I have really enjoyed having my accounts at UW for the last 7 years and am even a little sad to go (they treated me really well and have a phenomenal staff) but in the past 6 weeks, Summit Credit Union has completely won my family over! As of this week, we now have our mortgage, our personal loan, our checking and our savings accounts through Summit. They have bent over backwards to help us achieve every goal that we wanted and needed to make in order to feel financially secure, and completely went out of their way to help us save money where ever they could for no reason other than to help us and make us happy! By refinancing our mortgage and getting our personal loan through Summit, we literally saved $4,000+ cash this month that we wouldn't have seen a penny of had we gone though any one of the other 6 banks/credit unions that we were shopping around with. Not only that but we will be saving nearly $250 a month, every month for the next 30 years. We live in Janesville and we never had to make a single trip to Madison to sign a thing. Instead Summit sent a loan officer to our home twice at our convenience to take care of everything. Every representative that we've had the pleasure of working with has come across as very professional while at the same time extremely personable and likable (I've noticed Credit Unions in general tend to have a great balance when it comes to taking care of their customers in a personable, yet professional way that federal banks can't quite seem to match). I'm still wowed over how well Summit has treated us and I want everyone to know how much they obviously value their customers. My daughter and I had to go into Madison today anyway so after running our errands and before going to get ice cream @ Ellas', I stop here as it says free money orders. Free is good, but, as we all know nothing is free and everything comes at a price. Scene 1: Here we are, my daughter and I enter and stand in line. We are greeted with a line, a woman who looks like she got up out of bed and came in to cash her check talking about some REALLY personal info on her cell phone with crust in her eyes, and only 2 workers working. 10 available windows. 2 on duty workers. Okay, moving on... Scene 2: 3rd guy in line has an annoying ring tone (y'all don't hear me - I said ANNOYING) of a song that made me stop listening to certain stations (because as Sagat sang "Funk Dat") "hearing the same 5 songs 15 times a day, for three months..." I mean seriously, you're in a place of (what looks like) business having your phone and text ringers going off all over the line like roaches after a nuclear explosion. Learn three words buddy: "Vibrate" and "Silent Mode" Scene 3: Another worker comes in and asks to be buzzed in. She gets to her station and yells, "anyone who only needs a money order? Money Order only?" The rolling of the eyes, and the sucking of the teeth begin and grow loud, I look around to see if anyone ahead of me moves. They don't. Let's hit it, I hop through the bars and approach the counter get my money order and we bounce. Climax: While waiting in line I observed my surroundings. So, I've got some suggestions. It looks like this place could have a lot going; money orders, sending/receiving money/check cashing/paying bills, etc. I'm wondering since I see these all over the place in a lot of cities if certain windows should handle certain business. * Sigh * I say to you Yelpers, I will NEVER run out of personal checks EVER again. The check was a personal one for $80, the name on the check is of course euro since my sister prefers "cream in her coffee". i got up earlier than usual so i went to pls. They not only wanted overinflate fees. I was told, "its a handwritten check where did u get this check?" I replied its not bad.The woman owns a spa, My sister gave it to me. No shit! I only came here to defer a waiting period at my bank. Im not stealing or robbing a bank. Why treat everyone one east washington like a criminial. When she went to a different window to with the check and called chase bank. Then she proceeded to call the lady on the check who happens to be my sister and rudely asking if she wrote the check to me. I know i look homey, but dang. I use to work before becoming disabled. I am a citizen. I did present a drivers license. I am beautiful and black. How can u treat me like this and then finally ask if i want any other service, from u hell no.

Their friendly staff have always been outgoing and courteous. When I made my account it was a hot day, and they provided me with two sparkling waters. Also free cookies every time I went to make a deposit was fantastic.

After the transaction. I saw that I loose $19,500.00 out of my account. I ordered the transaction but I made no funds available for the transaction. And I was not asked by the banker prior to wiring $19,500.00 out of my checking account if I made the funds available in checking account to be wired to a scammer. After talking to the bank about my $19,500.00 the banker Defence was I ordered it. I did pay him $199.00 on my associated debit card. few days later he called me and told me that he no longer have that software available he when into my Park Bank account during the installation, he saw $23,00.00 in Bank account he called me told me that he no longer have that software protection available for me. He is going to refund my $199.00 that I paid him. He told me toke me to my Park Bank account on the computer and told me to enter the account of $200.00 for a refund I entered the amount of $200.00 he has a program that he used came down to move $20,000.0 from my Park Bank saving account to check account. He told me that he sent money to my park Bank account that was over refunded . I should go to park Bank and wire him $19,500.00 and keep $500.00 for myself for my refund. I when to park Bank I told the Bank to send him his over payment of $19,500.00 back to him. I make no fund transfer from my saving to checking. Park Bank employee that processed the transaction never asked me before wiring the $19,500.00 out of my account if I made $19, 500.00 available in my checking account to be wired. She wired $19,500.00 out of account with out asking me if I made that amount available to be wired. The next day I find out that I lost $19,500.00 out of my account I talked to her about it she said she will reverse it, never been verse since October 12, 2022. We are now in court for my money. I asked if they had a loan offer for me, because there is no reason to go in if I didn't have a loan. They said they did, so I made an appointment, had to cancel because my mother fell and I had to go take care of her and before I could reschedule my appointment they sent me an email stating that they had no loans for me. So, they lied. They never had a loan for me in the first place. Now, I'm trying to delete my account and they won't let me do that. Truly a shitty company.
