I priced around and they were in the ball park. my concerned was that I paid for full frontal paint protection film and there were a few small pieces that were not fully covered. I called during the day yesterday to get a quote for wrapping the mirror caps on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. In addition to me currently having them off the car ready for wrap, they are pretty small and not alot of complex curves or anything. The guy on the phone didn't seem to care, and told me it would be 300 DOLLARS JUST TO WRAP BOTH MIRRORS in gloss black.... are you freaking kidding me? I can have them painted color matched to my car for way cheaper than that. Other reputable vinyl places quoted me under 80 after I called these guys. Id recommend staying away from these guys, they're prices are very high and they didn't at all seem to care about my business. I hope that changes in the future because if they gave me a fair price and good service I would have had many other things wrapped as well. read more

Drove to Cerritos today to get all the windows on my sedan tinted; or so I thought. Scott and I had talked over the phone and agreed upon a price that was competitive with other shops. I had found much lower pricing (almost half the price) from a mobile tint business in Carson, but unfortunately they were booked up for two weeks solid - please look them up, the pricing difference is unbelievable and they too are a certified 3M dealer. After a 25 mile, 30 minute drive, I arrive on time for my appointment. Once I arrived, I asked to see the samples of the 3M Color Stable. Scott was great up to this point. However, once I decided on the CS5 (limo tint) for the back windows and CS20 for the front windows, he tried to charge me more than what we had already agreed upon. He stated that the CS5 was more expensive. According to 3Ms website, all tints in the Color Stable line are the same material and I do not comprehend how the installation procedure and labor would differ justifying a difference in price. The higher pricing for the CS5 would have been vital information and would have influenced my decision from the beginning. This would have saved me an hour of my day and 50 miles on my vehicle. In my opinion, the best course of action for the business would have been to cut me a break on the price and maintain two hours of work for its shop. Instead, Scott opted to completely waste my time and not budge at all on his pricing. Highly unprofessional. Please disclose all information to customers next time prior to committing yourself and wasting their time. read more

They SCRATCHED my window!!! I brought in my brand new SMART yesterday for tint. But this morning, I saw a 4" scratch outside of the driver's window. My husband brought the car in and was told that they did not do it. Scott (the owner) gave my husband a bunch of BS excuses: the scratch must've come from the dealership where they put the sale sticker on, He also said that he did see the scratch yesterday when they were working on the tinting. OK, first of all, my car is brand spanking new (1.5 weeks old with only 8 miles). When I bought the car that day, the sticker was not even taped on any of the windows. I even hand washed the car last Saturday and there were not one single scratch on the windows. Second, which dumb ass delearship would put their sticker on the driver's side window. Wouldn't this obtruct the view of anyone test driving it? Lastly, they claimed they saw the scratch already when they were working on my car, why didn't they call me right away or tell me when I picked up my car? DON'T GO THERE!!! They are UNPROFESSIONAL when it's time to face their own mistakes. read more

I got my Audi TT tinted today with 3M ceramic tint. I tinted all windows, including the windshield. Scott is a really nice and down-to-earth owner. He does excellent work and his rates are low. There were 2 options for 3M window tint: 3M ceramic and 3M Color Stable Series. For those who want to see a visual of the tint darkness and color shades, here is the 3M website link I went to before going to the shop http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Window_Film/Solutions/Markets-Products/Automotive/ The website also provide specs on their tints, including shading coeffient, heat reduction, etc. As far as the darkness of the tint, Scott showed me his own car, which had light 53% VTL tint on the windshield and dark 36% VTL tint on the rest of the car. Seeing the tint on his car helped me decide on how dark to tint my own windows. I also saw sample for Sunguard (more brownish color), but I'm not sure if this film is usually stocked. I choose the more expensive 3M Ceramic film, which blocks out 43% heat (the 3M Color Stable only blocks out 27% heat). Ceramic is supposed to block out as much heat as metallic without the GPS and radio interference (more on this below).I paid around $350 to have all my windows (including the windshield) tinted with 3M Ceramic tint. Had I choosen the regular 3M Color Stable non-ceramic tint, the quote would have been $220 (including the windshield). As I drove my newly tinted car home, I immediately noted that the car was much cooler (in looks and temperature). The only downside is that I immediately noted a significant difference in my cell phone and GPS reception, and ceramic tint is not supposed to interfere with GPS signal. The tint took almost 4 hrs from the time I showed up for my appointment, but that was partly because I had exisiting tint on my window that needed to be removed. I highly recommend this place. Scott does great work and his rates are $100 lower than his competitors. Just be sure to bring something to read, as the wait can be quite long. There is a waiting area, however it is not air conditioned and can get warm. There is a Starbucks 2 blocks away and Scott dropped me off there to wait. read more

