I saw the suspiciously glowing Google reviews and took a chance, even though Yelp told a very different story. I bet wrong. WARNING ‼ This business canceled on me twice, both on the same day of the appointment, each time with less than 2 hours' notice and no phone call. I drove 40 minutes, showed up, and only then found out I was canceled on again. They advertise a 24-hour cancellation policy but clearly don't follow it. When I asked for a refund on a prepaid package, they refused even after admitting their mistake. Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and disrespectful of clients' time. As others mentioned, they are on Groupon, which you really do need to read the fine print for. You also cannot combine other groupons, which I found out the hard way and had to return my credit as they would not allow me to use a second. The staff is nice and welcoming, no complaints there. I was in for microdermabrasion and I know you need multiple sessions to see results, but nothing really seemed different from before and after. I purchased a photofacial (ipl) through Groupon, but what they don't tell you is that you need to still pay tax when you arrive. The shop is a bit hard to find because it's dark, follow my photos to locate the spa. The lady working is very kind. I wish I could give negative stars. Do not share your phone number or email under any circumstances. They will relentlessly spam you with promotional messages from different numbers, even after promising to remove you from their lists. I still get texts every few months despite multiple requests to stop. The owner is extremely unprofessional--canceling or rescheduling appointments at the last minute, sometimes without even notifying you. On top of that, the business has relocated three times in less than two years, adding to the chaos. I also strongly suspect their equipment is substandard or counterfeit. Despite doing "touch-up" laser treatments for 1.5 years (which I foolishly prepaid for), I've seen almost no improvement and still have nearly the same amount of hair. I 100% believe this place survives off Groupon scams! Like many others I bought a Groupon. I "upgraded" because the Groupon only allows for every 8 weeks but laser should be done 4-6 weeks. Tried contacting the owner to get the last sessions reimbursed and she refused. I tried laser before on other areas and it worked perfectly so the issue is really the clinic. I'm an asian woman with dark hair, making me a great candidate for laser hair removal and long lasting results. I've been coming here for 16 months for laser hair removal which the technician said would be permanent after 12 months of treatments (at least the armpits). I am so disappointed at the results, between treatments I'm still growing half the hair so I still need to shave, now that I've stopped 2 months in my armpits are back to normal. Went through 10 sessions for my thick black hair on pink skin (ie. the ideal candidate for laser hair removal) and I'm just as hairy now as during the treatments. the salon kept putting the blame on me, not their equipment but I've had treatment other places with great success. the place felt dirty and the treatment room didn't have a door, just a curtain. it doesn't feel private or secure. read more

The staff were nice enough but they were also inattentive and it felt like they tried to get the laser treatment done in as little time as possible (though to be fair, this did vary a bit depending on who I saw any given time). They were also pushy and tried to up-sell their services, even though I had pre-purchased one of their service packages online, saying that the original package was "not enough" and "a waste of money" if I don't purchase more sessions... which is like... you're the ones who created the package that I originally bought? Just.. shady. About the treatments: only about 75% of the hair fell out after each session, and I did get a pretty big burn on my skin after one of the sessions (caveat here: I'm not an expert, so if both these things are common with laser hair removal, then the clinic is not at fault). A simple "good morning, how are you doing" would do wonders. A "goodbye" when you leave is appreciated. Scam Artists - If you can't trust their word why would you trust their service quality? I bought a Groupon on Saturday for this place. "Unlimited Laser for 8 areas". I arrived to my consultation three days later on Wednesday evening. The consultation was to tell me that I needed to come every month BUT that I would need to purchase an "extension" package for an extra 380-400 'or so' in order for the treatment to work. The fine print says even though 'unlimited' you can only come every 8 weeks. Fine, I said I would not be giving them any more money as I didn't appreciate being cornered and asked for more money for the treatment to work. Such a dishonest way to get people in the door, not to mention FALSE advertising. I expressed my displeasure with the situation so the attendant asked if I wanted to speak to the owner. The owner, was very combative and downright rude. Said "I don't know why people think that they could just pay $199" Umm... because that is what you advertised? She said I could have refund HOWEVER, I got home to find out she redeemed the voucher - even more shady. Now I will battle with Groupon and tell anyone that will listen. Stay away from this place. I have visited Posh Spa more than 8 times and every visit and treatment has been great. The owner is very responsive and books the appointments as needed. The email reminders are great help. I have seen Titi for my face treatments and Microdermabrasion. She made a huge difference in my skin appearance and the large pores. Their new location on Carlton St. is a bit out of the way, but it's a cute little spa with a "modern industrial glam" decor. I came in with a Groupon for laser hair removal. I did buy extra treatments (coming in with an aesthetics background, I knew that the six treatments wouldn't be enough). However, I am very happy with the results and am seeing a good reduction in hair growth. I started in September; I think by the end of summer I will have hair-free areas finally! Check their reviews before your purchase! I purchased a Groupon for 3 microdermabrasions in the winter. The first time I went there I purchased one more service and the esthetician was relatively nice because of that. Both procedures were done in less than 30 min. Because I didn't see any improvements, the 2nd time I went there I decided to stick to the single dermabrasion. Again the esthetician (a different one) was very fast (she finished everything in 10 min or so) and didn't bother to spend any more time with pleasantries. When I mentioned that the treatment seems superficial and very short comparing to other similar treatments I had in the past, she said very abrasively that she did everything she was supposed to do. Because both estheticians I met there were very unpleasant and I felt like I was bothering them with my treatments, I decided to save my subway token money and do not show for the 3rd session. Also, it didn't feel that the treatments made any difference for my skin. Stay away from this place and save your money! read more

