It is DIY, as far as unloading and moving stuff to be weighed, so if you're bringing in something heavy, bring your own help. My condo…read moreassociation gets our recycling and garbage collected through them as they are the only provider in the area that does not require a property to have a single large collection container (each resident has their own "garbage can"). Our building's garbage is supposed to be collected on Mondays, but this past week (3/7/22) it was not collected (nor was the garbage collected from any of the other individual condo buildings in my area). I kind of figured they would either send an email notification or just come Tuesday. Neither of those happened and I had no choice but to take time out of my busy day to call Waste Management (this was Tuesday 3/8). The representative said there was no noted reason for the missed collection on Monday and that it would be picked up later that day or the next (Wednesday 3/9). In actuality our garbage was not picked up until Thursday 3/10. Since it was never communicated exactly when Waste Management would come, everyone in the area left their garbage out 24/7 for four days. This led to a large amount of garbage being blown around and littering our local environment. Another ongoing issue is that I get our payment statements paperless via email. Although I get my statement just fine, I also get sent a statement for another customer's account (meaning my email is also listed as this other customer's email in Waste Management's records). I've complained numerous times, but somehow I still get this other customer's statements in addition to mine. Incredibly sloppy records keeping. Lastly (since I'm on a bit of a rant) the garbage men routinely do not firmly snap/put the garbage container lids back into place. This causes the lids to often blow away. It's nice coming home from a long day at work to then go and have to search for your missing garbage lids (especially during a WI winter). To sum things up: Waste Management communicates poorly, can be unreliable with pick-up times, gives the impression that they do not care about environmental damage, and keep sloppy records. Did I mention they're fees aren't exactly cheap either? Disappointing

If you're a City of Milwaukee resident, or you have a buddy with a MKE address the facility is FREE to use. We were long time Tosa residents and were used to paying something for every trip to dump crap off (I think it is $5 per trip or something). That's a big savings if you're moving like we are and need to get rid of general junk, yard waste, cardboard, old furniture, etc. You DO have to pay if you're dumping "construction waste" - stuff like wood or drywall waste. That's $20 per load and meant to discourage small contractors from filling up the dumpsters. I get it, but it would be nice if there were some provision for the homeowner with a light load. The people that work here are really nice - they happily direct you to the right place. For a dump, it's pretty clean too, even on busy days. There are enough bays that we've never had to wait - it's a painless process overall. So if you've got a bunch of crap laying around, check this place out - hopefully you'll see me getting rid of clutter!

It was a scorcher and got a chance to get rid of a bunch of sweat and about 300 lbs of steel copper and aluminum. It's trashy with all the scrap but its organized filth what do you expect? Just take a shower when you return home. They were nice on the phone giving some of the best price quotes for scrap. The process is easy pull in give Current ID get weighed unload then drive around and get reweighed then pick up your ticket to get paid at the dock to the east a red brick building across the street. I'm glad my crap got recycled instead of filling up a land fill. And I got a few bucks for the effort.

After cutting the cord to the appliance and receiving the monetary claim for the recall, I delivered the dehumidifier to Refrigerant Depot LLC. Beforehand, I called the company to verify they would receive my appliance and asked for directions. The woman who answered my phone call was very cheery, knowledgeable and helpful. She offered a friendly and excellent voice for the company, and made me feel confident with the solution to utilize this firm. After a few more months passed by (due to a family member's death and my needing to go out of state for the summer) I took advantage of the nice fall weather, and traveled to Refrigerant Depot to drop off the Danby dehumidifier. The directions I was previously given to the place were spot on. As I drove in, I did not realize the office was located conveniently inside and in line with the drive inside the lot. After I parked, I walked in the direction of voices inside a warehouse, I believe. What appeared to be the man in charge quickly noticed me, and immediately attended to me. He dropped what he was doing to escort me to the delivery area. As I opened my vehicle's latch to take out the dehumidifier, the man, Angel, quickly lifted the appliance for me. He placed it where it was supposed to go. After I asked him if he received an increase in dehumidifier drop-offs due to the recall, Angel cheerfully showed me two huge areas full of dehumidifiers. Angel is truly an angel by providing this company as a solution for individuals like me who need a place nearby to take in appliances requiring special disposal. Angel's kindness, eagerness to help, and efficiency demonstrated a most excellent appreciation for his customers. Not only is this company available and well-run, but both of my encounters with Refrigerant Depot representatives was very pleasant and helpful.
