When he was free, he checked on me to see if I needed help with anything. I was looking to purchase some 12 gauge shotgun, slug ammo. The guy behind the counter was the owner, Glen. We got chatting about a particular firearm my wife is interested in. He showed a few options, was super knowledgeable, not pushy at all. It was a great first visit and definitely a place I look forward to returning to in the future. Clean, bright, well stocked, ample parking, reasonably priced, easy to get to from just about anywhere and a knowledgeable owner... a real recipe for success! Might just be my new go to gun shop! Then I found Lee's, and everything changed. Justin walked me through everything--weight sizes, rod types, bait selection--all in a way that was clear, approachable, and perfect for a beginner like me. Starting something new like this can be overwhelming and intimidating, but Justin made it incredibly digestible. He's patient, friendly, and knowledgeable as heck. On top of that, he gave me some great tips on local fishing spots and some DIY tricks that work for him. There also seems to be a lot of employees who work there, although none of them have ever spoken to me except the one girl at the checkout counter who shrieked "next" when I was waiting to pay. Although she was kind of shouting in general so maybe it wasn't directly at me. She was able to look at her phone while checking me out but she removed all the security tags so that is a win. I've never had to wait too long in line to get checked out so really can't complain. For clothing, I have to say this Dick's is great although for service it's not terrific so I figure that equals a three star rating.
