Such a scam. Took 2 hours for a shuttle to come pick me up from the airport. Then i waited in the line for another hour and a half (with a reservation/already paid for the rental car mind you!!) Everyone in line before us kept having issues with their cards as they all kept being "declined" because their bank was recognizing it as fraud. Spoke with the RUDEST front desk gal with pink hair, tongue ring, sweat pants... she was so unprofessional and had no customer service kindness even though she claimed she was a supervisor. And lastly-- they wouldn't accept our insurance and wanted to charge $14 extra A DAY for the Sun Pass and that's not even including the individual toll prices each time. I've NEVER had this experience with rentals before and I rent all the time. Thought i'd try this one out since the day rate was significantly cheaper but DEFINITELY not worth it-- would end up being more than your OG rental companies. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. They also do not have unlimited miles btw! Everything was a lie.

Classic bait and switch: reserved a toyota rav 4 online thru expedia. Called when we landed they didn't pick up the phone for 40 mins and there was no shuttle in the designated area like our confirmation email stated. Finally got someone on the phone waited 12 mins for shuttle, they take you off site, dumpy office, 1 person working. We waited 36 mins for his transaction to be done, then the real bs started. A 2000 dollar deposit for security which was not made clear at reservation time. Then i was getting a kia telluride which was considerably larger than we wanted but i do own one so the transition would have been very easy as im familiar with the car. Then they want your insurance info, which ours was fine but if it wasnt what are you supposed to do at that point? That should be discussed before reserving. Now come the best part: counter guy continues to interrupt our transaction taking phone calls speaking in spanish. My husband is fluent and can overhear them discussing that we were there in front of him and three hour wait for a car etc. he gets off the phone and says he's sorry but no SUV you can have a toyota corrolla. At this point 45 mins after my scheduled pick up time I flipped and said nope get the shuttle back and they took us back to the airport. The counter guy and shuttle driver must have communicated about us being pissed about the switch and shuttle driver's attitude was disgusting when he returned to pick us up. What does he care we tipped him already right? Well to add insult to injury hes driving while playing on his phone. Please see my attached pic for proof. When i asked him to put his phone away and pay attention to the road he told me to relax. Wrong buddy. I said while my kids are in the shuttle and youre not driving properly im not gonna relax. And btw i said, i got a pic of u on your phone while driving and his whole tune changed. Please do not try and save yourself a few dollars by using these unprofessional bait and switch conmen. It was a really horrible experience and not the nicest way to start a vacation.

We recently used Fox rentals through Expedia. First of all,…read morebeware that they are NOT located at the airport. The shuttle runs during "business hours" which is listed as 5am-12:30. (Another traveler had to call them after our 12am arrival flight even though they expressly say they shuttle and allowed us to book a 12:30am pickup time. We even provided our flight information to them) The shuttle driver made it sound like they were doing us a favor by "staying late" and had a $5 bill sticking out of the dash so we all knew he was accepting tips. We get there and we had booked the rental in my Husbands name, using my mother's card (she and I handled the itinerary for the trip.) Although we purchased the additional insurance through Expedia, Fox required that we also purchase insurance through them at another $15.40 per day. The fees will absolutely floor you, but we will get to that later. They wanted a credit card on file (or a debit card as long as they could put a $1000 hold on it) for incidentals. They wouldn't accept a credit card from my mother, it had to be the in the booked drivers name. We asked to switch the booked driver to my mother, nope they COULD NOT do that. They did offer to REBOOK under my mom's name, but not until the following "morning" at 3x the cost. Eventually my husband just gave them his card, they charged a random amount, but said they'd just do $750- they charged us $775.45 the additional fees the charged us conveniently added up to $275.45, so he was refunded $500.00 on the dot. This was not explained to us, we were told it was just a hold for incidentals. They said nothing about the charges they knew they were charging us coming out at the ends but obviously that's what the plan was. My god THE FEES!! Fees for the privilege of using their license plates In the state of Florida PER DAY, fees for "energy recovery" PER DAY (for them to vacuum the carpet and wipe down the dash),A BUS ACCESS FEE Because they let you use their "free shuttle." A "PRIVILEGE FEE RECOVERY" that they pay the airport and then pass on to the customer for the privilege of operating their business "at the airport." (Reminder we had to be shuttled from the airport and nearly didn't have a chance to check in. If they didn't "stay late" and the other traveler hadn't called, we would have been in a world of trouble! And they're also charging a bus access fee, so seems like a double dip to me. No "at the airport" privileges but all the cost of them!) A daily cost for "PlatePass Inc" although I'm pretty certain we only went on roads that required tolls on two different days. We weren't offered anything other than this. (I highly recommend looking into alternative options on your own, they're not trying to help you AT ALL! There may be a way to buy your own transponder, I saw some at Publix but I have no idea how they work) No one went out with us to look over the vehicle to see if there were any damages prior to us taking it. I took all around pictures and videos so they'd be time stamped incase it became an issue. When we got back, no one looked over the vehicle with us. They had us leave it with the keys on the dash. The shuttle driver was rushing us to get on the shuttle so he could depart for the airport. The whole thing was so strange--- even the non-descript pick up Places had a ton of people there that loaded into unmarked sprinter vans. VANS THAT MY HUSBAND AND MOTHER WERE GOING TO GET INTO BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT IT WAS FOX! Their shuttles are clearly marked but at the time we didn't know that (and for all I know those sprinter vans were Fox!) I would recommend saving yourself the headache and making sure you can conduct your business at the airport. I fully believe the nominal savings we thought we had using Fox was not worth the headache the "what ifs" (what if another traveler hadn't called to have a shuttle sent to us at 12:10-12:15 when they hadn't planned on sending a shuttle for the 12am arrival?? What if they got into a sprinter van thinking it was Fox's shuttle? What if they tried to charge us for dents/dings already on the vehicle?) and we actually ended up paying more than we thought we had in savings. The vehicle itself was okay, it definitely seemed like it has been used and abused. We babied it- but all functionalities seemed to work just fine. All and all we learned our lesson . Now that we know what to expect, I'll definitely take it into consideration for future trips requiring a rental vehicle.