Just got my Clear bra installed by Scott on my new car. I got a quote with Scott 2 days earlier and scheduled to install on Saturday 9am. This is my 2nd bra, 1st one by Scott. I like to protect my car to the extreme. I got my front bumper, partial hood, partial fenders, side mirrors, door handle cups, door step sills and full custom rear bumper. He did a way better job than my previous installer. He cares about the details of his workmanship and knowledgeable in what he does. If you are deciding to get a clear bra, search no further. I got a clear bra installed on the front end of my new vehicle, along with window tint throughout my entire car. The quality of their product as well as their workmanship is second to none. Make sure to call and set up an appointment. The shop itself was just like any other shop. Although, I would suggest possibly putting some sort of vending machine for the customers. The closest convenience store or gas station is not walking distance. Expect to wait upwards of 2-3 hours (depending on the type of work being performed). Upon seeing my neighbor's accord tinted, I realized that I needed to tint mine as well, and it was summer time. So I made a call to Scott, the owner, and he set up a time. *FYI, they are no longer in Alhambra, but out by knott's off the 91. JUST SAYING. It's a new location and they had just moved there when I got my car done. Anywho, I arrived a 9:30 after getting a bit lost and he started to work on it right away. In total, it took about 3 hours to get everything done. Go out somewhere to kill time but the closest thing isn't for a good mile or so. I went to AAE because of Yelp and I'm glad I did. Scott is a super cool guy and did a great job on my brand new Audi. I had it installed on the 113 degree day so it took a little longer than promised (almost 4 hours) but there was no AC in the shop so I commend him for doing it. He even took and picked me up from Starbucks so I would'nt have to wait in the heat. Quality of work and material is great (3M) and he threw in the lights/side mirrors for materials cost only. Overall a good deal, and he did it the same day I called since I was going on a roadtrip the next day. The clear bra saved my front end after seeing what kind of crap gets on there when I got back. Scott installed clear bra on my '10 Camaro over a year ago (12/2009) and I couldn't be happier with the results. The pricing was reasonable for the workmanship involved. I was so happy with his work that I trusted him to install my factory rally stripes versus having the Chevrolet dealer install them. And the stripes came out fantastic as well. The only other place I'd consider to install clear bra is Premier in Orange (worth it if you can justify $2k for clear bra) but Scott cannot be beat for the pricepoint. If/when I need to have windows tinted, I won't hesitate to go back. There are lots of shops in SoCal and Scott has the kind of service we all should demand. Advance Auto Engineering installed paint protection Clear Bra on a second car ('13 Accord Sport, first was a '04 TL Type S) and it came out perfect, nearly invisible to my eyes -- I had to feel for the edges to know that it was there. They even cleaned up some of my Plast-dip over spray in a few corners that I was unaware of. Scott was great, never trying to persuade me into different protection but suggested Xpel instead of 3M because of the film yellowing on a white car five years down the line. The facility was very clean and even had movies to watch while I waited -- which was shorter than the quoted time frame of install. I brought my car here to remove my old tints and install new tints. Might I also mention I'm not a car person so I'm no expert on this car detailing stuff. I would give 4.5 stars but here's why I docked off half a star. They did a good, not great job with my tinting. There's a few windows that have small air bubbles that I notice from the outside, but not too apparent. Scott the manager or owner did mention when I picked up my car that the old tint was flaking off as they removed it. So I will give them that for doing the job that they did do. Definite pro about coming here is getting the life time warranty for the tints since they use 3M. So if my tints do bubble or change color I can bring it to any shop that is a 3M retailer to have them redone. He gave me the warranty tag/slip for that. After we picked up our Model 3, the first thing we did was get PPF and tint. My friend recommended Advance Auto Engineering, after he had a good experience with them for his own Tesla. Advance Auto has very competitive pricing and the service was top notch. I made an appointment, dropped off the car first thing in the morning, and was told that I would be able to pick it up at the end of the day. Because it was such a big job, they actually stayed an hour past closing to finish up the work on my car, but I appreciated that they didn't rush the work just to close on time. The tint and PPF jobs were both flawless; this was the first time I've gotten tint installed on any car where there weren't any air bubbles, hair or lint trapped. The owner also carefully explained what I needed to do to maintain the PPF and the warranty information. I was in a car accident and ended up having to purchase a new car. I bit the bullet and bought a 2013 Honda Accord. Now I needed the tint. A friend at work found Scott Kim on Yelp and as she just purchased a new car, we went to check out his shop and ended up both going there and one other person from work also. I was comfortable and felt like he knew his stuff. I even showed him a picture of my Civic and he was able to tell me the % tint I had on it. He was honest about the differences in tint and his prices very fair. Anytime I called he was professional and great to talk to. I was in love with my tint from the beginning. However, as the days went by, I noticed that on the driver's window had some dust under the tint. He happily replaced it. I was extremely happy and realized that I didn't tip him the first time so did so this time. I get many compliments on my tint and have recommended him to others. I would gladly do so again. I took in my Chevy Equinox to get tint on 7 windows. They did a great job and were very punctual. They said 2 hours and that's how long it took. I brought my Chevy Cruze last year for tint and it still looks as good as the day it was put on. Great lifetime warranty.
