So cute! Very friendly, clean & funky. Loved our little getaway in Rockport. Walk to everything!

Absolutely loved our stay this weekend! The small touches are everything- most comfortable bed, candy bowls throughout the inn, cozy blankets and robes in the room, clean, and eclectic. I wish all hotels were this fantastic! Breakfast in the morning was yummy. The perfect mix of hotel/b&b. Please expand to more locations!!

The decor is fun, clean, and a whimsical mix of old and new.

One of the nicest places we have stayed. The attention to detail was amazing. Cozy, charming, comfortable. The owners were fantastic and you can tell they love this property. The breakfast was delicious and we appreciated that they catered to a gluten food allergy. Walking distance to everything. This is a rare gem that I would honestly prefer to keep to myself but also want to spread the word because it is simply wonderful.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Addison Choate this past weekend. The location was easy to find, and it was within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach. The decor/design style is gorgeous- I want to live there! So many thoughtful touches, and Marshall was onsite to help us if we needed anything while we were there. They set the bar- we will certainly be seeking out boutique bed & breakfasts/hotels when we travel now!

What a charming inn! Impeccably clean. I love the eclectic vibe of nautical, Americana and whimsy. Reservations were easy, communication great. Easy walk to downtown Rockport. We enjoyed the Christmas tree lighting that Innkeeper Marshall told us about. Enjoyed a delicious warm scone for breakfast. We ate in one of the little nooks on the first floor. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Rm 3, booked last minute and all that was available. Smart checkin is awesome and efficient. The room while small, was inviting, clean comfortable! AC was super, bed firm but comfy and water pressure great! The outside deck overlooking Front beach was perfect on a clear sunny August day! In season, beer and wine are offered. Nice Adirondack chairs, a few high top tables and other seating ida available to enjoy the view, eat your takeout, sip your coffee or beverage while Enjoying a relaxing view. Parking is a short walk away! Room has a micro, small fridge and kuerig. We will definitely return to enjoy the Cove in the future.

I have very mixed feelings about this experience. I have never stayed somewhere like this before…read more This is more of a strange mash up of Airbnb meets hotel/inn. Upon arrival we realized there is not a single human working there. We had to park down the street and walk with our bags. Find the side door, enter a code, climb the stairs, enter another code to get into our room. The room (8) was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The sink in the bathroom was so insanely small it was impossible to use it without water splashing everywhere. This is a very old building and you could hear every sound in the surrounding rooms as well as every step of the people in the room above. The door to our room didn't go all the way to the floor, there was a large gap. Basically it felt like there was no privacy at all. This made the stay a bit uncomfortable but we only stayed one night and honestly, only for a couple of hours after an event and before check out so it was acceptable. If we were on vacation I would not have been happy with the experience. The location is great, walking distance to shops and restaurants and across from the beach but for almost $300 in December and all the issues I mentioned, I would not go back. They should really let you know before you book that you cannot park or even stop and unload near the hotel. That is so unusual and inconvenient! They only mention this in the informational email before check in/after you have booked & paid. They did mention that you have to climb stairs but not that they are so steep! My husband and I are relatively young and healthy but we had trouble carrying our bags/belongings up and down the stairs. I am not sure they meet the standards of building codes today, they may be grandfathered in since it's an old building. I climb stairs in my house everyday, those were treacherous with luggage! If you NEED a place to stay in Rockport and you don't want a "hotel" experience I guess this is a good choice.

Best with apps that can give you the lowest price. I found calling the hotel first but checked on line and it was less expensive! One thing might be beneficial if their Signs on the property were much larger and possibly lite at night even with GPS I PASSED BY IT... and had to turn around. With this place among the trees and shrubs it would help with much better signage and lights. Color scheme is Nautical and pleasing to the eye. Area for gathering is quaint but could use abit of fresh flowers since it's spring and the dining area could use the same bright and fresh flowers it might cost more for this Inn but for the value your paying for a night could bolster its appeal much more....one can't alone take in the account visitors will come cause of the location it needs to be first rate and make it more curb appeal and when entering the register counter needs a vase of bright fresh flowers or lots of green plants. I WOULD NOT WASTE 1/2 of FRONT DESK COUNTER SELLING CANDLES FOR ANOTHER COMPANY! Focus on your own property and not promoting their merchandise! You are not a souvenir shop! The out door rooms by the entrance is like an old motel from the 1960's it lacks a welcome Matt of maybe a wreath on the doors, large pots scattered around with over flowing cascading flowers even those solar lights around the paved asphalt parking. Even small Christmas white lights around the windows outside from the sitting area... add more seaside items besides 10 Booklets fanned out on the coffee table. Imagination will truly make your stay much more memorable! ****It is nice but OUTDATED, Needs to update the front entrance ALOT, Needs more live flowers and plants in and around the property to stand out. Most important OUTSIDE LIGHTS, LARGER SIGNAGE! But I'm sure the owners are aware of its previous reviews which can be read.****

Pointed out a nice walk along the coastline into town in a way you can't miss it. We slept in the pebble beach room. What a view!!! Nice sunset, looking over the ocean. In the morning they prepare a nice breakfast with fresh fruit, greek yoghurt, cake, bread and eggs, and pancakes. Coffee is per machine which gives everybody a wide variety of flavors and let you decide how strong you'd like your coffee. Then when you're set and prepared for breakfast you can sit outside on the porch (I love porches!!!) or in the garden at the pond. Then again start enjoying. The sunrise, the nice environment and stroll a bit up and down the street afterwards... It's so lovely here. The room itself was nice and comfortable but still a star is missing as we had to shower in the bathtub. Normally that's not a big problem, but as we sere standing in the tub under the roof you have to lean sideways not to bump your head and there is no place to put the shower head. So have to keep it in your hands. So while your standing in the tub, holding the shower head, leaning sideways you also have to wash yourself. I think this is a big minus for everybody taller then 5 ft ;)

