Dr is 5 stars. The practice operations at ENT are not. Need improved processes in the clinic to handle their volume so they can keep their appointments on schedule. In 2012, an MRI detected I had chronic sinusitis, however, I had the MRI for "bigger issues", so the sinusitis got pushed to the back burner and onward I went. Fast forward five years: I got tired of fantasizing about piercings my canaliculi's with ice picks in hopes of relieving some pressure and pain. After a few trips with Dr. Hekiert, we planned surgery. She turned a five year old hellish burden into an easy fix. I made an appointment to see Dr. Adrianna Hekiert because I was having sinus problems. Dr. Hekiert found the problem and was able to treat my condition. In addition she also discovered that I suffered from severe acid reflux, I would wake up in the morning and my throat would burn. She took the time to explain what were the contributing factor that was causing my acid reflux to act up she gave me medical advice to help eliminate the burning in my throat. Dr. Hekiert is very knowledgeable and extremely professional, she cares about her patients and gives 150% of her time to help each one of her patient. Dr.Hekiert provided exceptional care prior, during and post nasal turbinate reduction surgery. The procedure itself was not painful at all , even right aftet the surgery. I took tylenol, but didn't even need that. Prior to the surgery, I suffered on a daily basis with congestion due to enlarged turbinates and had tried every remedy out there with no luck. This procedure has made such a difference in the quality of my life. I can finally breathe at night and sleep at last! I can't thank Dr. Hekiert enough for recommending and performing the procedure. OMG....I love Dr. Hekiert. She has been a godsend for me. Started with her 2 years ago. I've been suffering since I was 4 years old from allergies, other sinus problems and recurring sinus infections, and at 59 years old, I was at my wits end. Had gone to other ENT's for treatment and even sinus surgery and got no relief. I was miserable. I heard about Dr Lazur and tried to see her but her schedule had no openings for 3 weeks, so I took the first available and I saw Dr. Hekiert on my first visit. This has to be one of the best choices I ever made. She interviewed me for over 45 minutes before she even examined me. After several tests, including a CT of my skull/sinus', we met again to review all my test results. That meeting was life changing for me. I had had one of these tests going back many years ago, and surgery to "correct" the so called problem. Dr. Hekiert showed me the CT scan and showed/told me something my old ENT should have told me but didn't......that I had NO SINUS' in my forehead and had some malformations in the sinus' I have. And Dr. Hekiert was quite clear when she said to me,......and I've NEVER heard another doctor say this about another Dr's work,.... but she told me the prior surgery was a "botch job" and showed me why. She said she could correct the problem but first I'd have to go through a non surgical maintenance process to get the infections under control and get my sinus' healthy. The infections have decreased significantly. So far, so good. And surgery will happen when I choose. I have complete confidence in her and I highly recommend her to anyone who has sinus problems. read more
