.

Our son was in an accident; a tree fell in front of him driving home from work late at night…read more Cheatwood was the tow service on call that night and called out by the State troopers. The trooper told my husband to go ahead and leave while I went with our son in the ambulance to get him checked out, that Cheatwood wouldn't take the car to our son's house, but would tow it to their lot. This was around 1 in the morning. They towed the car to their lot and didn't bother to call us any on the Thursday. We called on Friday, and were told that we could pick the car up before 5 pm, but if it stayed longer, there would be a $50 a day storage charge. We rented a trailer and went to pick up our Miata. When we got there, we were told the bill was over $400--$100 for two days of storage and $325 for the towing! That's nothing less than highway robbery. I've had my Class 8 tractor towed farther for less than that! We will NEVER use them again. If we have another incident of any sort and are told they are the ones on rotation, we will decline their services. And, we are telling all our friends about this and encouraging them not to use this company, either.

The text road chat said Spears Company would assist me. It would be approximately 90 minutes before they could get to me. A gentleman whose name was Johnathon called me almost immediately. Almost as if I were supposed to respond about his accidental fast. It's hot and I need my tire changed. I do not care that you have mismanaged your time and haven't had anything to eat. He got there twenty minutes later after telling me to be safe. He never was cross with me but he was a bit pushy. I need your expertise sir. I am sorry that my tire inconvenienced you. If I were to ever have a roadside need again I hope they don't use this company. My experience was very strained and I do not recommend.

The sale went great, the salesman was knowledgeable, the financing was easy and they gave us a great price. Delivery was not so great as the coach was not clean at all, the walk through was abysmal and they couldn't even fix any of the problems at delivery. Not a big deal, as we have been in that same situation many times before (this is our 6th new motorhome) and took care of the repairs through the manufacturer. If you are thinking about purchasing any RV, shop only based on price and plan on taking it to the manufacturer for service, because all dealers will sell you a lie when it comes to service! Driving from Florida, we were about an hour away from our destination. Searching through the internet for 24-hour roadside assistance, I reached the Heflin Texaco. A young woman answered the phone, I explained the issue and she told me the driver was out on a call and either he or she would call me back soon with any updates. And, soon they did. The owner himself drove out to find us. He put our truck on the back of the tow truck, drove us to a hotel in Heflin and told us he would work us in the next morning. He had us in right away, told us there was a part needed about 40 minutes away and that he would go get it himself. Long story cut back a bit. He retrieved the part, his mechanic worked on it and we were back on the road, just a few hours later. Talking with my mechanic back home, in Indiana, he gave me his price for the repair, which was right on the mark with Mr. Cheatwood's. I don't think we could have ever found any better place to have done business. It was obvious they were sincere in wanting to help us and help us get back on the road. I pray no one the situation we were in, but if it happens to you, I hope you are close enough to call Cheatwood's Texaco in Heflin, they will take great care of you. Thank you Cheatwood's Texaco, Matt Oh, and I recommend the Mexican restaurant next to the only hotel in Heflin, just off I-20 in Heflin. Recommended to us my Mr. Cheatwood's. June 7, 2022