The 5 sessions were for the FAT CAV treatments which were of no use to me and every time I went in the technicians were using different techniques and were rushing through the procedure, even though there was no one else waiting for an appointment. Warning!!! I paid. On group on 180. For 6 area Plus additional 250 on a separate visit for the rest of my body plus the taxes and set up Fee. my 1st 2 times amazing. Than it was Way messed up. I set up morning appointment month in advance and. Someone from the spa calls and asks me to change my time to 2 pm. I agree. I Call at 2pm tell them I am on Jarvis Not far. Just finished my dentist, Arrive at 210pm. To be told they can't see me they only have 15 min til a next client arrives! And when I said I just called and I had the 1030am time that was rescheduled due to the staff not me. I was yelled at and told. "YOU DIDNT HAVE TO TAKE THE TIME!" Than I was told I WAS MOVED CAUSE IT WAS A 5 HOUR GAP AND NO1 WANTED TO.COME IN! I said this isn't right. How can u treat people like this and I walked out saying this isn't right.. I accommodate your need to move my time but you can't accommodate me 10 mins?? And I called! Stunned at my miss treatment! I left. And when I called 930 am the next day to get a new time. I requested morning. Not bringing up anything That happened. But wanted to be clear of NOT to be BOOKED with any of the women who was working on Thursday the 19th. And wow did the lady get mad!! She said, I was the lady yesterday! I said great! I felt attacked and yelled at and I Dont want to get naked in front of women who yelled at me.. I had a good experience during my appointment. Very informative. Not that friendly to start with but soon started getting a long well. Only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the payment process. She typed in the amount and I realized there was no tip option. I then asked her to add an amount for me to type and said 20% because I had a good experience. She then behind my back proceeded to tip herself 35%. I didn't care much but the principal of it really bothered me. Could've been an honest mistake - but really didn't seem like it. I saw a deal on groupon for 3 fat cavitation session for $100 and decided to go in for a consultation first.They were not pushy about making me pay at the consultation and was happy to schedule my first appointment for me and letting me on the day of the appointment which was great. The spa always answers the phone and e-mail. The location can be hard to spot at first but once in it it's a super cute space with chic decor and nice atmosphere. The spa owner Desi was super kind and transparent with the pricing and the effectiveness of the treatment. I was given plenty of information before buying and was never pressured into buying any unwanted purchases. I did the 3 sessions, although there's no huge difference on me I was in fact told that I'll need at least 6 sessions to see changes. Even the technician herself informed that she did 7 sessions to get to where she wants to be. I will for sure be purchasing more sessions in the near future. This is a unique medical spa with great services and an excellent touch of personal care. For a small location business in Toronto you really can't ask for more. They're excellent. Terrible experience!! Please don't waste your $$$ here! I had Lisa as the dermabrasion technician. She was very rough with the dermabrasion instrument & completed everything very fast in less than 30 minutes. There was no facial masque as indicated on voucher. She kept telling me that I had ageing skin & she could only do so much to help me. My face got redder throughout the day, by evening it was burning terribly & I had to put ice to cool down the burning & painful sensation. I woke up 5 times to put more ice on my face...She obviously burned my face with this treatment. I had to take Ibuprofen to get rid of the inflammation.. The next morning, my face still looked awful and irritated by the treatment. I avoided going out all day as it was sunny and UV is quite high...didn't go out til 6 pm to avoid getting redder skin! On day 2 after the treatment I still didn't go out for fear of more damage from the sun would aggravate my face... read more

The girls are rude, especially if you purchased from #Groupon. I told them I wanted to purchase from Groupon when I walked in to visit the place, they made me pay them directly to avoid Groupon's commission when Groupon did the marketing for them. That should have been a red flag. Moreover, they charge a 50$ rescheduling fee and don't tell you until you get there!!!!!! Doctors don't even charge that! This place is a waste of money for laser hair removal! I have half a mind to think this is a scam. I went in for laser hair removal on my legs, purchased via Groupon obvi: I made a joke about it bc who pays full price for laser hair removal anyway ;) but the aesthetian was unamused. Regular thing, tried to push more treatments on, which I bought bc oddly KNEES ARE NOT INCLUDED in lower and upper leg. -_-Rip off IMO and I should have declined there and then and saved an extra $170 or whatever. Full disclosure, and this is how I can to believe their laser is a SCAM or done poorly: I went in to a different spa for laser hair removal around the bikini/underarms a few days before going to Posh for legs...and have been shedding my dead hair from the bikini and underarms. My legs, which was the zone Posh treated, has not been shedding as it should, nor do I have ANY less hair after 2.5 weeks (shedding should start at 1.5 weeks and end at 3 weeks) -_-. I'm a perfect candidate, pale skin and dark hair, I followed the instructions to a T, and am obviously a responder because my other areas are responding beautifully. I found the procedure to be exceedingly quick compared to the other laser treatment, and without the same sensation during. I worried she had not done a good job as I walked out because of the quick "treatment" and lack of sensation, and my lack of ANY results on the areas sbe treated leads me to confirm my suspicion that it was either done poorly or with outdated technology. I DO NOT recommend Posh at all. I will be calling to ask for a refund which I believe will be in vain, but it's worth a shot because I plan on going to the other spa to get results on my legs (Royal Blush for anyone curious, I'm not affiliated or anything: I just found them to be effective and professional). Bottom line: I had a rushed experience with no results even though other areas done by another place responded with one treatment.
