Why is this business (Adriatic Dental) listed under different name and address on Yelp? Was considering this dentist based on good reviews on Google but couldn't find any reviews on Yelp. Found the bad reviews using another search engine.

I used Adriatic Dental this past summer for some extensive dental work. The office I went to is at 2345 S. Melrose Drive in Vista, CA. I was awed by the very modern equipment. I had an excellent dentist and some very good dental assistants tend…

We recently moved up north to the Vista area, and we found this office through Yelp (thanks,…read moreYelp!). Our twins have regularly visited the dentist since they were small, and we really like this dentist office--even more than their old office where we used to live. Our four-year old twins just had their second regular visit of the year, and we are all very happy with this office. The office is clean, spacious, and bright. The front office staff members are very polite and helpful when we call and check in. For the first visit, the new patient forms are online--thankfully. The dental assistants are very skilled, kind, and patient. My twins see Dr. Allen. He is very calm and kind, and he always addresses the questions my husband and I have. I think what I am most impressed with, though, is the streamlined visits and timing. In our last visit, the dental assistants called us right back and started the appointment. There was minimal waiting time for the dentist when they were done. (Their old dentist was terrible timing.) Being on time and efficient is always important, but it is even more appreciated in light of COVID. Also, my kids get super happy with the goodie bag of fun toothbrushes and toothpaste, and they particularly love the flossers--I guess those are cooler than the ones we have at home! Please keep being a great office!

Dr Allen is always a pleasure to work with. I'd definitely recommend. They truly care for the child and take their time to explain everything clearly. I will say their no show policy is no joke! $100 fee per patient - so if you have multiple children in your family scheduled at once it adds up quickly. Be mindful of that. The parking can be a little tricky in the lot too but other than that no complaints!

I will gladly return to a place again and again if the staff is friendly, respectful, and helpful. My son, Raiden, had an appointment scheduled for a filling on 2/13 at 3:00 PM. Unfortunately, both he and I have been sick, throwing up, and not feeling well, so I needed to cancel and reschedule the appointment. I called today at 4:51 PM, and the woman who answered the phone already sounded stressed and was sighing while asking for my son's information. She said things like, "Ugh, okay... ugh, I can't hear you--did you say June?" when I had clearly said two. Her tone was irritated and upset from the start. While I understand people have stressful days, the interaction felt unprofessional. She then told me, in a very rude and demanding tone, "I'm going to need you to give me a reason why you're canceling, because we have a 48-hour cancellation window and you're calling at the end of the day, and I don't have anyone to fill that spot for the doctor." I was taken aback, as I was simply trying to reschedule. I explained politely that we have been sick and that I didn't feel it was appropriate to come into the office while we've been throwing up. She responded with, "Well, I don't see any previous cancellations, so I'll cancel it," which felt as though she was implying that if I had canceled before, this appointment might not have been allowed or I would be penalized. Despite this, I remained friendly and thanked her. She told me I could call back once we felt better and then abruptly hung up without any response. I'm not sure whether this behavior reflects the employee herself or the pressure placed on her by management, but either way, it's unacceptable. I don't want to do business with people who are rude to their customers, nor with a company that creates an environment where employees feel it's okay, or necessary to speak to patients this way. A 48-hour cancellation policy is a large window for customers, and it is not my responsibility as a parent or patient to fill a doctor's schedule, especially when illness is involved. I can't help that my child and I are sick. This experience cost you a loyal customer. I also will not be recommending this office to anyone.

Got a bill that my insurance was charged for fluoride and other things to totaling over $211. No big deal I called to straighten it out because the first appointment was to get him established etc. They told told me it was an error and they would refund it and fix it. I expressed that it was odd to me that it was charged and that the remaining bill was so high for a 10 minute intro visit. The Dentist called me personally and wasn't very pleasant, insulted a family friend we had that was in the dental field etc and agreed to reduce the bill. Out of the 30 minute phone call I maybe spoke for 6 minutes of it. She even still said she would be willing to see him unless we decided to go elsewhere. After that I still planned on potentially returning but now got this letter essentially firing/banning us from returning with my child. Gotta say that's a first and although I had accepted the charges may have been an error it seems they didn't like that I just didn't shut my eyes and pay the bill. I would strongly advise against anyone with little ones from going here. They're nice to your face but only if you just don't ask questions and pay whatever they want you to pay.

Sedation was suggested and I was super nervous but decided it was the best route. The staff here including the Dr have been so extremely kind and patient with me. I have never had a dentist be so sympathetic with me and my concerns and her staff as well. Beyond that the work is always done very well and she's always happy to give me all my options and go the least invasive route when possible. Our experience here is always so wonderful and I highly recommend them because our sweet babies deserve the best. Also I want to leave a side note, in the beginning of all this we were offered the SDF route (it turns the cavity black) I had reservations and wanted to try some holistic options. If I could go back I would have done the SDF then and it would have kept us from having to do all this additional work. So if that's something being recommended I highly suggest taking that route.

Between them, we've experienced a range of services, braces, routine checkups, extractions, and cavity treatments, so I've gotten a pretty well rounded view of the office. We've also had the chance to see all three doctors at this location, and I can honestly say they all do exceptional work. The assistants are great as well, very patient, gentle, and good with kids. This is definitely a children focused office, and you can feel that right away. The environment is intentionally lighthearted and welcoming, which I really appreciate. They do a good job making kids feel comfortable and less intimidated by things that can be scary, like needles or procedures. That matters a lot as a parent. The front office is a strong point. Every time we walk in, we're greeted warmly and professionally. The team is always very well dressed, presentable, and organized. The space is clean and kid-friendly my kids especially enjoy the waiting area (the Fast & Furious game is always a hit). That said, there's a noticeable difference when you get to the back office. While the staff is kind and good with the kids, the overall professionalism could be improved. There's quite a bit of chatter among staff that feels unnecessary at times, and it can come across as a little too casual. I understand it's a kids' environment, but as a parent, you still want to feel like the team is focused and taking their roles seriously. I also think a bit more attention to presentation and overall demeanor in the back would go a long way just carrying themselves with a little more pride and professionalism. Overall, it's a good office with caring dentists, skilled assistants, and a welcoming environment for kids. With a little more consistency in professionalism behind the scenes, this place could easily be excellent. I also want to highlight one of the dental assistants who helped my daughter, she was honestly my favorite. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, and I really appreciated how she worked with my daughter and made her feel comfortable throughout the visit.
