I had been trying to ignore it but often times the leg would ache if I sat for extended periods of time. A long, unpleasant, dull pain. So other than feeling self-conscious during the summer and not feeling very good about how my legs looked the pain was a growing issue for me. We discussed the EVLA option and I felt comfortable with Doctor's care. This varicose vein procedure didn't require any kind of surgery (maybe it's newer). The whole visit took about an hour but the treatment was rather quick (about 20 or so minutes). The initial couple weeks after were relatively regular weeks, as they are described in all the EVLA/ EVLT brochures: Bruising, some discomfort (but tolerable), etc. Eventually all the pain went by the wayside and all the bruising is gone.. the stockings too. Bulge removed. Things are good.

This place is very organized and thorough. They mailed me a packet, detailing how to prepare for the procedure. They also texted me a few days before, reminding me what to do, and what time my appointment was. I appreciated all the tips for preparation and the do's and dont's. From start to finish, everything is well organized, efficient, and timely. Check in is easy and they even offered to give me information about a living will and medical directives, since I didn't have things like that in place. I've been meaning to do it and wasn't sure where to start and the packet of information was really helpful. They are very thorough explaining the procedure, anesthesia, risks, and all the paperwork you are signing. Cell phones are discouraged so I didn't take any photos, and I appreciated that devices were not allowed in the waiting room and entire facility. Masks are optional. Due to the anesthesia, you need someone to drive you and your driver must be on the premises at all times. Dr. Jacob is so nice! She saw me before the procedure and explained a lot and put me at ease. She spoke with me afterwards too, to go over results and follow up information. This was my first time with anesthesia and my anesthesiologist, Natalie, was very friendly and told me what to expect. She really put me at ease as well. I was put in a hospital bed and wheeled around to where I needed to go. Suzanne was fabulous, got me settled in, and went over my medical history and some forms. My clothes were kept in a bag, and they even had a special place to keep my glasses safe during the procedure. They hung up my mask too, to keep it clean. Marissa and Lisa were the two nurses in the room during my procedure and they introduced themselves right away and were wonderful. The procedure was easy. I don't remember anything. When I woke up, Shellie was waiting for me with water to drink and checking in to see how I was feeling. My mom was in the recovery room with me and that was very nice. (I was asked ahead of time if I wanted my family member with me in recovery and I said yes). It was nice to have my mom in there to listen to things too because I was still a bit out of it. I was in excellent hands here, from start to finish. It was a very positive experience and I highly recommend coming here.

UM requires a COVID test before any procedure, and they made me get one before my colonoscopy this…read morepast weekend. Last year I had to drive to Canton, to one of UM's drive-thru COVID testing sites, which was like an hour's drive, so I was pleased to see that MyHealth Troy (and Birmingham) were listed as acceptable alternates on UM's website, since MyHealth Troy is only a 5-minute drive for me. I called beforehand but they said I did not need an appointment. UM said they faxed the order to them but I also brought a paper copy just in case. This is the first time I've had a COVID test and have not had to go through a drive-thru, not sure if that's super safe but I do prefer that versus a drive-thru. It only took about 5 minutes total and then I was on my way. They were supposed to fax the results to UM, and they did, but a day later ... still a good two days before my procedure so that was fine. I know they also offer the vaccine here, what's funny is that I book vaccines for people as a vaccine angel and I've actually booked a ton of people here, so it was interesting to actually stop by. If you're coming here for urgent care, you'll want to go through the door on the left, but if you're going for the vaccine, follow the signs and go to the door on the right. Plenty of parking right in front of both doors, as well.

I can 'feel' that she was genuinely concerned for the two of us. She was an Angel with a beautiful accent. The prescription she wrote for myself and my daughter made my daughter and her care put us back together again - her service and presence was so profound that I WILL NOT EVER take my daughter back to her previous primary care physicia. Everytime we have had to visit ASCENSION|Myhealth URGENT CARE - I have never been disrespected nor have I ever been disappointed. The environment was immaculate. Clegg and Guest is a place that you can walk into and feel, not just comfortable, but welcomed. In the 2 months I did my PT there, I felt at ease, unpressured, guided and cared for. There was not one single employee that EVER had an attitude, was cross or ac like the were unapproachable. Bre was my therapist who was not only great at muscle manipulation but in tune with the interior workings of my injured shoulder. She is really amazing! The young people who guided me through the strengthening exercises were also absolutely enjoyable. Liam, Dominic, Pierce and Jen were all very careful, helpful and supportive every step of the way. Now that I have graduated with a strong shoulder: I will miss my new young friends terribly. We had lots of laughs! The office personnel were great too. Always willing to work around my schedule.
