Several weeks went by, filled with stress, long calls, repair bills, and nonstop back-and-forth...Then, we get a letter saying we didn't meet the deductible (no money). Apparently this happens all the time, SHOCKER. My coworker told me to call Mike at Blueprint, and the second they got involved, it was a whole different experience. They knew exactly what to do, took over all the communication moving forward and guess what? We received a settlement check. There's no way we would've gotten this outcome without hiring blueprint. Bottom line: don't assume your insurance company will do the right thing. Save yourself the headache and hire your own adjuster- Blueprint worked out real well for us and had our back.

    Extremely Disappointing Experience - Claim Was Mishandled I…read morehired this public adjuster to assist with my insurance claim, trusting that they would handle the process correctly and advocate on my behalf. Unfortunately, due to their failure to properly file and submit the required report and documentation, my claim was severely compromised and ultimately unsuccessful. This was not a minor error. The improper handling of the claim directly prevented me from receiving the insurance benefits I was entitled to, causing significant financial and emotional stress that could have been avoided with competent and professional service. I ultimately had to intervene by hiring a third company to conduct a proper inspection and prepare a professional report for submission to the insurance company. As explained by the insurance representative during mediation, it was only because of this third-party report that I was able to recover anything at all. I relied on this public adjuster's expertise, but that trust was misplaced. Despite the many positive reviews they have, I strongly recommend that anyone considering their services proceed with caution. In my experience, clients are treated as numbers, and the consequences of rushed or inadequate work fall entirely on the policyholder.

While I must say 14 months later, I didn't get enough money to cover everything that needs to be done to fix my house, at least now I feel thanks to them that I can breathe again. I can now start the process of starting to fix things up and get my house livable again. I want to say thank you to Stellar and Amanda Bovo specifically for her kindness and keeping me up-to-date on the progress so I didn't freak out and thinking would never see the light at the end of the tunnel. She would always call me back promptly just to assure me that I was in good hands and not too many companies do that these days. So I still have a lot to go through in renovations, etc. but I would highly recommend Stellar as they seem like they actually care for their customers during a long drawn out process in working with these insurance companies that we pay to all our lives and then when we really need them, never want to pay out. If I ever have a claim again for insurance, I will call Stellar first. I learned a lot through this experience, all thanks to Stellar! Consumers should not have to go through this as if losing their home isn't enough stress in itself much less having to face such challenges from our insurance companies that we expect to get some help from and don't. It is mandatory that we pay them but in the end when we need them, they don't come through. And I feel the whole system is wrong, but thank God we have adjusters like Stellar to make things right or at least help to make them somewhat right. Thank you Stellar!

They manipulate customers into signing paperwork without clear explanations, trapping them in financial nightmares. There was zero transparency from the start. Without my knowledge or consent, Restoration 1 was brought in by a plumbing company, giving me no chance to research them or stay informed about recent insurance policy changes. especially while I was grieving the loss of my husband and my dog within a single month. They took it upon themselves to install fans and dehumidifiers without disclosing any costs, then blindsided me with an outrageous $3,000 bill. With these new insurance complexities, I was left utterly helpless in what can only be described as a predatory scheme. When I called to discuss a possible payment arrangement, the first person I spoke to had no interest in customer service, only in squeezing money out of me. I could barely finish a sentence as they rudely talked over me. Hoping for a more reasonable conversation, I reached out to the manager, only to be met with one of the most heartless, disgusting replies I have ever heard. After I explained that my husband passed away just three months ago, leaving me in severe financial hardship, her response was: "We don't care what happened before our installation, we don't care what happened during the installation, and we don't care what happened after the installation. We just want you to pay the $3,000 or we will put you into collections!" Following that awful conversation, they sent me a letter threatening to send me to collections for $11,000 if I didn't pay within 10 days. I immediately called to let them know the original check had been canceled and a new one was being issued, which might extend beyond the 10 day window. The woman who answered the phone then accused me of lying and changing my story every time I called, insisting she didn't have time to listen to me. She repeated multiple times that I was lying, never giving me the chance to explain that the situation had changed and that they would receive their payment as soon as the new check was issued. They didn't even have the courtesy to inform me of the latest changes in insurance policies. A public adjuster was appalled by this story and explained that these machines can cost $300 per machine per day, and some companies use more machines than necessary just to jack up the bill. He was deeply sorry that I had to deal with Restoration 1 of Boca Raton's management. Let that sink in. This company's management has no morals, no conscience, and no sense of decency. Their only goal is to exploit people for profit. They don't care about their customers' circumstances, show basic human decency, or even reflect the polite demeanor of their own on-site employees. I fired them immediately, before they could exploit me any further. After looking into their reputation, I was disgusted, but not surprised, to find they have a disgraceful 1-star rating. If a 0-star option existed, they would undoubtedly qualify. This business should be shut down, and I strongly urge anyone considering them to RUN in the opposite direction. I informed the plumbing company of my ordeal, and they said I was the second person that same day to complain about Restoration 1's services and costs. They promised to remove this company from their list of mold remediation options. Restoration 1 is nothing more than a predatory operation that thrives on deceit, exploitation, and taking advantage of vulnerable customers. STAY AWAY!
