I paid almost $1,600 for Dermamelan treatment on my back, chest, and stomach. I had no allergic reaction during the in‑clinic portion and confirmed my at‑home instructions carefully. A week later, my skin became painful, raw, and the top layer was visibly peeling. I sent photos to the clinic and was told this was "normal" and to continue my post care. It wasn't. My skin barrier was broken, and following their advice meant applying an acid product to open wounds. Within two days, I developed severe chemical burns across my back, chest, and neck. My skin is now scarred and significantly worse than before I ever contacted Bellair. It didn't end there. My in‑person assessment with Dr. Pugen was switched to virtual while I was already on my way, making it useless. As I cried through the appointment, he suggested laser treatment even though both my dermatologist and Bellair's own coordinator said it would be high‑risk for my skin type. Two follow‑up calls were scheduled; nobody called me either time and I had to call the clinic to make the appointments happen. The clinic also took very personal "before" photos of my bare chest and back, then later claimed they COULDN'T FIND THEM and they were never uploaded due to "wifi issues." They use iPads with internal storage, so this makes no sense. The violation of patient privacy is truly baffling. When I requested a refund from the director, Oscar Amar, he dragged it out for 19 days, insisted they "did nothing wrong," and eventually offered a partial refund of no specified amount. After everything, it was like a slap in the face. What happened to me here was NOT OKAY. Period. It was dangerous, negligent, and deeply unethical. Proceed with extreme caution. Went in with super chapped hands and untrimmed nails from a whole month of traveling and neglect; came out with soft hands, neat trims, and shiny happy new nail colors. The nail trimming / cuticle shaping / hand care / etc are done with so much attention to detail and her polish application skills are top-notch :) I'm a perfectionist and you can imagine how happy I get when my nail colors always come out smooth and pretty. I was really excited because I do believe she's great at what she does and she specializes in black skin, which is a plus. A couple days ago I was alerted at work that my covid rapid test had come back positive. I was asked to take a follow up PCR test then go home. I knew I had my appointment on Monday, so I gave Rea notice. She requires 48hrs, I gave 24hrs. Bear in mind, it is Sunday afternoon and I've just been told that I've tested positive for covid. I explained that to Rea and she immediately informed me that I am to etransfer her the amount for my "late" cancellation ($195.00) or she will cancel all my appointments. I was taken aback and was very put off by this response. I respect the policy of any business I frequent, however I strongly belive that sensitivity, tact and compassion are pillars in customer service and in that moment, Rea was deeply lacking in those traits. Fortunately she was able to cover an hour of the appointment and told me to send her $65 instead or she will cancel the rest of my appointments. Because I was still willing to move forward with her despite insensitivity, I e-transferred her the amount. But after much thought, I decided that I am not interested in doing business with someone who cannot understand that in uncertain times like this - life happens. It's unfortunate because I was really looking forward to finally being hair free after struggling with this for so long. However "good work", as she calls it, means nothing without sensitivity and tact. P.S. I'd like to note that she requires payment for missed appointments or late cancelations because that means she loses money - which is fair. But I'd ALSO like to note that as a client, I'm paying for gas/transit, parking, my time, as well as paying for the actual service. I'm not requesting a free service or special favors. And although she has "no exceptions". I think exceptions should be made for Covid. Since she left, however, the quality of service has noticeably declined. The new provider is consistently 30 minutes late for appointments, which is frustrating and unprofessional. I also recently received a peel that had no visible effect -- it felt like a waste of time and money. I plan to complete the few remaining treatments in my package, but I likely won't return after that. It's disappointing to see such a drop in standards after Nadia's departure.

I get the same procedure and the same amount of units every year. I decided to try this place out since they were offering a promotional pricing at the time. After I received my injections, I waited a month with no visible result what so ever. Mind you, I know how much of a significant difference this procedure makes for my jaw line, as I severely grind my teeth at night and tend to overproduce my masseter muscle. Hence why I get the injection every 8 months or so. I don't know if the injector was not experienced or if the Botox was mixed with saline water to compensate for the promotional pricing but I would never go back here again.

The staff was well aware that I am an essential worker and that I may get called in last minute or required to stay beyond my expected shift. There were a number of times I was unable to make my appointment last minute, each of which I contacted the establishment to apologize, explain that I would pay a cancellation fee and understood that my credit for that appointment would be forfeit. I completely expect this, as it shouldn't be their responsibility to accommodate for my ever-changing schedule. I would offer a cancellation fee because although they are not losing money due to the missed appointment the technician would not be getting tipped and I felt it appropriate to compensate for loss of that. The only thing that would otherwise be changed by my missed appointment was the use of less materials. Now, if my appointments were not paid for in advance, and were not forfeit then I would ABSOLUTELY pay for the entire appointment. They would have been able to fill that appointment by a paying client. The final time I tried to make an appointment with them, I was told I would no longer be accepted as a client as I had to miss too many appointments..... I think I had only used 4 treatments and forfeit three. A large portion of the appointments I physically paid for based on their promise were not honoured. It's fair if you agree that this is appropriate, but I was honest about my profession, let them know as soon as I was able, offered compensation for the missed appointment and did not expect to have that credit used at a further time. I do NOT feel that this was an appropriate response. I should have been able to use my remaining bookings and if I were unable to make those they should use the credit every time, that is a ME problem. I just want to make sure that people are aware this is the kind of understanding and professionalism that is offered before they enter into a contract with you. I will say, when I did receive my services I was always very pleased with the work that was completed.
