So glad I got to attend the Addison October Fest! Admission and parking were free on Sunday! Thank you, Jesus! There were lots of food booths to choose from. In and Out burger even had a booth there! It was the most popular! Lol. I loved the German Costumes, the Weeny Dogs and the popularity of the Wennies. Heck, it was more like a Weeny Fest! They might as well call it the Weeny Fest! Lmbo!.. I also enjoyed the old school rides, indoor seating and backdrops for photos. I recommend going when its free so you wont complain about the the prices for food and drinks. There's a few interesting restaurants in proximity that I want to check out. Id like to visit, Barrocho Taco and Slim Pizza!

Wow! At least two thousand people, great bands, beer, pretzels and brats. Loved it and will be back again.

How would I describe Oktoberfest? The mini drunk version of the Texas State Fair. I mean this in a good way. Being completely unfamiliar with what Oktoberfest celebrated, my friends and I traveled here on Thursday (free admission) to see what all the fuss was about. We scored free parking at a garage near the festival, and avoid the hefty $20 parking fee near the Circle. There were two places to buy tickets, which is the currency used to purchase food and drinks at the festival. 1 ticket = $1. They are located at tents at the entrance or back tent of the festival. I recommend bringing cash to valid standing in the long credit card lines or paying the $3 fee from the atms. Beer was good, super crisp, plus you could purchase memorabilia for this year's festival. The main places to buy food are the booths along the right side of the park, or the large tent in the back of the park. In the booths you'll find more State Fair type items: funnel cake, sweet tea, potato tornadoes, popcorn. In the large tent you'll find a cafeteria styled setting with large tables to sit at, and food stations to order. They offer turkey legs, soft pretzels (dry AF, avoid), and other German delicacies. There are a ton of booths through out Addison circle where you can get free things for walking up to talk them them. Entertainment was found at the front stage near the entrance, or in the large tent in the back of the park. Overall I had a blast. I got my funnel cake craving filled for 7 tickets, and had a blast with my friends. Probably would only come on the free admission day as parking is expensive if you can't find it for free, and events are similar to the state fair (to me anyways).

The wife and I came here this past Sunday and had a nice time. It rained the day before so the grass area was wet and muddy. That's ok because we spent most of our time walking on the concrete paths. This place is 38 minutes from our house in Fort Worth, so we're glad it didn't disappoint. Oh and it's free admission on Sundays. WINNING! The atmosphere definitely screams 'Oktoberfest'. You see people dressed up in their beer fest outfits and there's all sorts of fall decorations around you. Wish I would've came with a big group of friends to drink with. My wife doesn't drink so I just had one beer by myself. Prices are a bit steep for beer and food, but that's expected at these annual events. My cup of beer was $8. I had the light Paulaner Munchen. It definitely tasted like Oktober and was super refreshing. The wife and I walked around and got a bunch of freebies, so no complaints there. We also watched the Dachshund race and enjoyed being around all of the celebrations. Would I come back next year? Heck yes! I love the fall and this event definitely gives you the fall feels. I enjoyed the freebies, ice cold beer, decorations, and the overall vibe. I'm a fan!

oktoberfest is ok...its packed on Friday and Saturday. Thursday and Sunday are not as crowded and is usually free!!! :) each day has different things going on. Food vendors are good but EXPENSIVE!!! I recommend helmut strudels! very delicious!

This is a nice place but it is quite expensive. It is free on Thursday and Sunday but everyone likes to come on Friday and Saturday. The beers cost $8 each. The food is nice but not worth the price. The exhibits are nice. You can find some nice items from the vendors. The shows are quirky but really tie the place together.

Good thing it's for the experience and not for really anything else except emptying your wallet. Everything is overpriced so bring your bank. It's like a mini stAte fair. Free admission on Thursday and Sunday day this year. Would I go again? Probably it's a seasonal thing that you expect to spend a lot of money on so HAVE FUN! The corn was delicious though, worth the $5 Turkey leg platter $12 Old large mug from previous fest $16 Regular 16oz refill $8 New cup with beer is $20 Weak funnel cake $8

Funnel cakes and wine at the carnival section! So much fun!!!

He was very happy and really liked the house mayo, which was different because he's usually a mustard guy. I got chili and it was so good that I did noy want to share with my husband-who wanted ao much more than I was willing to share. On our next visit-because we will be back, I will have the Chili Willie burger. Meanwhile, I was very comfortable inside. They played Millenial videos a la old MTV, and I could not stop watching. The Last Supper Painting with music legends was also a lot of fun! Cannot wait to return!

This is why my rating is only based on the food quality. Brisket and Queso $10 Smoked brisket, Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce, cilantro. A little too high for an appetizer, but the queso and brisket were good. I wasn't a fan of the sauce, the sweetness was a clash for me. The chips were also way too salty. The house salad $14 was an XL salad for sure! Everything was so good and fresh. They kindly brought me extra cheese and grilled jalapeños. The ranch was just right too! Downside: my patty was over-seasoned and overcooked. My partner purchased their most basic burger, the Waylon $12, the fries are sold separately. This burger was small, and once again, the patty itself was a disappointment. Texas sun cocktail was refreshing but just a simple pineapple and vodka mix.

Popped into Drake's while meeting up with friends and oh the experience! Loved the environment,…read moremusic and classic feels. Our server Alexis was amazing! Very kind, patient, knowledgeable of the menu & drinks (even non alcoholic for me) and her service was top notch. Now the food... first off the sourdough bread was delish. Shrimp was tasty and the gem salad, tasty again. My friends had the Honey Badger martinis and shrimp scampi and they loved it. Everything about this place was classy. Will definitely be returning to Drake's.

Upon entering you're met with dim lights, deep burgundy leather seats and images of musicians painted in every corner. The restaurant is absolutely stunning! Our table wasn't quite ready so we were asked to wait at the bar for short while. We started the celebration early by ordering a few drinks and by the time they arrived, our table was ready. We were lead to a large half moon shaped booth nestled in the corner; which was large and plush. Plenty of room for us four and honestly at least two more people. On our table was a place card that said Happy Birthday to my partner which was a nice touch. Our waitress arrived and very pleasant and helpful. She asked if we had questions and gave us some highlights of the menu. We ordered another round along with Meatballs Troubadour, the Heavenly Sourdough and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. The Heavenly Sourdough and Meatballs Troubadour were absolutely the stars of the show! The meatballs were flavorful and juicy. The marinara sauce paired wonderfully with the sourdough. For entrees, Dry-Aged Delmonico, Pomme Puree, Crispy Brussels, Honey Truffle Chicken and Whole Lobster Spaghetti. All the food was divine! To wrap it all up we of course ordered the 24 layer strawberry cake. The cake was bought out with a candle and 4 glasses of bubbly which was a very nice treat. Drake's met all my expectations and more. A huge thank you to the manager stopping by to make sure all was well throughout our meal. And also our waitress for her professionalism, knowledgeable and all around pleasant vibe. Drake's is now on my love list!