We had originally planned on…read moregoing to Miami but because of the COVID situation in Florida, made the decision to stay in New England for a little beach getaway in Rockport instead. Because this was for a special occasion, we were initially going to BOUGIE it up at the W in South Beach so when we scrapped those plans, I still wanted to splurge on an ocean front property for our Rockport getaway and selected this place. Arrival: The place is right on the corner and easy to spot from the street. The road from the car to the entrance of the hotel is gravel and not amenable to rolling suitcases easily. Going up to the entrance requires ascending stairs. The concierge was there, after 10pm, friendly and welcoming which was a pleasant surprise for an Inn, which can have limited hours per my past experience. This property DOES NOT HAVE ELEVATORS but the staff offered numerous times to help us take our luggage to the 3rd floor but I felt that we could handle it. The room: We selected a "queen oceanside". The room is tiny. Like literally probably a few feet of space outside the bed in all directions. The bathroom is equally small, only one space to stand which happens to be in front of the sink, in front of the toilet, and to step into the shower. I've had larger rooms in Europe. The bed is very comfortable and the AC worked well. Everything was very clean. The towels were soft. The shower had top 3 best hotel water pressures I've ever experienced. You have to hold on or it'll blow you away. The water was hot. The toilet flush was weak. The tub initially drained very well but after showering for a few days, on our last day (thank god), it didn't drain at all? There was a mosquito inside our room the second we stepped into the room and I can say, having been home for about 24 hours, I am absolutely covered in mosquito bites from our stay here. Our first night, before opening any windows, GF got bitten on her face while we slept. It reminded me of the days I went to medical school in the Caribbean and slept in a mosquito net. Our second night, we opened the windows because the room was prohibitively steamy after taking a shower and the following day I noticed there are a bunch of holes in the screen. Classic. There is no fridge or microwave. The flatscreen TV on the wall worked well but no option for netflix or any streaming services. The view is absolutely stunning but there is no beach or water access. The window is only covered by a shade which doesn't do a great job of blocking out the light. It is very easy to hear doors slamming and other guests taking the stairs so if you are a light sleeper, I would recommend ear plugs. Services: There were ample towels provided. We were told at check in that there would be a card hanging on our door from which we could select to receive additional items. We requested new towels and hung the card outside the door. When we left in the afternoon, we still had not received requested towels so we asked at the desk. When we returned later that night, we still had not received the towels. Eventually, we received them about an hour or so after we returned. Amenities: There is a pool outside that overlooks the ocean. Sitting at the pool for a few hours was one of our best experiences during our trip. The pool is small and the seating limited. There is no room service. There was no maid service during the day. Location: A 40 minute walk to Bearskin Neck (the touristy shit you probably came to Rockport for) and essentially requires driving. There is really nothing within walking distance. There are extremely limited options for food delivery and literally no options for delivery after 10pm. If you're a night owl and you like to eat late, you will be hungry. Miscellaneous: There is a bar and restaurant in the lobby. You can sit on the veranda or inside at the bar. It is a gorgeous view. The drinks are expensive, similar to Manhattan prices ($17 for a drink). We ordered a few cocktails and ate at the restaurant on our last night. I ordered the risotto, and was happy to see vegetarian options on the menu, but the risotto was essentially tasteless and a waste of calories. On our last day, I woke up to three missed calls from the hotel and a voicemail stating, "nevermind, you don't have to switch your room after all". Huh? Why would I have to switch my room? I booked four nights. A staff member unfortunately WALKED IN on us while we were sleeping and was very apologetic. There is no "do not disturb" tag to leave outside the door. I will say the staff were all incredible and the best part of the stay. Ultimately, the 400-something per night we paid for this stay was outrageous and not at all worth what we received. Our W South Beach stay, ON THE BEACH with BEACH ACCESS, in a major US city, tons of amenities, was only slightly more per night, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Wedding Venue Review: We saw so many venues at the start of planning and the Beauport was the only one that made a lasting impression. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to host our wedding there. It was so stunning, beautiful and perfect. We were truly proud to invite our friends and family to such a breathtaking place. The food was absolutely to die for, the waitstaff and hotel staff were so sweet, and our coordinator Jacey was attentive in the months leading up to our event. We did have some critiques. The communication with our coordinator was not 100% on the day of our wedding. There were small things here and there, but the biggest one was that a row was meant to be reserved for our bridesmaids, groomsmen and flower girl, but it was not so they ended up having to stand up with us. We discussed this many times during planning, and emphasized the importance of only having our man of honor and our best man standing up with us. There was no apology for this pretty considerable error until I brought it up myself a week after the wedding. The other critique was that my parents were in city facing rooms and had a very hard time sleeping due to excessive noise from the street. Other people in the room block had much better rooms which we felt should have been given to our parents. Other than that, everything was amazing. It was truly so special and we will never ever forget it. We couldn't be more grateful to have had the most perfect sunny day on the water in Gloucester, a place that has been special to my heart since I was a kid. Thank you Beauport Hotel! We will never ever forget our wedding day.
