My wife had it written down as 9:20. I called them at 8 am the day of to confirm. She told me that it was at 8 since I was considered a new patient. I said I could make it in 15 minutes and she said no and made me reschedule for a month later. They made me wait three months to schedule this appointment. Apparently it is Adventist Health policy to 'scan the documents' I fill out before seeing the doctor so it was just impossible to let me come 15 minutes late. Unbelievable. It's like working with a person with the empathy of Lord Voldemort. You could be dying on the floor and they wouldn't let you see the doctor until they scan the docs. I should note that I have already been a patient here and doctor Horowitz is good. The office staff is a nightmare. They switched to Adventist Health from Sierra Family Care hence the whole "new patient' debacle.

Just called to see if they are accepting new patients and the receptionist stated "it depends on…read morethe insurance." I then asked if she took Tricare and she immediately became defensive and said is it Tricare Prime, Tricare for life.. I unfortunately don't know as we just signed up for it & I asked if they were able to check by the main subscribers social.. she said with their new system they aren't able to. Doesn't make much sense if you have to submit a claim after a patient is seen as well as verify if the patient is active prior to their first visit. The receptionist in any office is the first stop to patient care. If you are unwilling to help a potential new patient with a few insurance questions, you shouldn't be in that field. Patients should know their coverage correct, but to flat out not be willing to help isn't very beneficial to the practice or the potential patient. I also don't want to go to an office if the first thing stated is "it depends on your insurance." What if I was a cash paying patient? Might as well choose to be out of network with every insurance so you can charge whatever fee you'd like per visit. This office came highly recommend but because of the one receptionist, I will be looking elsewhere. Must be hard to find friendly and warm employees in this sleepy little town.

After examining me, Dr. Friedman said I was a great candidate for a tonsillectomy. He seemed super confident and very professional. After my tonsillectomy, I have not had any throat infections, at all what so ever, i literally do not snore AT ALL (I even recorded myself sleeping because I really didn't believe it, because I've been snoring for the past 6-7 years), no problems sleeping at all! I sleep soo comfortably now, wakeup super refreshed. Best decision I have EVER made. Super happy and very grateful for this extraordinary doctor. I made an…read moreappointment at Dr Friedman's office, gave my information over the phone and the admin failed to inform me that my insurance was out of network. I showed up to my appointment and they told me at my appointment time that I was out of network. I want to see a doctor who is in-network so I told them that and left. I never signed anything nor filled out any paperwork. I get a bill in the mail for a no show appointment of $250! I call them to figure what this was for and they said it was a no show fee even though I showed to the appointment on time. Wow! What scammers! We will be contacting our lawyer and making a complaint to the board for fraud!

She even showed great sympathy for a situation I was having great difficulty dealing with myself. I'm not too sure how there are reviews about how they've never met with the doctor or that she showed no regards to them because I have never experienced this myself and have dealt first hand with great professionalism by Dr. De Silva. Her staff is very friendly as well and is always very helpful and accommodating. The wait time can be a bit crazy but never has it been two hours. My more recent appointments have been in the 8-9 am hours and I've noticed that you get seen faster during this time. I recently started with their Skin Care Club and my first experience was amazing. The explanations of your skin troubles, which by the way my skin is pretty damn good :), was helpful in remedying them. The Esthetician listened to your concerns and made note of what she was seeing and what plan would work best. The facial received was relaxing and the environment put you in a zen state. Made me wonder why I don't pamper myself more often. I'm honestly an extremely happy patient/customer of Dr. De Silva and her medical group and just learned her husband also does acupuncture. I'm glad there are so many choices they cover so you're not having to go from doctors office to doctors office. If you could be just a tad patient I can guarantee you'll be happy with the staff, Dr. De Silva, the facilities and amenities that a little wait time 'ain't never hurt nobody'.

Where do I start? This has got to be the worst medical office staff in the AV!! I haven't even been…read morethere a year & they have dropped the ball with every single visit!! Beginning with the first visit, that I waited 3 months for, I was not on their schedule!! Thankfully, one of the staff members remembered scheduling me, however, I waited 2 hours while they "worked me in". They have dropped the ball on prescriptions & lab orders EVERY SINGLE VISIT!! The most recent error was sending the wrong rx to the pharmacy, which cost me $100. Unacceptable the way they rush, assume & quick to give out the wrong info. Dr. DeSilva is wonderful, but once you leave the treatment room after talking with her, nothing gets done!! I've had to repeatedly ask for lab orders & rx's to be sent out. In addition, they failed to update orders in the system. How embarrassing that the Dr has to call the pharmacy to see what the last dosage was because her staff failed to update the chart. Complaints to management & Dr DeSilva were a total waste of time, nothing has improved, it just gets worse!! Moving on to where patient care matters & I'm taking my husband with me!
