All phone attempts at contact are met with an automated response claiming they're experiencing 'technical difficulties' before being hung-up on. Can't even leave a callback number. It's actually hilarious how unprofessional this is. But wanna know which services actually still function at this company? Take a wild guess... Their billing department's still up and running. They're still able to withdraw my money as my monthly premium was just paid. You can really tell where your money goes with this crap insurance firm, and it's not towards infrastructure and customer service. We were very happy with our then insurance professional and insurance company. Because of this we had not reviewed our insurance and premiums for sometime. Because I have a little more free time of late, I reviewed our family's insurance at our last renewal, but did not think we could obtain any better or similar coverage for any substantial savings with another reputable insurer. I asked Vicki and her colleagues to see what offerings American Family had for us. I was surprised that significant savings were available with more protections, all from a local company which is a true community partner. Frankly, even if the premiums and protections could not match our then insurer, I would still give the Wagener Agency and American Family the same high marks for service and professionalism. They were friendly, prompt, thorough, and professional. That they provide all of this along with a great product at a very reasonable value is hard to turn away from. I am not sure if everyone will be able to enjoy similar savings and coverages as everyone's insurance situation is different. In fact she pointed out that she could also provide me with insurance for my small business and it couldn't have been easier and now I'm fully covered. They are threatening to drop the coverage on my rental properties because they ordered that the tenants maintain a cleaner standard inside of their apartments. I have ZERO control over that! I was hit by an insured driver last December. He was ticketed as being 100% at fault. West Bend decided not to go after their insurance, because "that wouldn't be a polite thing to do". The attorney pressing this case for West Bend isn't even trying to recover my $1000 deductible that I had to pay when my car was repaired. They now sent me a non-renewal letter due to the fact that the accident in December cost them several thousand dollars. So because they don't do their jobs, they are dropping me! And they are not trying at all to recover my $1000 deductible. Avoid West Bend Mutual Insurance! Get your insurance from anywhere else!