We felt that Roya either did…read morenot fully understand the process or was attempting to add unnecessary charges to our reservation. We were repeatedly offered services and insurance options that we had already paid for through Expedia. Even after declining additional services multiple times, there was continued pressure, with items being added "just in case" we changed our minds. We ended up leaving with an additional $459 in charges and later had to return to explain that we had already purchased extra coverage through Expedia. We also received a lower-class vehicle than the one we originally booked. Although Roya was apologetic and removed one insurance charge, she stated that we had received an upgrade. From our perspective, we had already paid for that level of vehicle from the beginning. Overall, we feel we paid significantly more than expected for unnecessary add-ons that were not clearly explained or removed. It is unfortunate because every other part of the experience was good, but because of this situation, we would not choose Fox again.

My experience was horrible from start to finish. I waited at the airport for over 35 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. Once I got to ACE Rent A Car, there were only two associates working with a line of customers waiting.I was given a white Kia that appeared fine during the initial inspection, but immediately after driving away, a low tire pressure warning came on. I had to return right away. They put air in the tire and assured me everything was fine. After getting to my hotel and parking, I noticed the tire was flat again -- the PSI had dropped to 10, which is extremely unsafe. I tried contacting customer service and was left on hold for over 40 minutes multiple times before the call disconnected. I finally reached an associate named Katherine, who told me to go put air in the tire at a gas station and drive the vehicle back because their roadside driver was "in the hospital."At 10:30 PM, I had to drive 25 minutes back with a dangerous tire issue just to exchange the vehicle. During the replacement process, Katherine was rude, texting and taking selfies while helping me sign documents. No accommodations, discount, or real apology were offered. Instead, she laughed and mentioned that the same thing had happened to someone else earlier.I could go on and on about this experience, but please save yourself the stress, time, and money and avoid renting from this place. I've reached out to customer Service and I still haven't received a reply .

I made a reservation and included my Dollar Express membership number. This was apparently ignored. I speak to the agent at the Express counter int he garage, who tells me that no, she can't look up my number (because my rental is "prepaid," see?), and now my family and I and all our belongings have to go back to the terminal to get my car. Once there, we get to wait in a huuuuge line, because they only have 2 rental agents, who apparently have to negotiate the Magna Carta with each passenger. Literally, it took longer for me (a repeat customer and "Dollar Express" member) to get my pre-paid, pre-arranged rental car in Orlando, than it did for me to FLY TO ORLANDO IN THE FIRST PLACE. I get that staffing shortages are an issue, but it's not like they don't know when people are coming for their cars. They have reservation times, flight numbers, and everything! Why is it so hard to plan for people arriving to pick up cars, when they tell you, days in advance? And why even require a "negotiation" at the rental counter? You already have my credit card. I'm happy to provide a driver's license number when I register. Just let me be on my way already. Airlines handle more complicated transactions through a kiosk. Also, their PlatePass (pre-paid tolls) is a ripoff - just get yourself a SunPass at any grocery store in Florida. (Seriously $54? For what? And why can't you just bill through for any tolls? You already have the license plate, credit card, and time of pickup and return. It's not rocket science.) Returning the car at the airport, there is barely anyone to help direct traffic (no more room in the return lanes!), never mind checking in your car and providing a receipt. Having gone 0 for 2 with Dollar between LAX and MCO, I'm now in "fool me twice, shame on you" territory. I don't care how cheap the rental is, it's not worth it.
