I have to say .. reading these reviews is very funny, but not funny. These girls in these salons…read morehave an onus to the public to provide decent hair cuts, dyes, highlights and anything else they are required BY LAW to do. If you aren't happy with your cut, style, color ask for your money back or tell them you aren't paying them. Take a picture of your hair BEFORE and after so if needed, you have the proof and evidence of a bad cut, style, color, etc. Not all these girls are nice in ANY of the cutting crew places, including Oneonta, Norwich, Sidney, and etc. I filed a complaint and DAWN from New Jersey threatened me and has now followed me to every Salon I have been to that is affiliated with the Cutting Crew. Dawn is in New Jersey. Beauticians are beauticians. They are not doctors, therapists, or anything else except a hairdresser. Not happy? Don't pay them. PERIOD. And this can be a lesson for Everyone. Do your jobs or you simply won't get paid. Customers. Be nice don't expect the world, but do expect a decent job which is what these girls are trained to do. Be nice on both sides and see what happens. The NY State Attorney General's office will also take complaints as well. Take care and happy holidays.

I don't usually publish names or horrible reviews, but this one takes the cake…read more 1) DON'T INSULT YOUR CUSTOMERS WHEN THEY AREN'T THERE I get there and the two "stylists" - TRISH & HANNAH decide to talk bad about a customer who went to see if another salon could take her in faster. As a result, they decided to not let her sign in and talked bad about her (AS A CUSTOMER, AND JUST AS A HUMAN BEING, WE DON'T NEED TO BE BAD MOUTHED). 2) THIS IS BLATANT FALSE ADVERTISING. They charge $13.95 & up. On the shampoo she asks "do you use conditioner?" so I say "yes". It turns out, it's a $2 charge because she put conditioner in my hair and didn't tell me it was extra. Apparently getting your hair clipped is another $1, a charge I was not informed about. ALL OTHER PLACES DO THIS FOR FREE OR WILL TELL YOU WHEN THERE IS A CHARGE. I was so upset, I didn't ask for a card and they were not remorseful for what they had done. I will go to the place across the way since they are fair and decent to their customers.

$11 Wash and cut every Wednesday. This isn't a high class salon, but it's great if you need a trim…read more I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. My hair has stayed healthier with this Wednesday deal, and I've only had good experiences so far.

If I could rate it a zero I would. Very unprofessional. I took my mother there for mothers day…read more It was the first time she'd ever been to a salon, and was really excited/nervous. Her intention was to lighten her hair. After four different girls looking annoyed at the fact that they had to work tried to talk us out of it, we did it anyway. Their concern was the fact that it was damaging to the hair. I would also like to point out that I made an appointment for this three-days in advance. I spoke specifically to a the receptionist and had explained exactly what we would we doing, so my mind is boggled as to why there was shock amongst the people working. After four hours of processing with the bleach on and off my mothers head, the "colorist" was stummped as to why none of the color was lifting. By this time my mothers hair looked like straw, though we kind of expected this. The thing we didn't expect was that after all that, the color lifted in spots. After ten or so minutes of just staring at my mother wondering what to do, she finally asked someone who was sweeping up hair what she should do. The woman promptly advised her to try wrapping the hair in foil and heating it up. The woman never did this. Never even thought to do this. I could very well have done this for my mother myself, but being that there would be so many harsh chemicals I brought her to a "professional." Hell, as soon as the woman had been done slopping the bleach in and didn't foil her hair, I wondered what sort of magical chemical they used that didn't require heat, or foil. Six-hours after we walked in the place, we were walking out with my mother with random chucks of orance strewn about her hair. The woman had refused to wear gloves during the bleaching process, so while she was drying my mothers hair, her hands were on fire... Not only did my mother leave that place with half wet/frizzy/almost leopard-spotted hair, but I was out close to two-hundred dollars as well. I will never forget her face as she left the mall mortified at how she looked. I genuinely feel robbed, and the only thing worse than the fact that that woman had no idea what she was doing, was the fact that the man taking the money from us, who I'm assuming was the owner, actually looked taken aback at my mothers hair for an instant as we were paying... How can you take all that money from me, and look at our faces and not at least acknowledge the fact that all hell had broken loose on my mothers head? If you're looking for a place to get your hair done, go find yourself a professional! These people are the furthest thing from. F.Y.I - I believe the name of the glove-less wonder was Jody.
