UPDATED & RESOLVED Updated: 09/02/25…read moreAfter leaving my google review, corporate got in touch with me to offer a full refund for everything. They were very apologetic and told me they had been in contact with the local branch. The local branch manager also reached out to me to apologize and confirm the full refund. I thought this was a generous resolution and very much appreciated it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Unacceptable Service & Communication - Forced to load their trucks for them and left with a ton of uncollected junk. We are a non-profit youth program that recently attempted to clear out four storage units worth of items. Much of it needed to be disposed of, so we hired Junk Punks MKE to help us clear out. We don't expect any person or company to be perfect, but every single minute of their service was one problem after another. Here was the series of events: 1. Late Arrival - The crew arrived 30 minutes past the scheduled time window. 2. Truck Already Full - The first truck showed up more than half full from other jobs. 3. Breakdown & 4-Hour Delay - That truck then broke down, and it was four hours before a replacement arrived. During this time, we had to repeatedly call to get updates as there was little communication from them. In all my experience with disposal and moving companies, they have procedures in place for trucks breaking down, Junk Punks clearly did not. During this time we ended up taking several loads ourselves with our own truck. 4. Second Truck, Same Problem - When they finally returned, the replacement truck was again over half full of other junk. 5. No Crew Left - By this time, the majority of the junk team had gone home for the day, leaving us to load the truck ourselves. That is labor we specifically hired Junk Punks MKE to provide. I do want to commend Meech, I assume he was the team leader, for being the only worker to return. He was apologetic, and doing his best alone -- I felt bad that the rest of the crew left him in that position. 6. Unfinished Job - The second truck quickly became full again, and because it was the end of the day they had no plans to return to collect more of it. Because of this, we were forced to rent our own U-Haul longer, incurring an additional $185 in rental costs on top of the disposal we must now complete ourselves. 7. No resolution - When I reached out to their company, they told me they would give us a total of $350 off for the inconvenience. I had felt this to be fair enough of a resolution for the experience. However, they never processed the full refund or sent additional communication. Since we ended up doing the labor for them, it would have been cheaper for us to just rent our own trucks and do everything ourselves. We do not recommend Junk Punks MKE.

They offered a larger dumpster with a slightly lower price, and had availability on just two days notice. Great! Unfortunately, that was where the good stopped. I'm being generous, giving two stars, given the way we were treated. THEY.DO.NOT.COMMUNICATE unless you specifically request it. Apparently it is not out of the ordinary for them to overbook themselves, doing upwards of 30 drop-offs/pickups in a single day to a large service area, and they believe that giving their customers a 12-hour window with no advance notice of service is reasonable. I would have to disagree. The day we were to have our dumpster picked up (four days ago), my husband and I were occupied with a medical professional offering pre-natal services (I am currently 9 months pregnant) and missed the call from the driver alerting us that he was at our home, where the dumpster was being blocked by our moving van. The driver let my husband know in a voicemail upon his second call that we had 10 minutes to respond or to be at our old home (5 minutes away) otherwise he would be leaving and we would be charged to re-schedule pickup the following day. The voicemail was left at 2:33PM. He did not leave a callback number, but my husband had several missed calls during our appointment so he just started calling them all back. He called the driver at 2:42PM, or 9 minutes later, and got no answer. The driver had already left, effectively reneging his offer of 10 minutes for response, so we were already effed. When we finally got in touch with someone, we were told that the re-scheduling charge would be $225. Unacceptable. Their driver didn't answer when we called, already frantically on our way, so we naturally felt that the rescheduling should be at no charge or at the driver's expense. I was told that because they do let you know in the contract that there will be no advance notice of drop off or pickup unless you explicitly request it, the onus was on us. After around ten minutes of fighting, they "generously" agreed to knock $100 off of the price of re-scheduling. It wasn't good enough in our view because of the driver's error, but we knew it wasn't going to get any better than that and we had to eat the charge. To sum up, they offer a great service and can be available when you need them, but they also offer little to no communication and take advantage of vulnerable customers. Do not recommend.
