This place is super clean and the staff is friendly. My kids love coming here. They get to watch their favorite show while getting their teeth cleaned.

Dr. Frooz has been my son's dentist since he was 1. Initially, we came in due to stains on my sons's teeth that had developed due to a supplement he was prescribed as a baby. Dr. Frooz listened to our concerns and was able to remove these stains. Now my toddler has a beautiful smile. Dr. Frooz and her staff are very knowledgeable and have helped to keep my son cavity free up to date. Thank you Dr. Frooz and staff!!

Happy with our dental visit!

I feel confident posting this review now after multiple visits with my three kids at Tri-City…read moreDentistry & Orthodontics. Between them, we've experienced a range of services, braces, routine checkups, extractions, and cavity treatments, so I've gotten a pretty well rounded view of the office. We've also had the chance to see all three doctors at this location, and I can honestly say they all do exceptional work. The assistants are great as well, very patient, gentle, and good with kids. This is definitely a children focused office, and you can feel that right away. The environment is intentionally lighthearted and welcoming, which I really appreciate. They do a good job making kids feel comfortable and less intimidated by things that can be scary, like needles or procedures. That matters a lot as a parent. The front office is a strong point. Every time we walk in, we're greeted warmly and professionally. The team is always very well dressed, presentable, and organized. The space is clean and kid-friendly my kids especially enjoy the waiting area (the Fast & Furious game is always a hit). That said, there's a noticeable difference when you get to the back office. While the staff is kind and good with the kids, the overall professionalism could be improved. There's quite a bit of chatter among staff that feels unnecessary at times, and it can come across as a little too casual. I understand it's a kids' environment, but as a parent, you still want to feel like the team is focused and taking their roles seriously. I also think a bit more attention to presentation and overall demeanor in the back would go a long way just carrying themselves with a little more pride and professionalism. Overall, it's a good office with caring dentists, skilled assistants, and a welcoming environment for kids. With a little more consistency in professionalism behind the scenes, this place could easily be excellent. I also want to highlight one of the dental assistants who helped my daughter, she was honestly my favorite. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, and I really appreciated how she worked with my daughter and made her feel comfortable throughout the visit.

Fortunately for us, there was an orthodontist on site, Dr. Chris, who was able to evaluate his prognosis with a few more x-rays onsite on the same day with minimal wait! Dr. Chris was able to determine that my son didn't have to do anything for now, and he just need to be routinely followed up to keep on eye on the situation. What a great setup to have an orthodontist onsite. I know he not there all the days of the week, but what a great added service!

I will gladly return to a place again and again if the staff is friendly, respectful, and helpful. My son, Raiden, had an appointment scheduled for a filling on 2/13 at 3:00 PM. Unfortunately, both he and I have been sick, throwing up, and not feeling well, so I needed to cancel and reschedule the appointment. I called today at 4:51 PM, and the woman who answered the phone already sounded stressed and was sighing while asking for my son's information. She said things like, "Ugh, okay... ugh, I can't hear you--did you say June?" when I had clearly said two. Her tone was irritated and upset from the start. While I understand people have stressful days, the interaction felt unprofessional. She then told me, in a very rude and demanding tone, "I'm going to need you to give me a reason why you're canceling, because we have a 48-hour cancellation window and you're calling at the end of the day, and I don't have anyone to fill that spot for the doctor." I was taken aback, as I was simply trying to reschedule. I explained politely that we have been sick and that I didn't feel it was appropriate to come into the office while we've been throwing up. She responded with, "Well, I don't see any previous cancellations, so I'll cancel it," which felt as though she was implying that if I had canceled before, this appointment might not have been allowed or I would be penalized. Despite this, I remained friendly and thanked her. She told me I could call back once we felt better and then abruptly hung up without any response. I'm not sure whether this behavior reflects the employee herself or the pressure placed on her by management, but either way, it's unacceptable. I don't want to do business with people who are rude to their customers, nor with a company that creates an environment where employees feel it's okay, or necessary to speak to patients this way. A 48-hour cancellation policy is a large window for customers, and it is not my responsibility as a parent or patient to fill a doctor's schedule, especially when illness is involved. I can't help that my child and I are sick. This experience cost you a loyal customer. I also will not be recommending this office to anyone.

We recently moved up north to the Vista area, and we found this office through Yelp (thanks,…read moreYelp!). Our twins have regularly visited the dentist since they were small, and we really like this dentist office--even more than their old office where we used to live. Our four-year old twins just had their second regular visit of the year, and we are all very happy with this office. The office is clean, spacious, and bright. The front office staff members are very polite and helpful when we call and check in. For the first visit, the new patient forms are online--thankfully. The dental assistants are very skilled, kind, and patient. My twins see Dr. Allen. He is very calm and kind, and he always addresses the questions my husband and I have. I think what I am most impressed with, though, is the streamlined visits and timing. In our last visit, the dental assistants called us right back and started the appointment. There was minimal waiting time for the dentist when they were done. (Their old dentist was terrible timing.) Being on time and efficient is always important, but it is even more appreciated in light of COVID. Also, my kids get super happy with the goodie bag of fun toothbrushes and toothpaste, and they particularly love the flossers--I guess those are cooler than the ones we have at home! Please keep being a great office!

I'd definitely recommend. They truly care for the child and take their time to explain everything clearly. I will say their no show policy is no joke! $100 fee per patient - so if you have multiple children in your family scheduled at once it adds up quickly. Be mindful of that. The parking can be a little tricky in the lot too but other than that no complaints!

I am a 30-Year retired and disabled Marine Corps Veteran and Fed, with ankylosing spondylitis, and low tolerance for prolonged inflammation, yet this doctor has seen me an inordinate amount of time to repair work, overdo work, and I'm labeled a problem patient. I come in I sit down. I guess I'm supposed to just accept whatever? And when I mention the fact that I'm in pain, due to my underlying condition, I am flayed, skewered, and piked. On Monday, I'm going in to receive yet another bridge to replace the broken one that lasted for 3 days, and report on a permanent crown which has completely deteriorated and now irritating the nerves below. No one answers the phone at this "main office". I thought about it, and I'm going to have to proceed with legal action at this point. I think that people rely on these free grants? But, I still have a $16,000 bill to pay. My son-in-law is a civil attorney with a major firm here in downtown San Diego, multi-million dollar cases won including malpractice. He's already looking into this practice, because his mother-in-law (ME!) has not been able to eat in over 6 months due to shoddy work. Thank God for Carissa and Narges, the only bright spots in this entire practice.
