I began my search on Yelp to help her locate a tree trimming service that could service the are of Houston my mom lives in. Although there weren't many reviews, the ones available were all 5 stars. So I contacted Delfino and within a few hours he was at my mom's to assess the damage and provide me a quote. Not only did he and his team remove the tree that had fallen, they also hauled away some previously trimmed branches that were set aside to be taken out on trash collection day. Best of all, I was able to pay for the service with Zelle.

Outstanding. Truly outstanding service and experience…read more This was the first time that I'd had Shade Tree out for a quote and then subsequent work. From beginning to end, both my husband and I were impressed. With a pine tree next to our driveway (kissing on a nearby oak) that seemed to have a compromised base, I was anxious to have this tree removed prior to the TRUE onset of hurricane season. We also have quite a few other trees on our property that had become overgrown and were touching or impeding either our house or our neighbors' houses. I called Jose to request a quote, and within days he was here to give us a written estimate. His company is fully bonded and insured. We thought his estimate seemed very fair, but we had also scheduled to receive an estimate from our "usual" tree service, who came out the same day (after waiting nearly a week for a reply). Shade Tree's estimate was better - AND, he was able to come out the following week to complete the job (rather than waiting two weeks as our other estimate indicated we would need to wait in order for him to complete the job). Sure enough, Jose and his skilled crew were here EARLY on the day we scheduled. Perfect! They did a superior job of removing the compromised pine tree without harming the oak that was almost adjoining it. All other trees were trimmed beautifully, with the intent to assist nearby trees in their growth as well as make our home safe. Clean up was superb and communication throughout the entire morning's worth of work was outstanding. This is a local business, and I always want to support local entrepreneurs. Jose and his team certainly deserve a true 5-star rating, as they were a fantastic crew to work with.

Would hire them again in a heart beat and have recommended them quite a few times.

The…read moreowner Rufus met with us and it was clear his priority wasn't to just cut trees down - it was saving them with an arborist's mindset. This initial evaluation really set them apart from other tree companies we have used. Rufus took several hours walking and assessing our property, then explaining to us what each tree needed to thrive. The very next day his crew arrived at 8am with 8+ workers with all the right (and large!) equipment, handling our property with impressive efficiency. They completed everything in just a few hours with coordination and professionalism - almost like watching a dance performance. What really stood out was the result: our trees look healthier, stronger, and genuinely revitalized. our 40+ loblolly pines were saved, our oaks were perfectly pruned and the large decorative tree by our front road and driveway got exceptional care making it a great tree to welcome folks (it was kinda scary looking before). Not a single tree had to be removed. Rufus (the owner) was exceptional - experienced, knowledgeable, clearly passionate. He is personable and easy to approach. You can tell he has seen it all (not his first rodeo by any stretch of the imagination). He cares about doing the job right. The pricing was very reasonable especially considering all that was involved. Cleanup was perfect - nothing left on the ground. They even removed large stumps that a previous tree company left that we've had to deal with mowing around for years. This was the best tree service experience we've had - and we've had a few before that were only mediocre. We just couldn't be happier with Rufus and his team.

I had a neutral experience with this particular place based on full circle follow up…read more We picked this place based on the general reviews, and also the person that scheduled the appointment and the availability for the person to come out. We were told that we had an issue with a particular beetle and to do a deep root treatment. We did do this, spending over 1k. About five months ish later, we noticed that one of the trees was losing branches. Before I made the decision to do anything with the tree I wanted arbor tree to come out and relook at it to see if it could be saved with additional treatment. They scheduled us for a few weeks and that day that they were supposed to show up they cancelled. They then rescheduled for a few weeks later and again that day they cancelled. (I think there might have been a days notice on one of them.) I understand new clients feel like a priority especially with the wind and weather. But I would think that a client that has already spent money would be somewhat prioritized from a customer sense and also it didn't feel great to be canceled twice on short notice perhaps because they were doing follow up. Either way, I couldn't wait an additional month. I am disappointed overall in the full circle experience and can nor recommend.

DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORK…read more Sure, they may sucker you in with their deceptive professionalism and competitive pricing and responsiveness. But once you have hired them for more than one job, you'll see their real deal. They are SHADY and lazy. They would STEAL one of my steel T-posts after I told them no when they asked for one multiple times while they were working on my yard (I had several lying around). Only reason why I found out was because I needed to borrow one of their tools after they were about finished and they pointed me to one of their trailers, and the dad thought I'd caught him so he handed me my T-post from his trailer. Let me explain the LAZY part. I'd told them specifically to grind the crepe myrtle roots and stumps really well after they cut them down, because I knew too well how invasive these can be. They said sure sure. Days later and now 4 months later, I'm still dealing with all the huge roots left from the crepe myrtles and bushes they left me with because they were too lazy to grind them well. I also think it's partly because they didn't want to dull their machine etc. Reason why I say that is because I'd asked them 3-4 times while they were working to GIVE ME THE MULCH from the stump grinding etc. They said OK OK. At the end, they gave me nothing. I asked them, where's my mulch...They were like, how much you want? Then reluctantly scooped up a wheelbarrow or two at like 7pm...then said they'd give me pure mulch from their jobs later on (didn't want to stay later). I said, why didn't you grind them and give me the mulch while you were working? Kevin said they didn't want to use their machine too much. So, there you go. They did two jobs for me, over $2000 each time. I spent pretty pennies on them and that's what I got. I debated for a long time whether I should write this because I wanted to let bygones be bygones and not ruin someone's business but I'm too upset. And the world needs to know the truth. You, their potential customers, should know. GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

Their price estimates were accurate/reasonable for the job. We had an incident with a tree before they were scheduled to come out and they were incredibly helpful in going out of their way to come by and also move us up on their calendar so we could get the trees taken out ahead of schedule. Professional and reliable! They communicated the process and everything well. We were a bit uneducated about trees and the removal process. Rose's did a good job explaining everything. We feel they are trust worthy to use. The trees and stumps were removed and they also cleaned up the areas after. They take before/after photos and respond quickly. Highly recommend for tree services. We will use them again down the road for any tree issues!

That was a week ago. Never heard back and no one showed up. Guess I will try one more time. Update... Called back and spoke to a new lady who was apologetic for the flakiness. Brandon came out for our scheduled appointment and was very friendly and had helpful info on our queen palms. We are going to wait and see how they do over the summer. He even attempted to take a small one up for us. On the phone, they said it would be $100 for the evaluation fee and ended up being charged an extra $3 for a "convenience processing fee" plus tax for a total of $111.25. Not that it is a huge amount extra, but it would have been nice if that was stated up front. Overall, I would deal with them again and see how things go.
