I don't know if you can imagine my joy when I saw the Paris Baguette sign off the main road while…read moreheading to the resort. As a Bay Area foodie, that sight instantly made my day. If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

Paris Baguette was super cute and offers so many great goodies. They have a large parking lot and…read moretons of indoor and outdoor seating available. I love how you can pick out what items you want on your own and they even offer different sandwiches and lunch options. The coffee drinks are cute, but not super flavorful in my opinion. Everything I have tried bakery wise is so good!

We had a great lunch here. One of my friends and I each got a sandwich and decided to split it…read more Although my wrap with turkey stuffing and cranberry was better than her chicken sandwich, they were both very good. Their fries were really really good. The iced tea was fresh brewed and had good flavor. My other girlfriend got a salad and was thrilled with how good the flavor was. The water wasn't bad but I still opted for iced tea. The weather was so nice we were able to eat outside. They do have an outside and inside areas. And the bakery goods looked so good but we were too full to try anything. Our waitress was really good making sure that we got what we needed and that we had refills before we even asked. Bluffton is such a pretty town to walk around.

My wife ordered the macho salad and I ordered the shrimp & grits. Immediately after placing our order, my plate shows up. Wow, that was fast. Meanwhile we wait while they then deliver my salad. Seems a bit out of order but ok. Then we wait. And get a Caesar salad. And advise - not ours. While waiting we hear the server next to us announce the specials - which our server did NOT inform us of as we arrived. My wife would have ordered different. Finally her salad arrives and we eat. My shrimp and grits were sparse on shrimp and were made with mushrooms and reminded me of ingredients found in an omelet. Not a typical flavor. I finished most but not all of it. Just a bit weird. And that 1/2 a biscuits? A lump of flavorless starch. Our server was nice but seems she wasn't as seasoned as other servers nearby. She should inform everyone of the specials. Ask your server if there are specials. Our cocktails were the best part of our meal. And the prices? That bowl of shrimp and grits, along with my simple side salad were a whopping $23. My wife's salad was comparably priced. The dogs split their bowl, which was $10 just a bit much but they did bring us a bowl of water. All-in-all average food, a bit cramped for seating, over priced and a server that needed to up her game.
